Nice bike. I have a Norton and this use to happen all the time till I rebuilt it in 1999 and put in a inline valve that stops this from happening anymore. My departed brother had one of these. I can sen you a pic or two if you want. Ride safe!
It was only running for a few minutes when the smoke cleared so it must not have been to bad. The bike was sitting for years. Now it sits for months sometimes and is the only one that doesnt wet sump like the others
