I really need help. Vegas Pro 10 used to work perfectly for me but I had to reinstall Windows and now I'm getting so many different problems. This is my main problem: the original video: /watch?v=Y7DGn7GfvO4 , Camtastia Studio 7 render: /watch?v=ReCz5FKqazU and Vegas Pro 10 render: /watch?v=6wd5kAVSl-0 . In both renders I used the suggested settings and formats in this very tutorial.

Please, help. I hate using Camtastia Studio 7. :/

@EWOKakaDOOM you can't record with any hd capture card in 1080p the best you can get is 720p. the only way to get it to 1080p is to boost it up with sony vegas or another HD editing software. :)

Steve, first of all awesome video helped me a lot. I have a problem, I used all of those settings that you suggested in the video. But when I import a video that I recorded from my HD PVR Vegas crops it. I've tried re-installing Vegas and recording in both M2TS and MP4 and i can't get it to work. Can somebody please help me!? For some reason your render settings causes WVP to crash like half way through every video I render. Like is completely fine and really good quality with smooth FPS and then it just crashes and says something like "Windows Video Player has stopped working." How do I fix this? Don't reply with something like "IT'S BECAUSE YOUR PC IS SHIT LOL" because I built my PC and it's very good and can render videos in minutes.

If you right click a youtube video and click show video info you'll see the max frame rate YouTube does is 30 FPS. So 60 FPS doesn't do anything.

Steve I have a problem, I recently got my hd pvr and I did everything you did in this video, and in the preview screen of sony vegas, it all looks really good. But then when I start rendering I get all kinds of weird lagg spikes in my video, the audio is good, just the video is messed up and like every 5 seconds it kinda jumps, like it skips a few frames.
