I don't think the people from MOTHER 1+2 were abducted. If that's true the entire history of MOTHER 3 would have been altered and the timeline would screw up since no one existed for the years between the destruction of the world in MOTHER 1+2. If no one existed, no one could have come to the Nowhere Islands. Also, how could the world be destroyed by humans if they were all abducted? Ness and his friends returned home safely after Pokey fled. He may have abducted Dr. Andonuts...
@TheNessEB and everyone else from different timelines, but it seems safe to say that the people that we know in MOTHER 1+2 were safe. Ness also defeated the evil within his heart and absorbed the power of the world. He could have easily defeated Pokey again and would most likely be immune to brainwashing since he is already psychic.

At some point in the game, somebody mentions how the kids seem to look nothing like their parents. On my first playthrough, I assumed this was a joke about the character design.
On my second playthough however, when I knew what Leder had to say...

Leder's story is very idk the word for it but what happens in mother 3 is so close to happen in this world 1st people knew the end was comming mother 3:magypsies earth: the mayans, the gathering of of items to prevent a disaster mother 3: needles earth: crystal skulls, technology that erases memory mother 3:unknown earth: the flash beam plus the humans destroted the world earth:pollution,deforestation, and lack of resources very spooky i hope 2012 is not true or else it will happen "shudder"
But if Porky got so old, Andonuts would be dead. My theory is that he took Jeff with him, and they got to be the same age to be old and look like his father.
Hmm...so does Ness and Co. actions create a split timeline like the Legend of Zelda then? That is, the timeline where Buzz Buzz is compelled to go to the past to warn Ness and where Giygas is launching his attack is the timeline where Ness never destroys him, and perhaps it is the influence of Giygas over people that causes the destruction of the world (and perhaps he kills himself since he grows in power and degenerates into just being an embodiment of evil like a black hole?)

We never did verify the Hot Dog Guy's name. That means it could be Ness, or, at the very least, a descendent of Ness, since he sells not only steak, but a yo-yo. It seems suspicious, as it does when he puts on an accent in one of the chapters. That might be to disguise his voice for some reason? Then again, it wouldn't make much sense why he would come to New Pork City, or the fact that he looks so young...

OH!! I hate it when people suggests an end of our Earth for a new "perfect" beginning. Of course, starting all a new would be screwed up. Because we aren't the only creatures in the galaxy, and not the only physical threat. Starting all anew would mean the doom of mankind. @trumpetgirl27hi i already hav a sort of twisted mind but i also do show mercy. I would torture my enemy for a good month or so (non-stop) and then show forgiveness by killin him/her, so there. But then again u would hav to do something rly terrible to me for me to commit such an act (such as hurting my family).
So if its believed in Japanese writings that a white ship will save select people at the end of the world then they are talking about a race from another galaxy / planet that could possibly be future humans or possibly some other Alien type race.
I wonder if Shigesato Itoh believes in the Atlantis and Lemurian tales. Or that past humans found a way to get off this planet and make their way out into the galaxy and find another planet to call home, and come back to check up on us.
@Fuuraisen Japan had their own version of Atlantis called Yona Guni, a bunch of small islands to the east of Japan. They were said to be technilogicaly advanced and could possibly be where the white ship idea comes from

Leder's story is very idk the word for it but what happens in mother 3 is so close to happen in this world 1st people knew the end was comming mother 3:magypsies earth: the mayans, the gathering of of items to prevent a disaster mother 3: needles earth: crystal skulls, technology that erases memory mother 3:unknown earth: the flash beam plus the humans destroted the world earth:pollution,deforestation, and lack of resources very spooky i hope 2012 is not true or else it will happen "shudder"

Hmm...so does Ness and Co. actions create a split timeline like the Legend of Zelda then? That is, the timeline where Buzz Buzz is compelled to go to the past to warn Ness and where Giygas is launching his attack is the timeline where Ness never destroys him, and perhaps it is the influence of Giygas over people that causes the destruction of the world (and perhaps he kills himself since he grows in power and degenerates into just being an embodiment of evil like a black hole?)

@sparx401 And then, after the whole "Make a New Story", Mother 3 occurs. Then in the timeline where Ness has destroyed Giygas in the past is the timeline where peace and prosperity reign, and so perhaps the events before and during Mother 3 do not occur. This is all just fan theory of course...

We never did verify the Hot Dog Guy's name. That means it could be Ness, or, at the very least, a descendent of Ness, since he sells not only steak, but a yo-yo. It seems suspicious, as it does when he puts on an accent in one of the chapters. That might be to disguise his voice for some reason? Then again, it wouldn't make much sense why he would come to New Pork City, or the fact that he looks so young...

OH!! I hate it when people suggests an end of our Earth for a new "perfect" beginning. Of course, starting all a new would be screwed up. Because we aren't the only creatures in the galaxy, and not the only physical threat. Starting all anew would mean the doom of mankind. Too bad Lucas wouldn't know about it, but I bet Leder knows (of course, Porky knows).

Okay, I mentioned this earlier, but I think Paula may be Lil Miss Marshmallow. Now I'll say why:
She has Ness's yoyo.
Porky/Pokey took people from the past onto the islands. If Ness could possibly be a pigmask, then there's no reason why Paula can't be his toy.
If you had Porky's twisted mind (I'd feel sorry for you then), wouldn't you want to turn an enemy into a toy?

So if its believed in Japanese writings that a white ship will save select people at the end of the world then they are talking about a race from another galaxy / planet that could possibly be future humans or possibly some other Alien type race.
I wonder if Shigesato Itoh believes in the Atlantis and Lemurian tales. Or that past humans found a way to get off this planet and make their way out into the galaxy and find another planet to call home, and come back to check up on us.
