This video was forwarded to me as an example of "proof" of Gods existance by a friend who happens to pastor. Common sense told me it was an urban legend, so I investigated, as I tend do do with all outrageous claims.

You must reason that if you acknowledge Heaven as a place where "good people" go, then maybe it is is a real place?....No one person is good all the time, we can't be, we all sin in some way everyday......some small sins, some bigger ones. Of course a god must exist... The presence of science does not prove the absence of God it simply reveals the intelligent design he has created. Our universe got created by The Big Bang, but how can matter become created, from supposedly nothing that was there in the first place? My point is kinda made because as a Christian you just assumed that since I stuck up for not judging atheists, or any other religion, you assumed I was one. All I'm saying is, no one should downgrade anyone else for not believing what they do. As Christians we believe that there is one Way to heaven. But in Matthew 7:1, it says we should not judge anyone, Christian or not. We as Christians believe God made it a choice to believe.

You can only preach to someone so much. They have to take it from there and make the choices to believe or not. But a good way to get to God is Find a verse in the Bible that really sticks to you, then read it a couple times and Then sit in silence, no texting etc., and listen. You might hear God the first time or not. But Most Deffinetly do not give up.

To all; Does it matter whether this is a true story? No. I just feel that what truly matters in this story was how that young man stood up for his faith despite his fears. He knew what standing up would bring him: being publicly humiliated and probably even getting ostracized by his class. But nevertheless, this guy stood up, defended his Lord and even brought a revival. Really, you just gotta respect that. A true activist for Christ.

I really do feel sorry for this professor guy, but I think that shit just happens. @HylianSpirit I suppose that makes sense. The Bible is much more integrated than the holy books of other religions. Other Christians may call me a hypocrite, but I believe that even though the Bible does supply answers to those questions, it doesn't mean they aren't still open for debate. I can honestly say that I am quite open when it comes to differing religious viewpoints;I can find many strong points and truths in other religions as well as my own. I simply wish to understand other opinions.

Our universe got created by The Big Bang, but how can matter become created, from supposedly nothing that was there in the first place? You can only preach to someone so much. They have to take it from there and make the choices to believe or not. It's a choice to believe whatever you want. In our country we are given the right to have faith whatever religion we want to, or to have faith in no religion at all. There is no way to prove or disprove God, there is no way to prove or disprove evolution, the big bang theory, or anything else you can throw out there, all of them require you to have some faith and just believe. @beccaboo837 ask him to give you understanding,to open your eyes and ears,and to soften your heart.read the bible and meditate on what it has to say.i would read the four gospels first.ask Jesus to come into your heart, and to give you guidance.its important to repent of your sins,but if you dont feel bad for them it wont do you any good, so first ask God to convict you of them.when you realize that you are a sinner and need a savior then ask God to forgive you. then you will get the holy spirit

@beccaboo837 once you get the holy spirit you will get victory over sin,and will be able to reject temptation when it appears.if you are truly repentant you will bawl your eyes out,pray for a long time,hours if it is necessary. after that you will feel God in your life all the time. its amazing, you will become a new creation, the old things will pass away,and all things will become new.you will have a genuine love for everyone,and you will slowly but surely if not immediately produce good fruit

@beccaboo837 if you dont know what good fruit means, it is the fruits of the spirit, like patients, faithfulness, kindness etc. all virtues basically. so to recap, just rely on God, and trust in him, read the bible to know who God is, and what he wants. then pray, and i mean pray. if you really want to get in touch with God, be sincere about it, and just talk to him. i hope this helped. ill be praying for you.

@beccaboo837 To get in touch with God takes time. You can't expect it the first time you sit and listen. But a good way to get to God is Find a verse in the Bible that really sticks to you, then read it a couple times and Then sit in silence, no texting etc., and listen. You might hear God the first time or not. But Most Deffinetly do not give up.

To all; Does it matter whether this is a true story? No. I just feel that what truly matters in this story was how that young man stood up for his faith despite his fears. He knew what standing up would bring him: being publicly humiliated and probably even getting ostracized by his class. But nevertheless, this guy stood up, defended his Lord and even brought a revival. Really, you just gotta respect that. A true activist for Christ.

@KingOfDarkness1996 I dont care if it's fake or not, the idea of it is the same as all those fairytailes we read as kids and it encourages you to stand up for what you believe however difficult it may be. How can you not find that encouraging? It teaches you to stand up in a room full of people and be yourself however much you may be ridiculed for that and thats a great thing, the authenticity of this story is second to that.

Sometimes going against what is popular is the best thing to do, does'nt it say in the bible in Mathew 7:13,14 Go in through the narrow gate because broad and spacious is the road leading off in to destruction and many are the ones going in through it, wheras narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading in to life and few are the ones finding it.

My parents told me from a young age that nobody knows if there is or isn't a God, why we are here, or where we are or aren't going when we die. They said be a good person. Practice humility and love. Never intentionally hurt anyone or anything, but if you do try to make it right. Try your best not to harm the environment so future generations can enjoy it. I live by those rules and I don't deny or accept any of the thousands of religions. According to the Bible, I'm going to Hell. Why?

@yardayar I don't think you are..I think that some people take the words in the book much too seriously...if they believe as I do: that God is an almighty and all-powerful being, why should He have to stick to some code that was written down a couple hundred years ago? God is the judge of who goes where...we have no right to put our foot in it. My opinion is that if you are a good person, you are going to heaven, regardless of your religion.:)

Shame on everyone who tries to scare someone into believing something...and shame on whoever made up this absurd story on here, lying is wrong any way you slice it. Every religion claims to be the one and only way to salvation. Well either one or none of them are right, so I'll just do what I think is right until I see proof. Peace:)

I really do feel sorry for this professor guy, but I think that shit just happens. The chalk didn't roll down and land in one piece because god intervened, It just rolled down and landed in one piece. It's just so extremely unfortunate for the professor trying to prove his point, but shit just happens unfortunately.

looking at all of these comments on how the story is a 'fake' and how we're all idiots for believing in the bible..I've come to realize how many people are so insecure in their atheism that they have to prove it to themselves time and time again. They simply don't understand what we have, and the gravity of what we believe in. I make it a point not to persecute atheists, but they cannot stop attacking me. That means I'm doing my job, I'm making them think.

I love this story. To all this people who are saying this is fake and we just want to keep our faith strong, well here's what I think: It doesn't matter whether it's true or not. You're just missing the point! The point is that you shouldn't be afraid to stand up for God. Do not live by what others think or what others might do. God will stand by you when you will stand for Him. And I don't care whether this is true or not. All I care about is the meaning of this story.

@rosalind0742 It has it's theological talons in the neck of society, affecting the lives of religious and non-religious people alike. It alters the way people look at other people, and it creates answers for questions that should be seriously introspected on (from morality to life and death itself)
I don't bother other religions (E.G. Scientology, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc) because, frankly, they don't affect my life so unwillingly as The Bible.

@HylianSpirit I suppose that makes sense. The Bible is much more integrated than the holy books of other religions. Other Christians may call me a hypocrite, but I believe that even though the Bible does supply answers to those questions, it doesn't mean they aren't still open for debate. I can honestly say that I am quite open when it comes to differing religious viewpoints;I can find many strong points and truths in other religions as well as my own. I simply wish to understand other opinions.
