  • no vtec in neutral, and its bad to redline an engine without a load

  • FAIL VTEC only kicks in while in drive dipshit

  • you need some gas

  • hw duz it feel sayin dis to a 14 year old

  • @Chadb89 i got expelled from school fuckface

  • @leemcfaddenlawd Well thats what happens when you talk and act like a jackass and stick up 7/11's

  • Please re-title video 'Vtec not kicking in'

  • no replacement for displacement??.. thats the sort of thing old die hard yanks keep telling there kids ..hence why jap and german cars lead the way these days when america run low on stealing oil and fuel prices rise to 7 dollars a gallon you will think thank fuck i bought a honda !..and it still does 0-60 mph in 6 seconds :)

  • @carsnwomen91

Just seen the other 2 comments you said about me...

    Lol cumdumpster

    #keyboard warrior.

  • @carsnwomen91

    haha why you so mad?

I have a z28 and a a boosted teg I love them both the teg is obviously a shitload faster but I Just like to shake up all the keyboard warriors on youtube.

  • V8s are a fucking waste of time and money, just to walked on by a piece of shit stock civic...

  • @Faintplague87 wow ur gay, just as gay as those gm bandwagon fanboys hating on honda civics (even clean ones). v8's are fucking awesome, and even though i do enjoy the sound of vtec cracks but nothing sounds universally good as a v8, specifically an american ohv v8.

  • @Faintplague87 if u spend time builing a civic to be faster than a stock Z06 thats great, respect. but being that powerful it'll only be good in a straight line (not honda's intent). i hope you also know there's no replacement for displacement... and if u put the same amount of mods in a larger engine ex the 7.0L v8 Z06, the gains are sooo much greater that the civic will have to be non street legal at that point to keep up with lets say twin turbo vette (which can still be street legal)

  • @Faintplague87 and show me a video of where a stock civic BEATS a current v8 (not in a truck) car. again, i'm not hating on honda's... i'm hating on the fact that ur just a fuckin cumdumpster that knows nothing about cars. and if v8s were shit the vette, nearly all ferrari's, astons, mercedes, bmw;s and much more would be considered a waste of money because, as you said, a stock shit civic will beat it anyways. hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have a nice day

  • @smokie42012 v8's r scrap y wud ye want wan o them heeps o dung

  • @leemcfaddenlawd im sorry nobody here speaks retard, please enroll back into school

  • if you go v8 avoid the ford 302 or the chevy 305...

  • fuck vetec its al for high school fuck with the blower sounding car get a real ca r with a fucking v8....

  • that was a shittec in his head

  • fucking idiot

  • no vtec in netural

  • my fart is more vtec than that

  • VTEC doesn't "kick in", it's not a turbo, NOS or something that Kicks in. VTEC could happen at 15 mph, depends on the RPM, torque, and oil pressure.

It's just a 3rd rocker arm that rides on a higher lift and duration cam lobe to make the engine more efficient under load.

Something "kicking in" would be putting a solenoid on a wastegate and flooring it and let the turbo spool and then closing it with a switch when you had full throttle to delay the boost and kick it in on demand.

  • @TheTheeggmann unfortunately you are wrong about the 'engagement' of vtec. there is a set RPM that it will engage. and strictly under normal conditions it will, as you say, 'Kick in'. it does not depend on torque i dont know what you are trying to say there. if it is not up to temperature it will not engage also if oil pressure is low it will not. but it literally is an on/off thing as it picks one cam lobe or the other depending on RPM

  • @somenutjob You are correct about the oil pressure and water temp however it is not simply an on off thing as such. Go out in whatever vtec car you own and go past the vtec engagement point while using hardly any throttle and it wont engage vtec, press it a bit harder and it will engage as it is also load dependant.

  • @AndrewStrang nope, it is still engaged even on low throttle, even if it doesn't feel or sound like it. trust me mate there is a single parameter in the ecu for vtec engagement there is no scale for throttle position or as you say 'load'. i own a turbo prelude with a hondata s100 and the vtec is SET at 4800 rpm. has nothing to do with throttle position

  • @somenutjob

Your ecu is tuned, Vtec only engages when up to temp , correct oil pressure and 17mph.

  • dummy obviously vtec doesn't kick in neutral smh

  • What a stupid ass gauge cluster.

  • what an ashole

  • i dont get why this guy keeps this video up if no one likes it

  • The ECU checks the VSS and you must be over 15 mph for VTEC to engage.

  • apparently VTEC doesn't kick in with the engine in neutral

  • Wow can I have my 16 seconds back?

  • What a dummy. Not moving = no vtec. Lmao. I did hit vtec in reverse once though

  • this is my comment saying how much smarter i am than everyone else on youtube. now i fit in!

  • you guys are all stupid, do you not know the definition of idling, no its not the same thing as neutral, clearly a revving engine is not idling,

  • I don't know what is more stupid.

The fact that this asshole things you can engage VTEC in nutral or that somone sold him a S2000

  • @IIGrayfoxII Well said!

  • its not even that cold..

  • And reving an engine cold.... Yeap dum ass people

  • @maluko289 It's not cold you smart ass...

  • @calvinblinkee If you know anything about S2000 you will know that the engine is only hot for high rev purpose when the red line switches to 9500 rpm at the moment in the video is still on 9000rpm and you could learn that only by reading the video description, with that you are another dum ass. Go get your license before speaking again.

  • Comment removed

  • @maluko289 look at the oil temp meter on the left side dude. its a warm engine.

  • @maluko289 if you look at the temp gauge, youll see its right b/w cold and warm. watch and think before you speak, DUMBASS!

  • @Dude13450

Peoople that don't even know anything about VTEC engines.... If u just read the description you will find out that when the engine is hot (working temperature) it will rev up to 9500rpm. Now it's only reving up to 9000rpm because it's not warm wet. Fucking reatarded!!!

  • @maluko289 the engine revving to 9500 when running at normal operating temperatures has absolutely NOTHING to do with the VTEC. any engine will run better and rev to higher RPMs when at normal temperature. Even my dad's shitty Taurus did that.

And I'm a ''retarded''??? You either need to learn to type properly, just stop typing in general, or stopping having seizures on your keyboard, because the phrase "fucking reatarded" does even call me a name nor does it affect me at all. Fucking RETARD!

  • @Dude13450 1- I'm not an American and my mother language is not English neither the less i speak and write better that a lot of Americans.

2- This is a S2000 VTec engine not your daddy stupid Honda Taurus engine dumbass! Go to Wikipedia learn something about S2000 engine or maybe you are too stupid and can't learn at all. An S2000 is a high reving output engine not a family saloon car. A S2000 has to be in perfect working temperature in order to pull the engine to high rev's without damaging it.

  • @maluko289 You're STILL calling me a dumbass?! Seriously, the Taurus was made by Ford not Honda! And any engine you supposed to let warm up til operating temperature if you want to push the car really hard, otherwise you're liable to damage any engine. Fuck dude, and I'm too stupid to learn? I am 15 years old, and I apparently know more about cars than you. I surprised you have any friends with that asshole attitude, oh wait, you probably don't! Just stop attempting to smart me out, it wont work

  • @maluko289 and like I said before, this engine's at normal operating temperature. If you wanna to drive a car til its HOT, then I'll let you overheat your engine, I won't be the dumbass that burns the water pump. Just really stop trying to outsmart me, all you're really doing is attempting to out prove that you're stupider than me.

  • @Dude13450 Kid get a life. I have friends, a job and my own car. I know a lot that you about cars i work on them since a kid. I have more to do that coming here replying to your noob shit. Go work on engine like i do for years then you will learn something.

Again this is a engine that goes to 9500rpm not your daddy's taurus. YES you are a DUMBASS!!!!! BIG TIME!!! CYA

  • @maluko289 I DO have a life. I DO have an engine I work on, which is in a Honda. Alright. I know my fair share of engines, and sure some can only go to 5500 and some can do 13000RPM, it all depends on the parts/mods involved with the engine, but it doesnt matter which engine you have, ANY will rev higher and run better when at proper temperatures.

So NO, I am not dumbass. Youre still the dumbass for originally thinking that the Taurus was made by Honda, and by saying its not warm when it is.

  • @Dude13450 Man taurus is piece of shit car and i don't give a fuck about him is for sale in america only. I'm not from there. Second is not warm enough yet, when the S2000 engine is warm the redline goes up to 9500 rpm at the moment is in 9000rpm only. Tham you are stubborn like hell.

  • wow you shouldn't even own a car...esp a s2k

  • omg how dumb can people be!

  • lol VTEC KICKED IN YO... in neutral.

  • No Vtec @ Idel so wtf?

  • good way to get a rod knock keep it up

  • keep in mind that it still has 2500+ rpm to go before it redlines

  • All honda s2k have a vtec engines ! dont be so fucktards!! like all mustang Gt's are V8.

    (Unless altered or customized)

  • @AlexSchneider21 Some Mustang's can be bought with an V6..

  • haha fail! soo gay!

  • awww! v-tec is sooo cute!!! VQ35 BABY!!!

  • fuck u and your v-tec i'll kill u with my busa

  • @drift18Japan busa? lolz bikes are for idiots. real men love cars.

  • @drift18Japan Wog?

  • lololololololol idle vtec FTL

  • lol. everyone knows you cant vtec in neutral unless you modify the car

  • VTEC just kicked in yo...on someone elses S2000 who is actually driving it.

  • Fucking idiot...

  • FAIL!

  • Why only idiots have hot cars?? jesus christ...

  • the engine needs to be in load, not free from load in idle. i know this and im not even a honda guy -__-

  • :D vtec works after 5000 rpm.

  • @sahtekar1000 VTEC engages at different RPMs on every VTEC engine

  • Lol

  • haha this i can bet anything that this stupid dumb bitch liked his own video

  • you know thats not how it works... right?

  • My overglorified scooter rev's higher. Ninjette. :P

  • VTEC wont kick in, yo!

  • my lawnmower can do that.

  • @MrChrisproductions forever alone

  • You wont have VTEC in idle, why are yall so stupid?

  • @kevinonstenk you'll have vtec at idle and in reverse if you tune your ecu to having it lmfao

  • @kevinonstenk hahahahaha wtf is wrong with these people...how can someone make a video talking about vtec but they dont know that vtec wont engage at idle...fuckin sad

  • @VDuBMaSTa That's the point.

  • @kevinonstenk i beg to differ, i've hit vtec just reving my car like that.

  • @kevinonstenk no VTACKy in idle? Maybe I watched the video wrong, but when it wasn't idling it was way over idle speeds RPM wise. Did you mean no VTRASH unless in gear? lawlz.

  • @daemonicc Funny:)

  • @kevinonstenk Correction: You wont have vtec when your vehicle is NOT MOVING, the ECM needs a signal from the VSS ( Vehicle Speed Sensor ) to let him know that the car is in motion when the car is not in motion the vtec solenoid does not engage, you said at IDLE, idle is approximately around 700 RPM, last time i checked 9000 RPM wasn't IDLE !

So yeah you wont have vtec when the car is not moving.. and 'yall' are not stupid

  • @kevinonstenk ummm...at idle? lol

  • No vtec at idle...

  • @CrimsonxJackal can you explain this to me--- how does the car know it is in idle? why not just have VTEC turn on at 6K no matter what? does it have to do with not being flat to the floor?

  • @onquarter The car knows when it's not in gear, the position of the clutch, gaspedal, speed etc. There's just a load of sensors in cars nowadays. There are certain conditions for VTEC to engage. (i.e. being in a gear and moving)
