  • I got Kaine suit / dress in Oblivion. Yay ^^

  • @UltiMasterlord Get if for me in skyrim please =)

  • @UltiMasterlord How? Please, tell me!

  • I can't even begin to describe the astonishing, breathe-taking visions I'm having while listening to this song. It's nourishing my imagination like nothing else did.

  • Easily the most underrated game of 2010. How such a gem gets completely underlooked I will never know. This is definitely one of the best soundtracks of all time, too.

  • @Kiro0 I loved Nier myself, but most of the reviews I've seen are pretty harsh on it.

  • @TheZielregen Oh I know, I just genuinely can't understand why. It's not exactly a perfect game but it certainly deserved more than the 6's and 7's it tended to get.

  • @Kiro0 6 and 7s are above average, but unfortunately most people now regard that as a low score instead of what it really is. Call it the fault of the reviewing industry for handing out too many 8 and 9s.

  • Lol I get choked up every time I listen to this version.

  • If you want half of the full sountrack i have playlist right here and i will put a download for the full one on my account but you can still use this one

  • The game was ok, I ended up buying this entire album haha :)

  • @EquinoxShane did you play it more than once?

  • one of the best gaming experience i ever had, awsome game and ost

  • One of the best OSTs since Chrono Cross/Xenogears era

  • When this music play,

    I close my eyes

    I listen with my heart,

    never heard anything more beatifull

  • why does everyone think the game is like thousands of years in the future? at the beginning of the game it says 2043 WTFF

  • @popsme11 Because... it said 1400 years later in the game, silly face.

  • @popsme11 only the first scene ( the semi-tutorial)

the rest of the game (the medieval world) si 1300 years in the future.... the plot is a bit complicated :D

  • @0Giangi0 Yeah, the only way to truly understand the whole story is to read all of Grimoire Nier which contains all of the notes you collect, all of the loading screen diary inputs from both Yonah and the research department. It also has HUGE interview with the developers and answers questions about the story and also what actually happens in the 1443 years that occurred before the games in detail.

  • @0Giangi0 the tech downgraded to medieval age, cause the souls came out and reborn into another body together, they have no knowledge of past, so what happens when no one have the knowledge of past(modern age)? they became cave men again =D

  • @popsme11 IN the year 2043... in a broken city, a father was defending he and his daughter from "monsters". His daughter wanted to help, so she touched a Grimoire Noir (even though she was forbiden from doing it). That caused their souls to be seperated from their bodies. Their souls created a new body (or is it the other way around) and that happened to be the so-called "thousands" of years into the future

    Correct me if im wrong

    PS: that includes grammar mistakes!!

  • @PathOfDamn thank you i wasnt aware of that!

    P.S. you spelled forbidden wrong

  • @popsme11 lol xD thanks for the heads up :P

  • @PathOfDamn Yeah. That scene happens only moments after Nier and Yonah escape from a government center they were supposedly going to get "help" from but instead they were given the Grimoire Noir copies to become Gestalts and the women who accompanied them all turned into violent relapsed Shades.

  • @RRRadish thats true, but those women also became like them, humans, they shades you say, are their shell that has no soul.

The shadowlord happens to be the main character we are playing (the shell, that is)

  • @PathOfDamn Well not really. Those women stayed "relapsed" and became insane Gestalts. Before Nier/Shadowlord came to be, there were no sane Gestalts around and they used him to perfect the project. Relapsed Gestalts don't have a Replicant shell to return to because their Replicants die from the Black Scrawl.

  • @RRRadish soo.... you meant those women (the souls) were dead, so the Shades (the shells) were raged?

  • @PathOfDamn No. Shades/Gestalts are the souls. Replicants are the shells that were made later.

  • @RRRadish owhhhh now i understand, the souls just want their shell back, and all the while we were only controlling the shell of the Shadowlord!!! right?

  • @PathOfDamn Yeah that's true. :3 And Weiss combined with Noir is actually the tool that's supposed to unite all the souls with their shells so that they can be real humans again.

  • @RRRadish but for some reason, Noir is evil xP

  • @PathOfDamn Well not really. All the time he just wants to unite with Weiss to save the world. He just has a jerky personality. You could say that Weiss is more of the evil one as he helps Nier kill Shadowlord and destroy humanity. O_o

  • @RRRadish i thought NieR just wanted to save his daughter and Weiss is helping, cause Shadowlord kidnapped her???

  • @PathOfDamn Well yeah. It's just that Nier doesn't know the true role of the Shadowlord and that killing him would be really bad for the world. :x

  • @RRRadish oh well :P

  • @reactionor top 2nd top rated comment -_-

  • please tell me! :P

  • Does someone know which language this is?

  • NieR OST sounds so...divine, to put it simply.

  • And thus... The final batle begin.

  • It's really just several mixed languages. In the game, the character Devola will tell you that it is an ancient language. It's all really cool ^^

  • this song makes me badass when i play NieR

  • dam the majority of songs have a high number of likes and no dislikes. it's that gdlk

  • i remember the dudes in masks kind of sounded like japanese

  • @joshfiend10 It is Japanese, just an older version of the language or something If I recall. It's like with Chinese or Spanish, there are different versions

  • French as well.

  • This song screams hope, I love it

  • filete, pulento, bkn, groso, extraordinario, magnifico tema

    en encanta la cancion :B

  • NieR has the best sountrack I ever heard in a videogame... Fantastic.

  • I think it's highly impressive how they completely changed the feel of one of the saddest songs from all OST's without changing the melody at all.

  • Love this song! It kind of reminds me of the openings to higurashi no naku koro ni and umineko no naku koro ni.

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE!!!

  • fantastic lyrics, this isn't even a real language, the singer made it up to sound like a futuristic version of gaelic. it's awesome, sometmes I cry.

  • @Ultratwinkie gaelic?

  • @narutotentensasuke Gaelic is irish btw

  • @1Death2Many oh i knew that!!!!

  • @Ultratwinkie Why must I crryyyyy!!!

  • @Ultratwinkie some of it's Portuguese

  • @Ultratwinkie it's a mix between many languages, including Japanese and Portuguese.

  • @blackeyedp7 You are thinking of the soundtrack in general. The woman who wrote the songs gave an interview and said the languages that different songs were based on. This was the Gaelic song. Hills of Radient Wind is the Portuguese song.

  • @Ultratwinkie really? this isnt a language? thats amazing i though it was something like greece!

  • @Ultratwinkie actually, NieR's music is based on a whole lot of languages, which is the coolest part of NieRs music.

  • @ffjfvfhu Gree-gaeili-nese-lish! Or something like that...

  • @lordkiku2 no, i mean that one song they will use one language, the other one they will use a completly different language, not a combination of all.

  • NOW THIS IS MORE LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!

  • Totally the epic version of Kaine Salvation!

  • I was here listening to this while on Play-Asia. This is a mark for me and the distance or where we stood. Are you watching? Are you listening closely? I am here wating.

  • osm track! i love the style of the ost!

and the language in this one is so pretty and indefineable

  • @CalinedMusic the vocalist purposely mashed up japanese, italian, i think german, and one other language to sound alien, yet natural to human progression, as the story takes place over 1300 years in the future

  • @shithoagie wow, thank you for the intriguing background info!
