  • Keep blasting it out dude! 90% of anyone making a negative comment about your lift probably cant even lift the same weight...People that really lift wont even comment in a negative fashion. Just like a real martial artist never walk around saying "Hey I know karate" You find out later when you are looking up at the sky and some of your spine is protruding through your ass!

  • You need to lower the dumbells. They are going half way down most of the time, you occasionally go 3/4 of the way down. You will get a much better work out if you let the dumbells go low enough to touch your chest.

  • @GengarTR If the dumbbell touches his chest, the dumbbell will move, and that will cause him to lose control of the dummbell and lose balance which will in turn result in a posibility of injury. The way he did them was perfect.

  • I'm only doing 50 lbs (I know it's sad) just started lifting seriously a few months ago. I actually started with 25lb's on each arm, which was just ****ing emberassing but I guess we all start differently. Good shit though, hopefully if I continue I'll be there some day.

    Dont really see why thats not a rep. Starting at the bottom is harder because the weights are lower than the point one would stop at if one started at the top. The exertion is at least as much as if they started at the top (which btw is pretty hard to do with DBs).

  • @PistolStar2 Yes but u are not using the energy you would use to go from the top to the bottem by starting at the bottem...A complete rep in this case would be top/bottem/top

    what i know that 10-12 reps gives you strength,8-10 reps is the peak reps of bulking up,above 12 reps are for fat loss :D

  • @omardeif You're way off bro. 6-8 reps is for power lifting aka strength, 12-15 is fore definition. But it's not just that, if you want strength, you have to do full rotation and for definition, you have to isolate the muscle. High weights low reps = strength, high reps medium weight = definition.

  • @omardeif Depends on what you mean by bulk... like a bodybuilder stature, 12-15 w/ 5000-6000 calories a day, or power lifter which is 6-8, but you get a fat fucking belly.

    The figures you got are kind of off.

    Bodybuilding uses different rep ranges usually from 6 reps and up. 6-8 is one option, but one can also use 8-10 or more. Its from about 7 reps that hypertrophy becomes emphasised. 6-8 is actually a pretty good in-betweener for both size and strength.

    Powerlifters train with rep ranges between 1 and 6 usually (1-3 is not uncommon).

    And the "fat belly" is absolutely not mandatory. Thats a choice some powerlifters make.

    No. It just stops you from dropping the weight and causing any irritation on your hands.

    Gymnasts use it for rope work too.

  • @Lebron23KING23James Basically the same thing. Graduating Senior year of college was my priority. The DBs in my current gym only go up to 100. I'm focusing more on my BB work now because DBs sometimes stress out my shoulders. Either way, switching between DB and BB is a great thing to do in any routine.

  • @YoCard Dude DB cannot stress your shoulder. The advantage of DB is that you can adjust to a more comfortable position unlike  BB. I dont understand how it can stress your shoulder. You are just not adjusting and repeat the same mistake.

  • the last one doesn't count cause you you must do it properly. you can ask someone to give you the bumbells whille you are lied down on the bench and then with your hands fully extended go down and then up. that is one rep.

  • I benched an adjustable dumbbell which was a total of 107 pounds, which is a 25, two 10's, a 5 and a one-pound weight lock collar on each side, and a 5 pound bar, for 16 reps each arm. I'm pretty big though. For a guy your size, that's not too bad! Great work after an injury.

  • He doesnt weigh more then 155 its cuz almost every fuckin guy lies about their weight. Im 5ft 10 at 160 and im not small. i have legit 15.5in arms 43in chest with a 29in waist thats not that small at all. most people are just full of shit
