First off the kid passed a DUI check point right before this and passed. He somehow blacked out or passed out, I just watched this an hour ago. They were trying to recreate what made the car air born. It was just the kid in the car, no drugs, drinks, and no chase. If you watch around :05-:07 theres a black thing that skids across the road. That's the kid himself. Yeah he did live and still to this day doesn't remember what happened. He remembers a few miles before that and waking up in the hsptl
