well i just saw the bronx supporting biffy clyro in manchester on the kerrang 2007 tour, and they weren't great... its like the singer's listened to pantera and thought "phil anselmo sounds cool in the screamy parts, i'll copy that" only he doesn't quite get the idea that actually singing is a good thing to do the rest of the time... never mind - biffy were amazing so i don't mind! :)
in dublin they were 10 times better than biffy whilst biffy were good the bronx were amazing and at least they had the decencey to come outside after the show and meet there fans
Haha got it wrong close tho. The major labels biggest part for The Bronx is touring ... its what they do. With touring theres marketing, with marketing theres money and who better to pay ... the major label, thats who.
because they were making a point of "the bronx" by making it bare as fuck, recording it in a live environment with a 3 take rule so it gave the album a live feel. Their point being the way you hear an album should be the way you would here it live. Ive got a feeling that this is what he is refering to in this video, and if they feel so strongly about this, why would they need a major label which gives bigger budget, more time, and ultimately a more polished record.
