  • LOL!

  • Nom Nom Nom

  • "Om nom nom" :D

  • My F6 made that sound as a kitten

  • had me a kitten who made the same sounds while eating, he was a gorgeous cross-breed. I always thought ,since i had two other cats, that the sound meant "stay away", cuz the other ones did not go near him, and he was the smallest in the pack, and out-weighed by the biggest one by a good 8Kg (16lbs). word to the wise, don't get ur fingers between this one and his food, just in case:D

  • my parents have an F1 bengal and he makes that weird noise when he eats

  • gorgeous markings,like a mini leopard! what a sweetheart

  • its probably cat for yummy

  • I think cats just make the noises they like, when they like! :)

My kitten learned how to growl and whenever he has something in his mouth, he'll growl and hiss. Not angrily, just for the fun of it!

He's a rotter though. He can ONLY growl if he has something in his mouth so when we gave him and our other cats a little bit of beef each, he picked his up and growled at our other cat, scaring him away. Even funnier, he didn't even want his meat, he was just being mean! :P

  • Can all cats do this? Because our two cats did this when they were kittens and I'm almost sure they're not Bengals.

  • it looks like a chetah! :D

  • sounds like fart =x

    but cute though ! :D

  • I just wanted to add that the reason they make this noise is not because they are being protective. It's because they are saying thanks. Both the bengals I had (F1 brother and sister) used to do this, and they would often take their head from the bowl, look at me with those adorable eyes and make the noise. Usually resulting in the food dropping from their mouthes.LOL

  • My F1 bengal used to do this too, but he didn't stop. And the older he got the more loud it became. Funny, even after four years I still sat and found it hilarious.

  • Num Num Num!

  • My Bengals used to do that when they were kittens! They did it drinking water too.

  • this foods is gooooood yum yum

  • the kitty is having a food orgasm duhhhhh

  • Wow I never heard a cat do that before! that's really cute!

  • HA! I haven't laughed at a cat video so hard in a LONG time! Silly kitty!

  • I think all Bengal cats do that when they were kittens. Mine did that and was more vocal.

  • My kitty tries to purr while she eats, although it doesn't sound quite as funny as this!

  • lol...his he singing while he is eating...lol

  • the cats just going "yum yum yum"

  • I see it more as "Nom Nom Nom!"

    :)

  • hai does anyone know where i can get one of these i live in nsw australia???

  • Most of the cat,,do make sound

    when they enjoy their meal

my cat dnt wana eat 1 thing twice a week,,i can only offer her,,when she make sounds like this

    means she lovr it,,

other wise hve 2 wait 4 next week

  • And I thought cats just go "nom nom nom" when they eat... LMAO

  • my cat does that too

  • You know, this is actually one of my favorite 'mundane' videos on Youtube. It's so cute to see your kitty indulge like that in it's food. Yeah she's not mad that he's getting too close, that sound just means she *REALLY* likes it. It looks like she's eating raw hamburger from here, and I'm sure she'll be occupied for a while :)

  • Thank you for the comment! I still get a kick out of this video even though I took it :)

  • itis crazy how alike the bengal breed is, my kitten does this same thing, and i always thought he was mad at me for getting too close, this is good news, thanks

  • LOL that's adorable.

My hypothesis: maybe cats do this to "protect" their food. I work with cats and some growl/yowl when their food bowl is touched, similar to dogs guarding their kibble.

  • No, actually that is another sound. This is that the food is nice

  • must be some good eatin :P

  • My kitten did the same thing when she first came to me. I thougt it was because she was used to eat with her brothers and sisters.

  • Sounds like

    Yum Yum Yum

  • Nyw nyw nyw!

  • So adorable!

  • gorgeous markings,like a mini leopard! what a sweetheart

  • my bengal do the same I got 5 kittens at my place imagine 5 doing the same !!!

  • it sounds like that because it's getting mad because the person was near his food.

  • hahahahahahahahahhaha

    soo cute!!!

  • lol thats so cute

  • That kitten sounds and looks like a tiger!!! Don't touch my food...LOL

  • Sounds vicious

  • Thats adorable. What do you feed?

  • that´s funny!

  • I think he likes it...

  • auhauahauaha che duciiii ^.^

  • My ordinary Norwegian house cats protects his food like that too. Especially if there's another cat around, and he gets something really nice to eat - like fish og crab, that he does not want to share.

  • My 5 month old F3 bengal sounds just like that when she eats, too.

  • It's not a Bengal tiger, it's a Bengal cat which is a domestic cat, same size as house cats.

    They're gorgeous cats!

  • Yes, when i have enough money, i will buy one!!

  • Dumbass, its a bengal kitten.

  • Hungry baby.

  • how much was that F1 looking to buy one as soon as my last semester of college ends cant wait

  • She was $1250, but that was a very good deal.

  • Aww shes so beautiful...

  • MY friend had a Bengal bayby, man he did not like female anythings, but got along with dogs. I am waiting for the Toyger though, they look so cute..a new genetic breed, housecat sized tigers. Thanks for sharing !

  • Lol!!!!!

  • full domestic cats don't do that anymore, but some cats that were raised in the streets or in the woods do that sound when eating, specially when they are eating meat.

That sound means that they don't want to share their food and that they concider you a threat because you are too close and they think you may steal their food

  • Thanks for the information. Ebi hardly considers anyone a threat. Also, she does the noise when she is in a room by herself.

  • i always thought that my cat was enjoying her food when she made that sound

  • That was too funny!

  • nomnomnom ^^

  • $300 to $600?? Family members sell them for $1200-$1500...

  • Sounds like the little Kitty is telling the others in the litter to stay away, he seems to be worried that he will not get any food. Wish that he was mine!

  • A true mmyum mmyum mmyum noise :D Cute!

  • HAHA we had a cat that did that, it thinks youre gonna take it's food away

  • Aww, what a cute kitty! I think that would be fun, to breed Bengals. They are so gorgeous!

  • For all the Bengal cat owners, did they cost around $500? I sure want a kitten, too. But then, again, they need to stay with mama for about 12 wks.

  • I would say $600 is average.

Ebi was $1250 since she is an F-1

  • I still laugh whenever I hear your cat eating. What in the heck goes thru their little minds?

In our paper, I saw an ad for a Bengal for $300, which I thought was kind of inexpensive, but good. The owner was registered with the TCIF (?). Also, I am now confused because I thought that we could only get F4's. One more question, please. Do you have other cats? I have two. We just had to put down our 21 yr old, which was just too sad.

  • I imagine this is what goes through their heads: "food...mine....mine, food....food...mine...mine...MINE"

  • $300 sounds a little cheap...The two places they should be registered are TICA and TIBCS.

F4's is when the cat becomes a "bengal" Ebi is technically a foundation cat since she has over 50% wild blood.

We have another cat who is 7 , she is a bengal/tabby mix. They get along great now. IT just took some time.

  • my cat used to say mama in the morning....and sleep next to my head...and when the food came out...watch out!!!!

  • mari did that when we first got her. LOL!

  • My Bengal is 16 weeks, she does the same thing. LOL!

  • Lol thats funny I have a bengal cat too! How old is yours mine is 5 months

  • She will be 12 weeks old on tues!

    She is a total riot.

  • I know how you feel!
