...will sort of become nothing anyway. i guess my main issue is that, as with the way energy cannot be destroyed, can a somthing become a nothing?
i dont believe in religion, but i kinda believe that your conscienceness will go on, only because it doesn't seemingly have another option, what else could happen to it?
obviously being consciouse myself, thats technically ignorance, of course I can't imagine what else could be, because I haven't experienced what that is.
(i dont really know how far the conversation has gone but i just kinda wanted to say this)
isnt the idea of just a black nothingness after death, technically a somthing? i don't really think nothing can actually exist (and yeah that sounds self explanitory) because we technically (but correct me if i'm wrong) have no proof of nothingness itself, if you get what i mean.
so can you actually even experiance nothingness after death? your consciousness ending in death means your conscousness...
I must say that I respect you for seeking answers and for having your own theory.
Also for being able to voice that theory and everything very well.
The way I see it, the reason God (yes, I'm going to relate this to Christianity) "doesn't" give us proof that he exists (I'm talking God coming down from the sky and saying "YO WHATUP EARTH!") is because Christianity itself requires some measure of Faith.
Now, I will say that God has given humans a good many ways of proof in the past, yet people have written them off as scientific theories or just unexplained phenomenon. That is just what I think.
So to link that in to your video, I think that we cannot know all of the answers because they are too complex for us too know, but also because God has MADE them too complex for us to know.
ur still missing the point, the Universe does whatever it wants. You don't need evidence! I remember past lives I've lived, and my cousin has the same memories as me. I am all about bending the rules of the way of life.
The Universe cannot "want," or desire or long or intend on anything either. It is a collective of inanimate planets, galaxies, etc. It does not have emotions. In terms of the Universe just acting randomly however, well sure. But not to such a degree, no matter how badly we would like it to be.
Okay, now THAT'S comedy! You're telling me to not say I know about the universe... yet this is all you have been doing the whole time. Sorry to break you from your fantasy world, but at least what I've been saying is based on fact... and also. NEVER tell me what I can and cannot do in my own video comment block. Speaking of block...
The Universe doesn't need to show things to make them real. The Universe does anything it fucking wants to. It can make Kelly Clarkson fart rainbows and then laugh at everyone trying to figure out how it happened, just for a laugh.
True, and is that why it can also make us not exist when we die, without showing us... only with us looking and finding out that all consciousness is, is just the observation of memories being imprinted into our synapses?
how can you prove that we DON'T exist? It sounds like you don't believe in the Universe. We are the Universe, and we exist within boundaries, and we have choices to cross them.
What? I never said we don't exist, we most definitely exist, we just won't exist after we die. And yes, I believe in the Universe because I can see it. I must say that I disagree that we actually ARE the Universe, however I do agree that we reside within it. I would figure that to be quite obvious. How do you contend that we have the choice to cross the boundaries, though? I have never read of such an occurrence taking place.
Again... I'm not saying we don't exist, only that one day we will cease to do so (i.e. when we die). Also, you have been avoiding my main question: where is your proof that we have souls? I have plenty of evidence that clearly makes it seem untrue, and I'm not the only one. You don't have to be book smart to realize it's an unlikely possibility that we have souls. I'd like it if we had souls, I'm just saying looking from a neutral standpoint given the evidence, it's looking pretty unlikely.
(firewave099) I do too, haha. I just have many people telling me that science's number one question is what consciousness actually is, and I was like... uh, really? Okay simple... thought on it... and this is the conclusion I came up with, but it really can terrify one if they really think about it... it means we are just highly intelligent organisms. If you already have coped with such a thought then this merely makes the person go, oh, right, nice observation. But for most, it's quite daunting

how dare you, no more commenting about this. Do not say you know about the Universe, as you seem rather ignorant right now.

as long as you think, you exist.
jessemoon2000 2 years ago
And when you die, you cease being able to think, therefore you cease to exist.
ryanward87 2 years ago
What if you die, and still have thoughts? Souls do exist btw.
jessemoon2000 2 years ago
In response to both things you mentioned... where is the proof?

its not something you read. We can exist because we have souls, end of story. Being book smart isn't everything.
