I love how at 3:08 the Internet Lounge (a staple at most cons now) is nothing but just remote telnet terminals.

oh my god.... what the hell... now if you compare today's furries to that.... we are alot more kid friendly and awesome... I'm sorry but those suits just sucked probably from lack of technology but still... and you don't really see many adult furries today anyway.... O.o... this just kinda scares me.... haters gonna hate... ;3

Thank you very much for posting this. So many of the original people who got the fandom going are featured in this piece, and it is one of the better balanced main-stream media reports on Furry.

Haha, at least back then people just accepted furry for what it was, a harmless weird subculture and nothing more. ahhh, the good old days.

I remember ConFurence 8 as one of the biggest and most unfair ironies of my life. It was going to be held at the Knott's Berry Farm hotel just six miles from where I lived. And what happened? In July 1996 I ended up having to move to San Bernadino, 70 miles away!
But in spite of that unfair turn of events, it was still fun! I showed off a preview of my "Heather Fox" cartoon...it was only half-finished and had no music, but it got a laugh from those who saw it! :)
