@PavaoPaul ... is it true that you have to learn "Django" at Julliard?
I thought I heard once that at Julliard they would use his mastery of the guitar to show students how it's suppose to sound, not necessarily how it's suppose to be done, I mean, with a missing finger and all.
I love this rendition of a great old tune. Django and Stephan could really swing it! I wonder how their American counterparts, Joe Venuti and Eddie Lang would have played it. No matter , though, they were all fantastic musicians and left a rich legacy for succeeding generations to enjoy.
Django was one of a very few European jazz musicians who was respected and accepted by his American counterparts as a bonafide jazz artist. And what a great artist he was!!! By the way, his fellow artist, Stephan Grapelly, was as equally venerated as Django in America.
Thanks so much for putting this one up so fast - unbelievable how great Django is! I learn something every time I listen to his recordings. Keep up the good work on this great iniciative.

It's hard to believe that it's so old. It was like it was recorded yesterday. But so what Django kicks ass!!
