ZO6 did not hook up at all! He was all over the place. Must be street tires, but man he hung in there better than I expected. The ZO6 is still a great buy and for a few extra bucks it could easily beat this AMG. Great video! Thanks.

This is a great clip, these cars go hard and are impressive, the vette holds very well. the CL65 is a brute and runs high speeds for long periods. The Vette is a great second bet, but certainly a superb choice if your bank account is not unlimited.

Most auto speedometers are not very accurate at high speeds, and even higher speeds, more inaccurate still; also depends on tire wear, modifications, etc... Just check the magazines goof, they do formalized testing.

ZR1 can run a Carrera GT and SLR, but not the Z06. ...and McLaren F1 is alot faster than all these.
I'm a big Vette fan but it's not as nice as these 300k or 500k+ vehicles.

Torque is actual power; HP is the rate of delivery of torque or power.
So high HP is good for strong acceleration in upper engine revs.
Torque however is the actual strength the engine has to push
a car through a highly resistive wall of air at high speed.
The big 6L TT MB engine has at least a 250lb/ft advantage on Z06 N/A motor.
Aero is similar, so MB pulls more at end!

That missed shift caused the clear pull away at end, even though MB was winning.
Great race! medium shifting skills in Vette and way too much wheelspin in first gear.
Driver should have done a burn out, got tires really hot. If ZR1 can hook up with hot tires, Z06 should be able to as well.

This is a great clip, these cars go hard and are impressive, the vette holds very well. the CL65 is a brute and runs high speeds for long periods. The Vette is a great second bet, but certainly a superb choice if your bank account is not unlimited.

Most auto speedometers are not very accurate at high speeds, and even higher speeds, more inaccurate still; also depends on tire wear, modifications, etc... Just check the magazines goof, they do formalized testing.

@KILLA2015 ...well, I don't know which McLaren you're referring to, but I love the F1, worth every penny! and the McLaren SLR also a bitchn car. It runs around 207 or 208mph and I think will actually out accelerate the Carrera GT in the upper ranges.
ZR1 can run a Carrera GT and SLR, but not the Z06. ...and McLaren F1 is alot faster than all these.
I'm a big Vette fan but it's not as nice as these 300k or 500k+ vehicles.
I would like to see a Z06 and SLR go at it though.

That CL65 is running well over 700lb/ft of torque, well over 200 lb/ft more than Z06 & needed all of it to get the win. Compare mpg on the two, see who blushes. Vette's V8 is bulletproof! Learn it!

@belal119911 the reason why Europeans use turbo's on their engine's is EFFICIENCY. Meaning that they get the most amount of power from the least amount of fuel. for instance a Porsche GT2 rs getting 620 bhp from 3.6l while doing 32 mpg(hwy). or a Mercedes cl63 5.5l getting 570 bhp and 34mpg(hwy).
