Never was a Cloud/Tifa fan. Somewhat of a Cloud/Aerith fan, but not much of that either. I think it's because I have an issue connecting with the way they write these characters' interaction time together. Sometimes it looks so platonic and simply based on juxtaposition-personalities that I just don't see romantic evidence. Especially in the movie. But this video put the pieces together~.
"Cloud and Tifa come to realize their mutual feelings for each other and live together at the end of the story". - FFVII Anniversary Ultimania. (An official guide book to the FFVII compilation).
Barret and Marlene ALSO live with them as well =p and then Cloud leaves them (including her) to live in Aerith's church. Hope that clears it up for you XD
@MissNothingness Lol. Let's not start this LTD crap on a GMV. If you want a debate I'm game but for the record: Barrett leaves them and declares THEM a family himself, he is not included and does not live them him after his leaving in the middle of Case of Tifa.
I'm not starting anything haha and that still doesn't mean anything, they had plenty of time to start something during that time but didn't. And even if he did love her, he sure treats her like crap.
@raquelborn Somehow I don't think "them being a family" registers Tifa and Cloud as "husband and wife." Because of how the movie presented it, their roles felt more like supportive role models for the children and towards each other, they were aromantic. They were a family "by the circumstance and living situation." That doesn't equate to "being involved romantically," and Final Fantasy storylines don't beat around the bush when it comes to that.
@raquelborn "The Case of Tifa" made that one obvious when Aerith confirmed her humored jealousy. This movie, however, had no romantic substance or development whatsoever between anyone for me [including Cloud and Aerith] to convince me "Cloud and Tifa" hooked up at the end of the story until "Case of Tifa" established it. But that was just the case of bad writing and Cloud's somber personality taking up 90% of the storyline. @_@;
Aerith is zack's girlfriend DOOFASS ..
