  • great version indeed..Pl. check out my version under "entertainer mike danton."

  • All you up and coming guitar players take note this is how it's done !

  • @PavaoPaul ... is it true that you have to learn "Django" at Julliard?

I thought I heard once that at Julliard they would use his mastery of the guitar to show students how it's suppose to sound, not necessarily how it's suppose to be done, I mean, with a missing finger and all.

  • Awesome! TY for posting.

  • Charlie Christian be like, ' Awww' HellnawWwWwWw......!'

  • what can i say, i love this song

  • this is seriously hard to play!

  • Brilliant for Silent Movies =D

  • I love this rendition of a great old tune. Django and Stephan could really swing it! I wonder how their American counterparts, Joe Venuti and Eddie Lang would have played it. No matter , though, they were all fantastic musicians and left a rich legacy for succeeding generations to enjoy.

  • happy birthday!

  • It's hard to believe that it's so old. It was like it was recorded yesterday. But so what Django kicks ass!!

  • Django was one of a very few European jazz musicians who was respected and accepted by his American counterparts as a bonafide jazz artist. And what a great artist he was!!! By the way, his fellow artist, Stephan Grapelly, was as equally venerated as Django in America.

  • love it (H)

  • Thanks so much for putting this one up so fast - unbelievable how great Django is! I learn something every time I listen to his recordings. Keep up the good work on this great iniciative.
