  • No worries, I look at that video and think it was SO long ago, as she is now almost 16 months old and I am due with our next baby in May. I am glad my video has helped.

  • My name's marianna too xD

  • HI,

Happy New Year, the videos have stopped, just want to make sure everything is OK with ou and your family.

    love to all

  • Happy new year to you too. I have been back home in Melbourne the last few weeks and haven't had time to make a video, I should be making a 9 week video next week.

  • Hi Grace, Little Lacey is soooo gorgeous, your such a great mum, your doing a fantastic job with her, your also very lucky to have such a supportive husband....Good Onya Simon. Wish you both all the best, love watching Grace Diaries. Merry Christmas to you all. x

  • Thanks, you have a Merry Christmas too.

  • Thanks

  • for the reflux thing theres this pillow you can buy where you strap the baby onto it and it tilts them upright, you put it in their cot and it works really well, well it did for my friend her son stopped screaming almost straight away, also saves your arms from having to hold her upright all the time =)

  • I've never seen them, can you get them in Australia?

  • hey grace! nice to c another video... im glad u put these up.. how do u find the time?! as mehru is growing i hardly have time to even log on anymore!! anyway... i see uve swaddled her... doesnt she kick n scream when u do that?! anyway laceys adorable in all the pictures .... take care of urself.....byee :))

  • Same, I hardly get a chance to get on the net. She does cry and try and fight out of it when I first swaddle her but after 30 seconds she is relaxed.

  • also with regards to sleep, raise the top end of her cot up. Put it on a couple of blocks, if its reflux this should help. Also helps for when she has her first cold :( During the day, watch for the tired signs (jerky movements and flayling arms), she can only manage to be awake for a max of 1-2 hours at a time at the moment. When times up, stick to the same sleeptime routine, wrap, dummy, kiss etc.

    Again...you're doing a fantastic job!!

  • Thanks, I have put a bit of a bed routine in place, wrap, dummy (sometimes), kiss and it has been (most of the time) working.

  • wonderful videos Grace. Lacey is beautiful. You are doing a great job, she's thriving! Both my babies (boys 35 months and 8 months) needed to be burped after a feed. Sometimes it took a while, but they both needed to, otherwise they wouldnt settle. Having a little vomit after each feed is really normal. My youngest still does it not every feed but at least once or twice a day. Sitting her upright to get her to burp could be the way to go. I offer both sides each feed with a burp inbetween.

  • Great thanks, yeh sometimes I have to burp her for a long time before she does.

  • Oh my goodness!!! she's gorgeous..... hows her sleeping patterns???

  • She sleeps well at night only waking around 3am for a feed and then early in the morning, during the day its a different story, she sometimes only sleeps probably about 1.5 hours the whole day and then on other days she sleeps 4-5 hours.

  • love this video. i love the pictures of her and dad, they look so much alike. are her eyes blue or gray? so pretty daughter. my sister just went to her doctor she is not pregnant with twins :(. we all thought she was because she is 9 weeks and already showing. i dont know if you remember i told you that she been sick since she got pregnant well doctor told her that she was going remain sick all 9 months. she cried cause she been coughing for two months. update soon.

  • Thanks, her eyes are a very bright blue at the moment.

  • IF you have a yoga ball try this. Swaddle her in a recieving blanket and hold her, sit on the yoga ball and bounce up and down on your butt. This helps babies calm down and also its easier for you then to be walking around bouncing her. I hope it helps!

  • We never used medicines for it though as we aren't a fan of them. We had to keep her upright for a MINIMUM of 20 minutes after she nursed as well to prevent the reflux and spend at least 10 minutes burping her (or longer if she hadn't burped by then) I had to wear breast pads 24/7 until she was 6 months, totally normal! 9:01 was PRICELESS, that is the best pic of her by far (so far) the tongue/grin and all. SOOOOO CUTE!

  • I replied to all of these comments and I came on today and none of my replies are on...grrr. I am not into medicines either for myself and for Lacey, I have been doing stuff like that, keeping her upright etc. I love that photo too, I was standing there for ages trying to wait for the perfect moment :D

  • Jacelyn woke up a bunch like that too, but it was b/c she would sleep so long and be too hungry, so we had to make sure she nursed every 3 hours regardless of the time even at night. We had to try to nurse Jace upright b/c of the relux, it was MUCH better by week 8, but it took a while... and wasn't gone till she was almost 3 months.

  • Hi Grace Luv,

I'm luving ur vids! Theyre awesome darlz. I started backtracking & have now watched all of them. Hubby & I are hoping to start a family soon & watching u go through the entire pregnancy has been really amazing & eye opening. I think Im getting clucky hehe. Lacey is precious! Congrats to you both. Were from Perth- it's great to an Aussie make a pregnancy diary & your such a natural genuine person I love your honesty and willingness to speak about so many aspects of your life. xx

  • Hey Grace, Ive been having problems with my Jamiera too. She has acid reflux and they prescribed something called axid. She also has gas which Ive been giving her Mylicon. Shes getting so big! So adorable.

  • Also have u thought about swaddling her when u put her to sleep? I know its probly really hot now tho but she could be waking herself up by startling and then cant sleep coz shes overtired? Just an idea... it may just be a phase... but ur doing awesome as a mum and ur little fam is beautiful!

  • Hey Grace your lookin fab! and Lacy is cuter than ever!! Sorry to hear bout her reflux, did the doc give u anything for it? My son had reflux aswell we gave him gripe water and it seemed to help. also my son spewed up heaps after feeds and i thought that was from reflux but i think it was just that he was feeding too much for his lil tummy to handle! coz now hes 3 and still LOVES his food and would eat all day if i let him haha!

  • Looks like Lacey and my lil man have the same belly pain. I think its gas. We go to the doctors on Fri. It kills me when it looks like he is pain. Hopefully they give him something for it! She is a perfect split of you and Simon. You guys did a great job!!!!!

  • She is a lovely baby and you are a great mum. The videos are great to see and you look like a wonderful family. congratulations again.

  • She looks just like her dad.

  • she is one of the prettyest babys ive ever seen, thats sad about the acid reflux, my best friends baby had that when he was born and she had to put him on a milk and cereal diet to help it, ask your doctor about that if he didint already give you somthing for it.

  • shes even cuter and she growing so much how exciting ...

  • Hi, Yes, I get let downs too and have to wear breast pads all the time. Marianna spits up a lot and have tummy aches too. Dr. said I have to watch my diet cause it can affect her. Lacey is just beautiful and you look like you snapped into shape.

Gotta love the picture with her tongue out, Lol!

    XOXO

    Vivian and Marianna

  • i can't believe how big she's getting! she's adorable, i love her little hiccups haha. i hope her reflux gets better, bless her heart!

  • Hi Grace!

It's been a while! It seems that the same thing is happening with Anthony. He feeds then spews up during a burp and is constantly wanting to be held. I'm trying to break the habit of picking him up when he cries but it breaks my heart to hear him like that so I do to comfort him. What else can we do?! Oh, got to go...he's calling me. Glad to see another post.

    Mary (Anthony 6wks + 5 days)

  • Hi Grace just a thought my third wouldnt sleep during the day would drift off then startle all the time so I started sleeping him on his tummy during the day, and it worked like a charm. He felt more secure that way and would snore for hours! Now hes a bit older he sleeps on his tummy at night as well as he just wouldnt sleep on his back, my other two did but not him. My daughter had reflux to but I have no advice for that other than wait out the phase unfortunately. Shes beautiful =D

  • she is beautiful

  • She's gorgeous Grace! She looks so much like you at 8:50. How are the cloth nappies going?

  • So is still as cute as ever and does she ever look like daddy, but she does have your eyes.

  • Lacey is so cute!!!
