Take it apart really you take of the cover and about 5 screws put your harddrive in the hardrive case put the screws in and insert into the console and update from playstations website

If you have one of the backward compatible versions, yes you can still play your PS2 games, but you will need to recreate the PS2 memory card partition on the drive.

b4 installing back up all data on ps3 ok system settings. then follow the vid. then when you attach all wires and turn it on reformat. don't worry on data on new hard disk so wait ten sec. then go to system settings and restore back up data approx. 1h 20mins and your done. now get downloading (illegally) o_-

Yes. It clearly works. I've done it myself. My HDD broke and my warranty expired so instead I bought a 320GB HDD to replace my broken 80GB. Saves me ALOT more money than buying a new system.
