@rct3crazy100 Is is possible that you have told windows that you open .ovl files in adobe reader, hence why it shows those kind of files. When you extract the scenery folder, there should be another folder inside of the extracted one, along with two .ovl files.

That error means that the SVD files aren't in the correct place. When you double click a CS folder, inside should be a folder, and two .ovl files.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO GET THERE WITH ONE CLICK! If you have to go through two folders to get to those ovl files then you need to get it down to one folder. Just hold control + c to copy the 1 folder with the folder and ovl files. Some scenery makers put in two folders.

here's what you do.

Find the CS folder, the extracted one, and copy it. Inside should be one folder, and two ovl. files. If its just a file folder inside, then copy it, and not the one further back.

The game will only look through the one folder, and no further, if its not their then it won't work.

So copy it, go to start, computer, then type C:\program files then click atari, then the RCT3 folder, then in that find style, then double click theme. Inside is other scenery. Paste the CS in there

I looked in the folder and there aren't any .svd or .sid files, same with all the other SteelWorx folders on my computer. Keep going deeper into all the files, until you find those SID or SVD files, when you do go back one folder, and put that one into your RCT3 secnery folder. Here is how you will know if its correct or not. Go to the style/themed and click on steelworx once. Inside there should be the sid, svd, and then the actual folder itself, so just get to there, but don't move the SVD or SID files, just delete the folders before it.

Really? Then you wouldn't have any scenery at all. I'd say back up your game files. Its in your documents, in a folder called RCT3, just copy that to your desktop, re-install rct3, then put those files in the same place.

As I have mentioned before, sometimes it shows up under the Walls section, or some other section. If you PM me what scenery it is, I can usually tell you what its under.

Ok, there is a fix for that. Go into C:\program files\atari\rollercoaster tycoon 3\style\themed

then find the scenery that gives you that error. Once you click on the scenery folder, there should be 1 folder, and two files one common.sid or something like that, then uncommon.svd

If there is not any files just one folder, then click the folder, and look for the common and uncommon named file, cut both files, and paste them in the first folder of the CS itself.

I'm not to sure if the mac version of RCT3 even has support for CS. If so you'll need to get into the program files of RCT3. Then find a folder in there called Style, then Themed, and put the stuff in there, that'd be my guess.

No sid: no svd means you extracted it wrong. you extract it open all the folders up till you get to the folder that is before the ovl files and put it in the style, themed folder.

Actually it Doesn't mean that at all, when you click on the folder there should be two files that say Stylecommon.ovl if those two files are missing they are probably in the next folder, if so then it shows that error.

Sigh... when you download something it goes wherever your browsers default spot is, if you have IE you pick where it goes then it can download directly to that folder. If it comes with an Installer (and it sounds like thats what you mean)then it doesn't matter where you get it from. Easeiest thing to do is download it to your desktop, open your flash drive window, and drag and drop the file. Simple as that.

make a shortcut on ur desktop of the "themed"folder then make a new folder call it whatever u want from now on download ur custom scenery in that folder un-ziped or un-rard.then right clik the custom scenery file and Hold then drag to the themed shortcut folder this SHOULD stop the error if ur game crashes then the scenery is broken.or u didnt do this right ill make a vid Explaining how. soon!
