when i first watched this video clip, didn't quite get it, why there were some kinda explainations in lines, then i found out, the baby scene, the BABY was made of animation. WOW! imazing! whata skill! it looked so real, i was wondering when i watched the film.

They wanted a newborn with the cord attached. This is not possible in real life. Infants can only be used in film after they are.....I think it's 2 weeks old. The infant would be too large then for this scene since the director was going for complete realism.

Also, this director does LONG TAKES, which means he doesn't cut his film for sometimes up to 10 mins. A real infant may cry or move the wrong way and destory the take. Especially since many of his scenes have times explosions. Watch the movie again and note how he does those takes with the infant in them. Not possible with a real child. It's all very brilliant to me.

Huh? The placenta is quite long! It's made that way so that baby can reach the breast to breastfeed right after birth. The stimulation of the baby sucking the breast then calms the contractions of the womb and the sac comes out much easier.

In the many discussions I've had about this film I've found that people in a position to be on the negative side of this films message to be among it's biggest detractors. (i.e. people with extremly right wing views about immigration, or other non-humanist viewpoints)
