This isn't one of the Ebay "Grand" ones, those are copies of this, which I believe is a Hohner. The Ebay ones don't have this pickup system with the stacked humbuckers and the individually selectable pickups. The frets on this one are nice and level with no sharp edges, neck is straight, action good, intonation perfect.
Between the Ebay "Grand" guitar and a Steinberger Spirit, I'd recommend the Spirit every time. It's a high quality instrument - have played one professionally for a decade.
The Steinberger has a neck-thru body as well, just rock solid - also the Spirit uses an R-Trem instead of an S-trem (which is on this one), and that tends to hold tune better. The R-trem tuners have a 40:1 ratio, while this has something far less... it's much more picky. Anyways, I have a Spirit GT-Pro that I got in 1999 and it's been one of my main guitars. Great tone and response.
Did you purchase this on eBay? Did you have any setup problems (i.e. uneven frets, low quality Steinberger bridge clone. ect.)? I''m looking at getting this or a used Steinberger Spirit (in fair condition).
