  • this treatment of people, yes prisoners are people too, is unacceptable.it horrifies me that this goes on behind closed doors in supposedly civilised countries.thank god these people out there willing to stand up&speak out against it but tragic these families who've lost loved ones.but oh god help those who do survive it,if they had mental health issues when they went in,what state of mind are they leaving in.

  • My brother just got released from Chuckawala Prison. He would tell me all the horrible things that would go on there before the reform happened. He said it was the worst experience ever. He kept telling me he was afraid he was next. and we felt helpless. I believe that if you commit a crime you should pay for the crime. But how inhumane can a human be on another human?

  • If you just watched this vidoe I ask you to please take a moment and comment on this video. Please rate it. People need to know what's going on in their own back yard. These prison tortures are not being carried out in some foreign country, but right here in America. We are suppose to be a civilized country. We must all wake up!

  • I have a great deal of respect for the parents of Joseph Sullivan who, even through their grief and loss have worked so hard to make the people who killed their son accountable for their actions. Hopefully this work will benefit many through the years.

  • There are inmates who need a great deal of mental health help. If they are taking medications and getting counseling, they are INELIGIBLE to be packed off to an out of state facility (you can't make a profit running a prison that has sick people in it). Those who need serious medical care are allowed only enough to stave off more lawsuits. The care is delayed, inadequate, given with little compassion, and the world needs to know it.

  • I don't understand where there aren't 1000 comments on this. If you care at all, please send the link of this video to everyone you know and ask them to rate it and write a comment.

  • In some cases lets think "misty" do you ride side saddle? With blinders on like your horse? Perhaps if you did a little research on this before passing judgement. Your primative opinions mean zero-minus to those of us that have. Lets see out of nearly 900 views, 12 comments. Wake up people, these are your tax dollars being wasted instead of being put to good use. Post your comments & hope that in your life time you or your loved ones aren't incarcerated, tortured, maimed or killed. Surely!

  • In response to ignorant points of view on whats really going on in planet Californias' Prison system. I personally witnessed training tactics by law inforcement & the violent treatment of follow humans by persons given power to abuse it. Through personal conversations with inmates short time to long they devulged situations & things that happened to other inmates & how hard it was for them to save their own lives by keeping quiet after witnessing torture & murder by guard and gang cooperation

  • a person that has borke the law dosent need to be murder but needs to pay for his crime in the old saying if you got the time to do the crime then you have time to pay for the crime.but shouldnt be put in a situation were there is no hope for them to be rehabhilated

  • Dear Mistycowboy, Your ignorance saddens me. But I do understand you. You see I felt just like you. Kill them all, I would say. Until my perfect little world fell apart and someone I adored ended up in prison and was tortured. I will pray for you that you never have to know the pain of being helpless when someone you love is being tortured. And just because someone is in prison does not make torture OK. We all fall short, and none of us is the better. WE are all GOD's children.

  • This is no different from the situation in Germany in the 1930s, when people were worked to death for profit inside the numerous concentration camps. No press, no 'outsiders' were allowed to see what really went on behind the electrical fences. People were told the inmates were treated well and they believed it. People are now told that inmates in California prisons are treated well. Are we really so naive and dumb to fall for the same trick again?! Wake up people!!

  • Apparently the California government has something to hide and/or suppress. No press, no 'outsiders' are allowed to speak to the inmates. All mail, all outgoing phone calls are monitored. What are they so afraid of if life's so wonderful inside those prisons? They're afraid they'll have to stop milking the cash cows, because that's what inmates are in reality. The Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) has a $36 MILLION A QUARTER PROFIT.

    Buy a clue!

  • Forcing the psychotropic drugs on prisoners is a medical lobotomy to shut the prisoners up so they won't be asking for medical care or writing 602's against the prison staff. So the prison staff set up Administrative Judges inside the prison walls to make the decisions to force medicate, These Kangaroo Courts eliminated the requirement of a "Keyhea" action in the Superior Courts. Now the prison staff has full range to do whatever they want to do with no "real" Court oversight.

  • The pathetic misconception about how great inmates have it in prison , is obviously due to lack of any true knowledge of prison. There IS no proper medical care, hence the ruling by the three judge panel. If they had watched the video they would have gleened how an inmate died from a simple toothache. This happens throughout the Cali prison system.Neglect, abuse, mistreatment,is rampant. The alledged"punishment 'is incarceration, not to die becaue CDCR just doesn't give a damn about human life.

  • If free shelter, food, healthcare, and dental care is neglect, abuse, and oppression, PLEASE let me in! Prisoners have committed CRIMES. They deserve PUNISHMENT. They should be made to WORK, made MISERABLE because they knew that they would be if they committed a CRIME. We work our asses off for $8.50 an hour- we deal with taxes, a corrupt government, and the stress of paying for healthcare, shelter and food- yet they get it FREE. If anything, the government needs to be harsher on prisoners!!

  • We DESPARATELY need honest and unemotional corrections reform in this state and should be lead by sentecing reform whcih must begin with activism by the body politic! YOU are just one mistake away from finding yourself behind bars in California....What have we done?

  • Everyone please - Don't forget to rate the video so we can get the word out to the voters about these wrongful deaths.

  • Too many unexplained deaths, too much secrecy and apparently, cover up.
