Thanks much for the comments. I see others doing it, but I just do not feel good about it myself.

If I wanted just sex, I could just go down to the bar for that, and I really do not wish to do that.

I would want someone I know, their traits and faults. If I can handle those, then fine but online it seems easy for many to mask them..There lies the problem..

While it CAN work....as a matter of fact I believe the internet is fast replacing conventional dating services....it can be lethal...Anyone can say anything....On the net everyone looks like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Everyone has PhD behind his/her name....and all are in 6 figure incomes.

However...there are those beautiful exceptions

Well, it's surely isn't a thing for me. Haven't tried it... but I haven't heard many success stories! It's like buying a perfume in a catalog... you looked at the package but haven't smelled/felt it's true essence. Damn this was kind of poetical... not my thing either but oh well, not gonna delete it now lol.

Hi Jim, I've heard good & bad things about internet dating. I'd say, give it a try at least once. There are people I know who met on youtube that are married now. So you never know about these things. You might meet the woman of your dreams. I always thought correspondence over time was I great way to develop a long lasting relationship BEFORE the actual meeting in person.

i did an online dating...once wehn i was younger...it was good but nothing more than that//// we met and all...but there was no sparks after all...hahah but its not a bad idea to meet new people....^_^

I never understood the point of "long distance" relationships. Maybe it's a good option for people who are extremely shy or have trouble meeting people. I've tried out various dating sites and it's been 50/50. Met a few great women that way and also some complete disasters. I really prefer to just venture into the world and see who I run into :)
