  • Zakirji is a great tabla player but if u listen to any recording of his you will find he has played the same compositions everywhere. But if u listen to Anindoji's tabla u will find that something new is being played. Both are great artists but i think Anindoji is very versatile and his playing is most effortless.

  • Pure Genius!

  • every artist presents his art individually and so is every art unique in its own way. comparing artists to each other is just nonsense. cos everyone shows his art on his own way with his own feelings. its good to try to understad the art itself.

  • Damn. Zakir Hussain is great -- consistent and smart. But the unpredictable aspect of Chatterjee's style is very intoxicating.

  • @zznarcolepsy For sure!!

  • Kyaa baat!

  • Very lyrical, great dhere dhere!

  • amazing dhira dhira!

  • his dhere dhere very clear

  • In speed there is no comparison to Tafu khan..

he is unique and his style is totally different from the rest of the world

  • Yes Ustad Tafu Khan is brilliant - there is You Tube video of him saying in Hindi "This series of Bols took me 50 years to Clean Up perfectly"

I think Ustad Zakir Hussein is the most versatile though

Pandit Chatterjee is amazing as well of course, very pure

  • @anandvyasorg I am also quite fond of Ustad Tari Khan Saheb. He is very enjoyable to listen to.

  • @KumarTabla ~ Ustad Tari Khan is a delight. So much fun ~

  • Tabla is not only about speed, there is a highly intellectual element, which some fail to apreciate.

  • @ShastriyaSangeet

    Well Said !

  • AMAZING!!!!!

  • amazing tabla...beautiful sarengi...thnx past 594 for posting..

    sourabh

  • Excellent!! Really great tihai at the end!

  • Wow! The kherwa improvisations were amazing!!!

  • wah wah !!

  • You bunch of retardsssssss, It says RAMESH MISHRA not sultan khan MORON.

    XD

  • Who is faster Pandit anindo chaterjee or

    Ustad Tafo Khan ??

because Khan sahib is master of the 10 finger style ??

  • i think sometimes wiliey e coyote is faster

  • Yeah but when tafo khan is playing half the audience has no clue what he is playing. See each composition has a maximum speed and when that speed is passed then the piece becomes non musical

  • @SSGKashmirSoldier chutiyapa ki sawal kar rahe ho sale ?

  • OMG! He is amazing!!! I wish I had his chops! Can I take lessons? I am broke, though. OMG!

  • I love this man

  • YOOO this is sick .....

wats the raag that the person on the violin is playing???

it is one of the most nicest raags i've ever heard

  • @Rockyd66 raga patdeep is the rag. maybe a mishra version of the raag as he uses rishabh on the arohi.

  • Beautiful!!!. and can any one tell me what raag the violin player is playing? It's so sad and beautiful.. it's not kirwani, is it?

  • it's a sarangi player! probably sultan khan, not really sure what raga is though..

  • @alejodoors It is Pandit Ramesh Mishra.

  • anindo is the best, when he was a kid training, he said he was frustrated with DHERE DHERE, now look.

  • Wow that is a great version of teen taal never heard it before! He is great!

  • i just went to one of his tour concerts in orlando florida(april 19, 2008). let me tell you. he is amazing snd so is his son. when you watch the youtube clips, it does not really give you the sense of how good he really is. he was playing stuff I never seen on his youtube videos before and with such clarity. Him and his son did a great solo together. they also played their fixed compositions which was really cool. Anindo chatterjee is indeed one of the most underrated tabla players we have.

  • @gt1111 Pandit ji isn't underrated. If you really want a list of tabla players (top level artists) who are"underrated"... do ask.

  • @gt1111 I don't see how being widely considered to be in the "top 10" tabla players is being underrated.

  • budhwaterloo, you are wrong, he did not mess up anything! There is NOTHING he did wrong in this comp. He wouldn't be THE master if he did.

  • Yes, indeed, nothing was wrong. A very beautiful chakardar at the end. very complicated but very beautiful.

  • Anindo is a true master!

  • very clear playing, ..i like

  • amazing speed...

the tihai came so fast! wow!

  • he is the only tabla maestro compare to other emiment atiste, he is one of the best tabla artiste in this world.

  • I don't know the intricacies of tabla but it was quite soothing and relexing.

  • I have been hearing him(LIVE) since the last 12 years. He is the cleanest tabla players of all time.

  • its very clean idk what ur talken about

  • @budhwaterloo can you play a tabla like this? It's a very difficult composition which very very few or none tabla players dare to play and he has done it very effortlessly. He playes these compositions so that we get benefited and very few players try these things. Try appreciating all the beautiful things around you.

  • my god!his bols are so damn clear...

  • Anindo da is absolutely fantastic. Very few people make the tabla sound as sweet and lyrical he does.

  • pandit anindo chatterjee !!!!

  • superb - listen to the Sarangi - doesn't get any more lilting than Pt Rameshi Ji
