All of these are nice. My favorite lately is Emboar. I know fire/fighting duality is nothing new but what sets it apart is the first and so far only fire type to learn a water type move(scald). You have to admit this is awesome.
@SpinJ678 Hypnosis only has 60% accuracy though. Combine that with the sleep clause, that's hardly anything special. Breloom is far superior with the spore, focus punch, substitute (along with poison heal) combo. Also check the tiers, poliwrath is a bottom tier pokemon in competitive battling.

@bluehawko You're quite mistaken. To quote smogon, it has just the right stats in the right places to be a great sweeper. It has very good speed (max of 347). Decent stats in both attack and special attack (max of 337 in each). Good dual stab for attacking. 120 base power moves for both of its types in both physical and special. Also has access to swords dance and nasty plot. Combine that with a great movepool, you've got a great pokemon. It's top (non uber) tier for a reason.
And infernape and blaziken get beaten by gallade. Heracross has some flying type moves and good SP def. so look into things before you put type advantage ahead of all other things. Comping from how piplup beat turtwig with peck. and advantage move and stat. sure blaze and infern are formidable, but everyone has there own top 10.
@Th3Best0ne That's true, Swords Dance Lucario is one of the best late game sweepers. On a proper team it really does well. My current team which features that set, is actually 9-0 so far in competitive battling. It doesn't rely on it by any means, but it's a potent threat in any battle.
blaziken and lucarios stats are basically the same only lucario is faster and has a higher special attack stat but blaziken does have an element advantage and everyone knows that if these pokemon fought with no items equipped then blaziken might win if blaziken had charcoal equipped he most likely win

@blackluster901 Actually check a pokemon damgage calculator, all of this is set up through a completely even battle (ev trained, max ivs). choice banded jolly or adamant close combat, earthquake both guaranteed ohkos: life orb physical attacker: adamant nature same attacks would be guaranteed ohkos, jolly close combat on the same set does 97% minimum. even a choice scarf (so it's impossible for a choice scarf blaziken to outspeed it) adamant earthquake does 91-107%

@bluehawko You're quite mistaken. To quote smogon, it has just the right stats in the right places to be a great sweeper. It has very good speed (max of 347). Decent stats in both attack and special attack (max of 337 in each). Good dual stab for attacking. 120 base power moves for both of its types in both physical and special. Also has access to swords dance and nasty plot. Combine that with a great movepool, you've got a great pokemon. It's top (non uber) tier for a reason.

And infernape and blaziken get beaten by gallade. Heracross has some flying type moves and good SP def. so look into things before you put type advantage ahead of all other things. Comping from how piplup beat turtwig with peck. and advantage move and stat. sure blaze and infern are formidable, but everyone has there own top 10.

@Th3Best0ne That's true, Swords Dance Lucario is one of the best late game sweepers. On a proper team it really does well. My current team which features that set, is actually 9-0 so far in competitive battling. It doesn't rely on it by any means, but it's a potent threat in any battle.

blaziken and lucarios stats are basically the same only lucario is faster and has a higher special attack stat but blaziken does have an element advantage and everyone knows that if these pokemon fought with no items equipped then blaziken might win if blaziken had charcoal equipped he most likely win

@pumpkinking39 Actually, Because of the speed advantage, even a jolly natured (max attack ev investment) close combat with a life orb equipped is a guaranteed ohko on a blaziken that isn't ev trained for defense. Lucario is far more likely to win.

Unless blaziken is equipped with a choice scarf, lucario would go first and ohko any offensive ev spread blaziken with close combat (even jolly nature with life orb equipped. Heck even a adamant nature choice scarf lucario does 95% minimum to offensive ev spread blaziken. Bottom line, lucario is far more likely to win a straight up battle. Check the facts.

I was pointing out the fact that lucario is FAR more likely to beat blaziken. In a matchup between sweepers, the faster pokemon is the more likely win most of the time. ha we all know Lucario is a one of a kind pokemon. although he lacks the defencive stat witch nearly any 100 power move will ohko unless u ev train both sp def and def. then its a whole different stroy. but with average lucario is good but not good enough! and also Heracross, Medicham, Toxicroak, and Gallade. one of those are defentily number one. Number 1: medicham. Medicham is the best because of reasons. His pure power double his attack stat. whcih his max attack is 240 which adds up to 480.

@thisispissnmeoff I can see why you like primape the best, but in general lucario is a better pokemon, the only major stat (attacking potential wise) that primape has the advantage in is speed. lucario can be a good as both a special and physical attacker. lucario has a better movepool (type coverage along with access to swords dance and extreme speed) generally speaking lucario is a better pokemon in terms of power

@gamelvr1 dude with out using tm's, blaziken learns the move "peck" the weakst flying type move in the game....if Blaziken were to use that along with its massive attack stat (since Peck is a physical move) it would knock it down to nothing, not to mention that infernape has low defence...Also balziken looks cooler :P... The only way blaziken would even stand a chance of going first if it's equipped with a choice scarf. a choice scarf adamant 252 atk ev trained blaziken would only do a max of 43% you idiot. the only way for blaziken to beat infernape is the ev spread i mentioned along with a choice scarf and it either using a move such as earthquake.

@blackluster901 Actually check a pokemon damgage calculator, all of this is set up through a completely even battle (ev trained, max ivs). choice banded jolly or adamant close combat, earthquake both guaranteed ohkos: life orb physical attacker: adamant nature same attacks would be guaranteed ohkos, jolly close combat on the same set does 97% minimum. even a choice scarf (so it's impossible for a choice scarf blaziken to outspeed it) adamant earthquake does 91-107%

@blackluster901 all of those damage calcualations are based off of offensive ev spreads. bottom line, the only chance blaziken has to win is if ran choice scarf (because of the speed disadvantage). it's not just my opinion you retard, go to smogon, they have the best damage calculator out there, infernape would almost be guaranteed to ohko. don't get me wrong blaziken is a good pokemon, put because of its subpar speed, it would more then likely lose to infernape AND THAT'S A FACT YOU IDIOT

@blackluster901 I loved using blaziken in 3rd gen it was pretty reliable, it was almost always a guranteed ko on anything other then faster water or psychic types. i don't know if you've heard, but apparently the 5th gen's fire starter's evolutions are part fighting again, so i'm rather curious how it will stack up to the lofty pedestal that blaziken and infernape have made (so to speak)

@blackluster901 i saw some of the type combos that will be coming out, and some look intriguing, one of the new mascots is fire/dragon (kind of crazy it took 5 gens for that combo to happen) and bug/steel. if serebii's info is correct some of the pokemon look pretty nasty in terms of power, of course alot of power doesn't do any good if it doesn't have a decent movepool
