  • Jack looks like Billie Joe Armstrong in this clip!

  • Looking at the uploader's comment, I miss the old Youtube. However, this new Youtube gives more people job opportunities so I still love it.

  • thank you for posting this…if you ever come across early Screwdriver/When i hear my name please post it.

  • @TheOrderoftheOwl. Yes, a bit disappointing. But TWS remains my favorite band of all time.

  • I'm a White Stripes fan and I am here to report that they SOLD OUT!!!! Captain Morgans commercial, Ball & Biscuit..... How do you like that money Jack?

  • @TheOrderoftheOwl They aren't together anymore, though.

So they can't really sell out.

  • @TheOrderoftheOwl but now where near as bad as the black keys, or whatever band they have turned into

  • @TheOrderoftheOwl "Selling out" is the compromising of (or the perception of compromising) integrity, morality, or principles in exchange for money or "success" - Wikipedia. How could they sell out if they never really had any morals or principles that they were trying to spread? Yes, some songs like The Big Three Killed My Baby show that they are trying to spread some morals and principles but they have never been all about spreading their ideas. Learn what selling out is before you say anythin

  • @111cogjix111 Regardless of morals or integrity when an artist gives permission to a company (i.e. Captain Morgan's Rum) to use their songs in a commercial that artist, in effect, sells out. Period and end of report. Licensing songs to commercials is probably the most wide spread form of selling out an artist can partake in.

  • @TheOrderoftheOwl That is not the definition of selling out. You wouldn't say a pop artist like.... lets say Justin Bieber, sells out if he allows a company to use his song in a commercial in exchange for money, but you would say the remainder of the Dead Kennedys sold out when they let Levis use their song Holiday in Cambodia. The former did not have any morals that he gave up for money where the latter did.

  • I didn't know danelectro put out a double neck. I thought it was a teisco for a second

  • THE TOTAL BAD-ASS-NESS OF IT ALL! Well of The White Stripes/ Jack White in general but the guitar is quite awesome. ^^

  • @jay1888 i know it has been ages since you posted this - but is there any possibility of putting up more? It would be for the good of all... and we all appreciate you taking the time. Seriously - what is the time and place of this show? I read thru the comments - as painful as that is - and did not see this info. Perhaps I missed it somewhere? Thanks again.

  • @yoch3

I've lost the show man, I used to use Veoh but once they cancled their service they curpted all my files, I'm really sorry I can't rememebr where I got it from either, I think it was the now defunct Divx video hosting site. It was filmed in Detroit in what I think is the Gold Dollar in 2002. However I really can't rememebr man sorry again.

  • @jay1888 Thats a shame! Thanks for this part anyway :)

  • I love double neck guitars they look funny.

  • this is to d00derson only.first of all,you cant take people that skate seriously about music?but you think you know about skateboarding culture, and expect us to take YOU seriously? it was cool back when it was unpopular and endorsement free, haha.tony alvas carrer ate shit because of endoresements dumbass. do you also believe the stripes are douchebags because of their popularity?wow, you8 really need to stay out of good music

  • Hey isn't that his brother Eddie's guitar?

  • that's one fine danelectro.

  • fuck, he doesnt play the sexy solo.

  • He has very Elvis Presley hair in this. I prefer his newer looks, but hey it works. also very KICK ASS guitar!

  • jacks voice makes my heart impload.

    but in a good way.

  • i think that's the axe his brother uses in the band Tin Knocker. check them out, they're amazing.

  • Groovy version of Astro...makes ya just wanna move!!!

  • you should post the rest of the show. where did you get it by the way?

  • Hey Jack...give Eddie his guitar back!!!!

  • Meg and Jack Have been together for a very long time and all that meg has done is play the drums exactly how Jack wants her to so ya... give the woman a break

Think this is the first video iv seen with Jacks hair that short

  • Meg has actually been palying the drums longer than Jack has been playing guitar The White Stripes self titled album was made only 1 year after Jack started palying guitar

  • Everything I've read says Jack taught Meg the drums (since he played drums before guitar). Also, most stuff I've seen puts him first starting guitar around junior high. Where are you getting your information? If anything, Meg was only playing drums for about a year before the album, but Jack had been playing for quite a while--and had been in multiple other Detroit bands.

  • Yes, Jack played drums in bands such a Goober and the peas but he didnt start playing guitar until a year befroe the album the guitar riffs and solos are easy and simple and i got teh info from my friend who is a stripes fanatic who knows every detail about the band

  • Your friend is a bit mis-informed. They were playing in bars and whatnot for over a year before the first album. Jack didn't pick up the guitar and just 'instinctively know how to play it.' He had a been at it for a while, and he had been playing guitar in other (yes, as well as drums) Detroit bands, too.

  • Yeah, you're right. He'd been playing for a little while. He learned from being self taught and his bro's taught him a little. Also heard in an interview he had one of those famous chord posters on his wall.

  • you should pick up their biography, it has every detail of the band up to elephant. he was in the band two star tabernacle as a guitarist and then the go! before the white stripes.

  • i didn't even know that they had one i will for sure check that out

  • its called fell in love with a band

  • jack learned guitar at 12 he said it himself i think he knows when he learnt guitar

  • Your retarded, and very, very wrong.

  • and your a cunt

  • As long as you know that you are wrong, and retarded. You have a very serious case of mental retardation (Borat's Voice).

  • and as long as you know you like sggy old men butthole i was just saying what my friend told me

  • Do some research next time, you jackass.

  • i bet that you didn't even know that i bet that you jsut read the other comments and agreed with them i know that i was wrong i wasnt sating what i knew though so fuck you fagget

  • I'm the biggest White Stripes/Jack White fan that there is. I know everything about them, just know that your a dumb cunt.

  • No your not i bet you can't name 22 other bands that he is in and the band he made a cd wiht you stupid fuckin cunt get a life prick and befroe you say i dont i only go on the internet at night becuase i skate all day bitch

  • 22 other bands? you got me there I can't name 22 other bands that he was/is in....because he's only been in 6. Why don't you go to school instead of skating you dumb bitch.

  • i meant to type two you cunt but its summer break and i do go to school and do very well stupid cunt and skating is fun you are proably fat and have no life go eat some doritos you queer

  • i do live in the real world get a life you homo

  • well hey there buddy, i think you need to chill with the retardation, he didnt say anything to you and there is no need for you to start an arguement

if its that time of the month well take your pissy bullshit somewhere else so everyone can just chill

  • woah, now come on buddy, take a chill pill, relax, chill, chillax, calm the fuck down.

i dont see a need to calm me a bitch, but im just telling you to take your pissy bullshit, somewhere else, we dont need you disgracing a white stripes video.

  • well i dont i want to shove it up my ass, that would be rather uncomftorable and unpleasant. But seriously, take these horrible insults somewhere else and take your bullshit somewhere else.

  • the upholsterers/two part resin, goober and the peas, the go... i dunno maybe more... lol sry i am a mart sass

  • its cool yo atleast you know your stuff

  • I can't really take kids that skate seriously as far as music goes. Skating used to be cool, back when it was still unpopular with Tony Alva and whatnot, but know it's formed this douchey culture that's more about the clothing companies and endorsements than the actual skating. The only famous (relatively) musician I can think of that skates is Larry Lalonde from Primus. Any who, i argree with 54321FUCKYOU. This dumbass kid needs to stay out of good music.

  • I know i'm going to get any were with skating i jsut do it for fun douchebag and actually most skaters aren't douchey at all and fuck you prick your proably some old fat guy with no life

  • Wow, either the anger has adversely affected your ability to form a coherent sentence, or you are just as foolish as everybody thinks. And as for the fat guy thing, that's not a very accurate depiction of myself, even though you won't believe any thing else because you actually thought that was a good insult. You whinny 12 year old kids really do need to stay out of music, because you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. There will be no further remarks on your behalf, goodbye.

  • I am actually a bit older than 12 just so you know and its not my fault that you have to think that you are cool thinking you can try to get my self esteem down i bet that you feel real cool proving a 15 year old wrong and i admited that i was wrong i put the wrong information by accident so please stop being such a d-bag

  • Come on man, stop being an asshole.

I skate and i like some badass music.

What type of physical activity you partake in has nothing to do with music. I don't know if you thought these insults to lifeliver out completely. And i don't see how skating was cool when it was unpopular, because if that goes for skating, it goes for football, basketball, soccer, etc.

But seriously, you sound like another retard on yotube, So Mr d00derson, i kindly ask you, to shut the fuck up.

  • all of you ppl just need a big ol' reefer sammich and chill the fuck out... plz...

  • your chiming in on a four month old argument

  • jackass.

  • who? me? in that case, hi, i'm johnny knoxville and welcome to jackass.

  • Jesus christ you post a kick ass video that you come across and you get all these borderline retarded arguments. God I hate youtube they should get rid of the coments.

Just to sumise, Jack was 16 when he learned the guitar, after he learned teh drums (whish I tinkw as when he was 12, you probably got muddled :)

Saying your the "biggest white stripes fan" makes you sound like a dickhead semi-stalker,

I cba to post the whole show I'm lazy as fuck, pm me maybe and we'll sort something out. X

  • you didn't

  • When was this from? '01? '00? earlier?

  • this is probably between 97 and 00.

  • way cool! when white stripes were just an underground garage band

  • that was beyond cool.

  • wow is this old or what

  • it is a double neck danelectro 59dc... if someone can be more precise or correct me, i'd like to know. cheers

  • The Danelectro 59-DC is the single neck model. I've only heard the kind Jack is playing a "Danelectro 6/12".

  • Its not a twelve string its a baritone guitar, I own the 6/12 its harder to find the baritone

  • weltklasse :D - rocks!

  • yeah it was. his bro uses it now.

    B

  • Wow! That is awesome. That must be quite a rarity for Jack to use something other than his Airline, Kay or Crestwood. Cool find, thanks for sharing.

  • Jack didnt have the Airline at the time of this video

  • Yes he did I have the whole show and he plays it for most of it.

  • Woah, look at Jack!!!! That's something I've never seen him do before!!

  • this is insane! I never thought I'd see him use one of those.
