@anksrulz He was disqualified from the race. It's kinda sad this is one of the things he's most known for because he was a pretty good runner. I mean, you have to be if you're fending off Haile. It must have been insanely disappointing to come that far and lose in the last few seconds, but in any sport it's important to not attach so much pride to an event. When I lose, I look at it as a learning experience and am humbled by my opponent's skill and determination.

Geb is the greatest distance runner ever in the history of running. Bekele is right there with him as the greatest but Geb ran the marathon WR too we have to give him big stars for that. It's such a shame he had to retire because of his knee pain. I hope he comes back but I doubt it. He has accomplished everything a runner could have possibly done. There is no need for you to come back Geb, you are the greatest and I love you very much brother.

Still, it goes without saying that Gebreselassie is among the greatest distance runners ever.
