  • is that a dead baby at 645? on the fire escape

  • HAHAAHAH AT 9:10 THATS ME WITH THE RED SHIRT ;)

  • waoo this was a long time ago i still remember thiss :) i used to live on 1466 the building to the left...

  • 1:14 You know that guy hasent seen a hot job in a while, best entrance ever

  • @liuetenant1 I'm not sure what city you are talking about but thank you for sharing your ignorance of our job.

  • Nice vid.

Most fires such as this ,look really BAD from the outside but citizens are surprised at how quick the fire gets knocked down with a little H2o.

It's only the big CONFLAGRATIONS that require lots of water.

A good salute goes out to the FDNY fireboys!!!!!!

  • Doggy!

Theres allwyas a fire in bronx it seams , nice famiy seamed happy but must suck to have the floors and rooms aroudn u burning when playing a game.

  • Was anyone hurt in it.

What was that about two young 15 and 16 year old girls.

I did not hear it but I know the reporter said oh my god so I was thinking it was bad.

  • i love fdny and respect the hell out of you guys and im not trying to criticize at all im just curious why your operators dont don thier gear before arriving on scene? just curious, stay safe

  • @tierney40 yea that enternce was pretty boss!

  • 1:14 is the best entrance EVER..!

  • Videos such as this will always have historical significance

  • ntfd125...can you post me your email address as id like to explain a bit more about the uk scba procedure your find it interesting and thanks for your reply cheers ..k

  • I posted this video because it is a pretty good representation of a "typical fire' in a Bronx appartment house and a rare video starting with the initial hose stretch to total knock down. I rarely respond to any comments and certainly don't engage in debates about prowess or procedures in various cities let alone countries. Im sure there are acceptable forums for you ladies to discuss your various cup sizes someplace else. Out of characters or I would continue.

  • ha your having a laugh arent you ?...u guys have no BA procedures..uve no BA control.? who monitors your crews when your in the building ?..who initiats your emergency teams if one of your crews doesnt come out before his time of whistle..ie.if he runs out of air..?and how do you know the location of a BA team if you havent a BA control board..it must be like a lottery.when your crews go in?.ah i think they were last seen on the 3rd floor..yeah ok..the elite hahaha..

  • @wausau47 On every alarm a company is given an assignment, 1st due truck or engine ,2nd, 3rd and so on. The battalion chief knows which crew is performing what task. The Captains or LT's are in charge of their crews. The safety officer is in charge of overseeing everyone. He will ask for PAR (accountability) multiple times of every company during the incident. everyone wears an SCBA so there really isn't a team. The crews let the IC know their location.

  • Wow.....what a fast put down

  • Молодцы, очень быстро дали ствол через лестничную клетку, а сразу давануть лафетником с АЛ не быстрее было бы?

  • Wausau47@ the reason we ventalite from the roof is because heat rises and the heat needs to have some place to go besides staying in the room with us it's also so we can attack the fire from above

  • im a uk firefighter and we would of fought this fire slightly different..on arrival we would of had a jet working from the ground into the window .on initial arrival ..than once the areil platform was in position than the attack on the fire would be from.the platform.we dont put guys on the roof for obvious reasons..we ventilate through the buildings windows..but you guys seem to use cutters on the roof ..? a recipe foer disaster..specially if the roof is weakened....

  • @wausau47 well the fdny is probably the most elite firedepartment in the world with most calls in the world, and this is not U.K. this is New York the buildings are probably not constructed the same way and they put this fire out in 3 min so dont complain i dont think you would do it any better

  • @wausau47 the platform was there first

  • GOOD JOB FDNY ! GOD BLESS YOU ! LIKE THIS IF YOU THINK MIKE BLOOMBERG IS AN ASSHOLE FOR LAYING FIREFIGHTERS OFF !

  • Is that Mike Ciampo @ 7.19 From Fire Engineering ?

  • 1:25, nows thats what i call aggresive, great job guys keep it up

  • you have my father in this video, and it brings tears to my eyes, showing me how brave he is as he is climbing out of the window onto the fire escape all covered in smoke. Thank You ....FDNY NY's Bravest. S2

  • @kitt3217 God bless your Dad on every run man ! Greez from Ladder 4 FDNY

  • 92 Engine stretching the line and getting it done. Best in the business.

  • crack pipe accident

  • No one can compare to FDNY. From cooking to extinguished in less than 5 minutes.....unreal

  • Nice job guys!!! saved the whole 6th floor - looks like a kitchen went up based on what window the fire's at.

  • Great job guys ! Right tools at the right time .Very good interior attack .

  • FDNY is simply amazing. in the time it takes most agencies to just set up and plan their attack, FDNY will have already set up their gear, gotten into the building, and completely controlled the fire. this video is a testament to their speed and skill. you just dont mess with the best!

  • lol those fire fighters that came late is like SHIT i want to up to the llive fire.. they must have been waiting for so long..

  • I live across the street (Roosevelt Gardens)

    and remember this fire,

No, I didn't see the actual fire but I recall seeing boards blocking the windows and everybody claiming that they saw "the fire" lol

  • Its been a zillion years since I lived in that neighborhood.. reminds me of the fire we use to have in our building when I was a kid.

    Good job guys.

  • there was nothing unsafe about this operation! Just another example how the Bronx hasit down and operates like gentlemen.....good work fellas!

  • Great stop.

  • 3mins 15 sec after first truck and water is on... nice. :)

  • looks like the 27 truck rider was kicken it old-school rollin up on the scene, looks cool but very unsafe. FDNY '343' Never Forget

  • 3:30 water on the fire nice work Bro's

  • more like 3:20 but i agree

  • Looks like 44 came up a little short. I get the whole engine tailboard lined up w the door. but to block a TL out of the throat?? is that the SOP? or just shit happens?

  • battailion 17 to the bronx, we have one line stretched by civilians, now in operation, 2nd line being stretched, fire is doubtful. 6 story brick, 50 by 100, fire on the top floor, using all hands. including civilians.

  • great post. gotta love a little help here and there

  • nice ummm brakes there on 27 truck

  • Check my Username for free IQ Test

  • that shit is scary

  • note the tower and truck with lines being streched and rescue with msu div and batt squad and hazmat

  • my dads from 182nd and grand concourse

  • this has to be a second or at least extra engine and truck

  • Ladder 27, 7 months after Black Sunday...

  • FDNY Kicks ass!

  • Dam good aerial placement! That is how you show the world how FDNY gets it done! He could of hit both sides of the building at any time. That is how you place a aerial! Not to bad on the stick either!

  • wasn't this under 1560 grand concourse?

  • Yup, had it listed for a long time under the wrong address.

  • i use to live in 1686 grand concourse

  • I got a dog!

  • Aerial w/co.27 arrival at 1:23, outriggers set, booming out at 2:23!GO NYFD!!! Show em how its done!!

  • OMG ITS LADDER 44

  • nice knock down guys very good job.done the way it should be

  • job well done as usual

  • It was probably set intentionally by some god damn realtor. New York Realtors are the scam of the fucking earth.

  • 5 floors, 3 minutes on scene: BAD ASS MTHR FKRS! GO NYFD!

  • @ishff77 LOL, its FDNY!

  • @MtaBus5102 I know, I know, I cant help it. NY is the only city that puts city initials last. I word for LFD, my friend is working for VFD, but if I knew someone from new york, I would still say they worked NYFD, habit!

  • awesome stop great job

  • awesome stop great job

  • Good stop Well done

  • That's not 1650. 1650 is Bx Leb. Hospital.

  • did anyone get hurt???????

  • anyone else notice the civillians helping with the stretch at 0:27. hahahahah

  • ur right

  • I love truck 27's response to te scene,1:15, ready to go!!

  • With-in one minute after arriving each truck had outriggers out and towers up, amazing speed! Great job!

  • @jsnasselin thx

  • another credit to FDNY...get INSIDE and "get 'er done." Good training film for many "surrond-'n drown" depts.

  • USUALLY, when the ladders go up,... the building comes DOWN!!!

  • For most departments, this wouls be a surround and drown incident. As a retired captain fron Atl,...this shows what it's all about.

  • Thats the FDNY for you they will have the fire out in 5 minutes

  • omg tower ladder 44 isnt running a spare wow what a site

  • i get it

  • Great,more hose slappers.
