Gta 4 is a fun game, but the technology is just disappointing. The pc version has bugs, graphical flaws, terrible performance (even on high end pcs), horrible graphics engine. This is just my opinion, so dont flame me.

No his opinion is absolutely right. Because the PC Version was onlay converted from the Xbox version, because the systems are alike. For example I`ve a 4x3.2 GHz processor, 2x geforce 8800GTX 768MB and 8GB RAM... but the game is still running shitty on a PC. I had rather waited a bit more until the programmers had FINISHED the game :-( sad for the PC gamers.

Here is an example so you can see how poorly optimized gta 4's graphics engine is on the pc. Look at the graphics, and the framerate you get on max settings. Compare that to crysis (which also is kind of poorly optimized, but far from gta 4). Crysis has double the graphics AND framerate. Im just saying the pc version isnt optimized well, EVEN after the latest patches.

I had a small go on this game, about 2 hours and i was completely amazed by it. Incredibly realistic and amazing detail. I sumhow felt tho that it had lost sumthing like from san andreas and others, the kind of insanely funny oddness which can be had from certain glitches. Oh well i long too get a Ps3 now so i can play all way through and then make a better judgement.

Ok a few mistakes in what you said.. The video your showing is of Endorphin, not Euphoria ( its also the free learning edition ) Euphoria is the "sister" program to Endorphin. oh and Euphoria isn't a new physics engine, its been around for a while, just not that many developers actually use it in games. BTW did you make those endorphine moves, because there really not up to game standards, so i doubt there the official ones from GTA4 ( or even samplers for that matter )

that graphics engine is called endorphin not euphoria. euphoria doesnt create scenes, its gives characters a nervous system etc. so that they can react to different situations. eg if you got hit by a car you wouldnt go instantly into ragdoll, you will flap your arms and kick your legs to stop yourself from landing on your head and put your hands out to cushion your fall. the one in this video is endorphin, its used to create animations to import into games and films.
