  • now that i think about it... i was wondering why i was getting responces from a video i commented on months ago.

  • LOL! what the hell am I doing at top comment? :P there's always a certain kind of smugness that comes with moments like this, lol. Still smug, still smug, stttiillll smug... and it's gone. :) Later.

  • insane.

  • Snakes are deaf. They are not mesmerized and not being 'charmed'. They're pissed off and just tracing the guys movements like any other predator looking for an opening to strike. Good video though

  • @bigpurplenug

Many people believe that snakes are deaf. This assumption is due largely to the fact that snakes have no outer ear. They do however have an inner ear and are quite capable of hearing.

  • @bigpurplenug Snakes aren't deaf you moron.

  • Oh look an incredibly skinny dude with an incredibly annoying beak! Lets pretend we're charmed so we can bite his hand off! =(:

  • I feel sorry for the snakes having to listen to that crap. And he removed the fangs, yet he still flinches when they move toward him.

  • @12799MaDeuce there is no proof this particular man had defanged most people in india dont also snakes cannot hear

  • Getting into Quantum fields - music has the ability to move organic matter in your brain because of the way sound works - it actually possess energy outside the ears - we just can't actually perceive it any way other than our ears.

  • Which ones the snake?

  • @theaman20091 LOL!

  • Thats some bad ass shit

  • The big sham is that Cobras are deaf!

  • @horowizard So? big deal! Nobody ever said it was the annoying kazoo that charmed the cobras did they?

  • what is the instrument he is playing???

  • @samuraichuck87 its called 'been'

  • Whatever snake charming may be

    It needs technique and guts

  • ithu kalakki. ippol pampattikale nattil kanane illa. policine pedichu alkkar ee thozhil nirthi.

  • Iron Lungs Pro

  • what a dangerous job......

  • Actually, they dont dance. They just think the instrument as a thing to strike. Just saying... And if you de-fang the cobra, no matter how many times you take the fangs out, they grow back. They dont stay de-fanged...

Just saiyan (hehe... any Dragon Ball Z fans no what this'll mean).

  • What happens when he stops playing and the lids not on well enough....? O.o

  • they don't seem real charmed

  • *Puts lid on snakes head.*

    *SLEEP*

  • The trick to snake charming is that you do something to alert the snake. The snake comes up out of the bucket/pot or whatever, then the snake charmer begins swaying and the snake moves its head to keep an eye on the charmer. ^^ Learned that in english class today

  • Da fuck u looking at bro? Lmao.

How did i found this vid anyways -_-

  • i didnt read that he took out the fangs so at first i was impressed

  • oh! i didnt know that the piper has changed his pets from mice to snakes... o.O

  • Comment removed

  • I don't get why he'd remove the fangs though, I've never heard of that and it is cruel....

  • @swordebrithil12 Um so they dont hurt him when they bite lol. Im pretty sure its more cruel to chop of dogs balls off so they cant reproduce.

  • @iluvcelinaagain Well if you don't want em to bite you, don't charm them lol. With the more experienced people I think they can do this without getting hurt even when they have fangs. All I'm saying is that it's unnecessary.

  • Guys, over in the east this is like a profession. And technically the snakes aren't being snatched from their homes because these countries ARE their homes. The men know how to treat them.

  • Awesome !!! He is S.U.P.E.R.S.N.A.K.E.S !!!!

  • First there was Russian roulette, now there is Indian roulette!

  • The poor snakes, it's so cruel.

  • No Steve its a trap!

  • i enjoy this video. i enjoy the comments even more.: )

  • He's good

  • Snakes can only hear very low frequencies, the kind of noises you hear with your ear to the ground. Their eardrum is enclosed inside of their head.

Snake charmers do their trick through the motion, not the sound. The sound is there for show, like a magician distracting his audience.

I charm my boa unintentionally by trying to get him to sniff my hand. He only moves when you do! Stop, and he stops. He will follow you along a figure-eight if you choose to move your head that way.

  • That dumb ass has guts

  • LIKE A BOSS >:D

  • when he runs out of breath hes dead. downside to snake charming.

  • By the way- with out their fangs they'll eventually starve to death.

  • Come to Australia....I'll get a Western Brown for ya

  • the annoying vuvuzela music makes them sick and confused.

  • the vibration from the unique sound he makes distorts their instinctive ability to attack, while moving his hand in circle with his palm down concentrates their sight on a constantly moving, but never really going anywhere, target? . my best arguement

  • Snake charming is fake, snakes can't hear, the reason they are all stood up like that is because they see him or the music instrument as a threat and are trying to warn him to back off

  • @bennettboyproduction Well if you notice, his hand mimics a cobra. I noticed that too, and thats why they snap back at him.

  • @bennettboyproduction your answer is wrong; they think the pipe is a snake. And they haven't seen such a snake like that before.

  • Back in your box snakes

  • 0:40 The First Snake Has A Smiley Face On The Back Of His Head

  • Im mad that he took out their faings

  • i dont think he's snake charming i just think cobra's watch the hell out of their targets

  • snakes going for him like "I FUKIN HATE THIS SONG, PLAY SOMETHING FROM ABBA"

  • What if u missed a note? O.o

  • Scary but cool

  • LOL THEY TRIED TO BITE HIM LIKE 10 TIMES LOL ITS FUCKING CHUCK NORRIS

  • hahaha so cool this is awesome

  • hahaha so cool

  • asombroso, espectacular, increible, super cultural

  • OMG, i just peed my pants a little bit...

  • Snake1: *snaping viciously at man* First you snatch us from our homes, take us from our families and rip out our goddamn FANGS-

Snake 2: -But now you have the audacity to play this horrible music and expect us too dance around for you like some little puppets just so you can entertain the tourists?!

Snake 3: WHEN WILL THE INJUSTICES END!

Snake 1: Oh shut up Steve! No one even likes you.

    Snake 2: Yea.

    Snake 3: Aww...

Snake 1: As I was sayi- OH LOOK HES MOVING IN CIRCLES! Quickly! Follow!

  • @littleaprilroses I'm sure someone has already said this, but, Snakes can't hear.

  • @littleaprilroses Too bad snake charmers remove the poison sacs, not the fangs.

  • @littleaprilroses hahahahahhahahhaha i love it

  • @littleaprilroses its clear you know nothing most snakes do not get fangs ripped out in india its usually in pakistan or sri lanka. Snakes are basically deaf and cannot hear. Snakes dont dance they sway with movement.

  • The snakes are defanged, but whodefanged them?!!!

  • This is amazing! I think they are trying to bite him out of a natural instinct. Obviously he feeds them and cares for them. They are probably used to being handled. Snakes can feel noise and follow movements rather than hear tones as like we do. They see more in the Infrared range than in the visible light spectrum.

  • @jerryg50

These snakes have a short life span- Most snake charmers don't feed there snakes and some sew the mouths shut. Much easier to find new snakes than to bother feeding or taking care of them.

  • wow is that even true

  • his leg looks like his penis

  • Snakes can't hear well so the snake is only following the movement of the insturment

  • i wonder how many times they spit at or bit him before he fully trained the snakes.

  • funny thing is he took out the fangs in the snakes!!!

  • snakes cant hear very well so they are just following your instument swaying back and forth its not charming you retard!

  • he's super quick on the reflexes.

  • my god...look at his knees

  • snake charmers break their teeth guys :( its sad

  • honestly, snakecharming is a problem for environmentalists, the snakes teeth are ripped out so they do not inject and in time, they die quickly.

  • @empireravenshadow5 these snakes have had thier mouths sewed shut

  • @RedWolfCid

    Then how would they eat?

  • It's called circular breathing.

  • The snake is not really being charmed. The reason why the snakes do not attack the charmer because when the charmer sways his flute (if you notice) the snake thinks the moving object, or in this case the flute or charmers hands, is either prey or a predator so it follows the swaying movement to protect it's self or to know when to strike. when the snakes see the charmer sway the flute or his hands the snake never wants an open spot to be attacked on its body. Snake charmers are not magical. NTG

  • they get they fangs dubbed or sumthing

  • wow , awsome

whats is the instrument that he used ?

  • @bouggi123 Its called the punjab kalamti flute

  • hahahaha, just put them in without playing

  • I honestly don't know what i could say about what the hell i just saw..xD

  • He is the best Snake charmer so far on you tube!!

  • is he still alive & well? If anyone know let me know.

  • @maxinpains

Most likely; the snakes are generally defanged

  • @Commonwealth96

Do you know how do they defang infomatins on on internet?

  • You guys gotta admit, regardless of whether it was fanged or defanged......this guy had pretty big cajones to do that. I wouldn't even go 60 feet near an Indian king cobra let alone a snake.

  • Contrary to popular belief, the snakes are not responding to the music but rather the movements and gyrations of the charmers body and hand! it is very interesting!

  • You guys might think it's cool but i hate it the cut the snakes fangs so they don't get hit with venom so for that when snake or cobra or any type of snake gets defanged the snake dies in a matter of hours sad me a 13 year old has to tell u this

  • @imsorandom72 fuck cobra they would kill you too

  • wow amazing i've always read about it when i was small but it's the first time i see it.

  • Hahah I think snake charming is just slapping a theme song on what cobras do best, viciously strike you!! Lol

  • snakes do not have ears.. if he stops movin that flute like thing, snakes woudnt give a shit abt him

  • DANG!.....these snake charmers must have really GOOD reflex to avoid getting bitten by these snakes lol

  • I sure hope those snakes were de-fanged !

  • FUCK YOU GUYS, im a prfessional snake charmer

  • @nunswithguns555 i would hate to burst your bubble but snake charmeing is moving a part of ur hand or moving ur instrument to atract the cobras attention it dosent take a rocket scientist to do that but considaring that there dedly animals im asuming it would take an idiot to play with fire and if the cobras have no teeth or venome its called cheating or frod i there way i think its a dumb profesion neat to watch but no difrent than watching a fat guy fall down stairs btch slap of reality =p

  • @nunswithguns555 Oh yeah? I'm a professional snake. Suck on that :P

  • quel idiot ce mec !!!

  • tunnel snakes rule!

  • @roockowacko ahhh fallout 3 i reamember it like it was yesterday kuz thats when i made my new toonxD

  • haha so cute

  • its the movement of the flute, not the music. and most charmers remove their snakes fangs, kinda takes the fun out of it, but still cool to watch.

  • I hope that whoever filmed this tipped the guy at least 20 bucks U.S. $ , he totally deserved it .

  • Is snake charming confusing the shit of snakes so they don't kill you?

  • @Goose461 actually it pisses them the hell off LOL!! the will kill u if ur not careful hahahaahahaah!!

  • holy moly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!that guy is CRAZY! i wood b dead the 1st second of it!lol...he's awsome!

  • Snakes are not deaf. Snakes 'hear' through vibrations internally. Don't know where some get their myths from.. ahem.

  • These people are bad.. they rip the snakes fangs out and make movements so the snake follows the flute. Snakes are deaf. so they cant even hear the music.. and they often get infected in the wonds after the teeth so they die from it. Thumbs up so people know.

  • @TheSnakeIdiot

who gives a fuck about those snakes,

    they're useless creatures in india

  • @SG02JATT Oh fuck no!! If there was no snakes in India there would be mice eating all the grain your making food from. and the mice would also eat all of YOUR food.. I have experienced.. Trust me. This is true but it is legal to kill the snakes when they enter your house.

  • @TheSnakeIdiot

LOL MICE WOULD EAT THE GRAIN are you fucking stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

have u been to india before, we have mice there but barely any snakes because we kill them all. Mice dont affect crops significantly there. Pesticides are poison to them and kill plenty of them off. Stop repeating stupid shit you learn in grade 8 science class you dumbfuck.

  • @TheSnakeIdiot i don't think anyone has the luxury of being an animal rights activist in india. he's doing whatever is neccesary for him to make enough money to survive. even if it means charming snakes in the streets. would YOU want to "charm" deadly snakes for a living? i would remove the fangs not only for myself, but for my audience as well.

as much as i would want to save the animals life, it shouldnt be at the cost of human life.

  • @crazitaco Lawl, do you see him getting payed here? He would get more cash from SAVING them. Serial.

  • I hope everyone knows the snakes can't hear. all snakes are deaf, so they're whatching the mans movments

  • Snakes cant hear but they can feel air pressure changes. so while they dont hear sound, in reality their way of "hearing" isnt that much different than ours.

  • This is just animal abuse. Even if it is snakes.

  • @TubeScrewed How?

  • how do they even hear the music there conpletely deaf !!!

  • now THAT's an artiste...

Shame that we Bhaarathas cannot appreciate the cultural heritage our Holy Land has bequeathed us...

  • guys, snakes cant hear :P dur the man is moving the instrument and the snake just follows the movements of the flute thing :P but if you understand thats haw they do it.

  • Funny, I think I saw this exact same snake charmer in Kerala. I'm pretty sure that is the same spot too. There should be an alley leading to the sea to the left of it.

  • @arisechicken82 I've been composing a story involving something rather strange: An alien planet of reptiles, complete with REAL Dinosaurs! There's this green and black, Non-earth Cobra, that is intelligent enough to speak. It gets weirder when a voice draws me to a temple with the Hindu gods in person, with an immortalized Buddha.

Don't call me crazy, or that I'm on drugs. I'm not! This is just something I do for kicks.

  • poor snakes:(

  • talk about star search'

  • doesn't he know that snakes can't hear airborne sounds?

  • it's called circular breathing technique ...

  • Since the snakes are trying to kill him I am not sure how well they are being charmed.

  • @robotpanda77 the lips of the snake have bean sewn up

  • @flash51050 That's another common way to do it, cruel if you ask me. Cutting the fangs off is harmless if done carefully and doesn't harm the snake in the long term. Sewing up its mouth is sign of a lazy snakecharmer because it kills the snake within a week and requires he go buy or catch new cobras all the time. New snakes with sewn mouths put on a very unpredictable and lackluster performance and are often in too much pain to come out of their baskets.

  • @robotpanda77 They use trained cobras, usually defanged as well, because as you see, it's not 100% every time.

A cobra's natural instinct when pulled out of darkness into light and having a flute waved in circles in front of its face is to puff up, assume a defensive posture and stand still. It assumes the moving flute is the risk so it doesn't flee or strike at the charmer.

He didn't seem to be doing very good at the last part. But again, it's a performance art, not a science.

  • @robotpanda77 They aren't killing him, so he's doing something right.

  • @KydDragon

thats because their poison was taken out u bitchboy

  • @duertoadr So yeah, he IS doing something right.

  • @KydDragon

what exactly? he probably didnt even remove their poison by himself... its like sitting around with 4 ants before u and try to fight them with a rocketlauncher

  • @robotpanda77 l0l0l0l, True.

  • @robotpanda77 lmao

  • He just took its fangs and it will die after 40 days or if it still has the pioson He wouldnt touch it he will change town if it was pioson he s tricking people so they give him money so he can scare the cobra away + he sucks at singing .

  • I was waiting for the moment for his head to be bitten off. So many dreams, so little in common with reality.

  • I would never do such a job...in my life...Afterwards? Who knows?

  • stupid fucker !

  • does he ever breathe?

  • @fartnox Prolz knows circular breathing.

  • @fartnox

I believe it's the art of circular breathing. If you train yourself well enough, you can breathe in through your nose and out through you mouth at the same time.

  • @fartnox you know you can breathe through your nose too right?

  • @fartnox circular breathing. google it

  • @fartnox it's called circular breathing

  • @fartnox it's called circular breathing.

  • @fartnox ikr

  • @fartnox circular breathing ;D badass, huh? xD

  • @DastodlichKaninchen Circular breathing? o.o

  • @littleaprilroses it's a technique that allows people to breathe in through their nose while they exhale by their mouth ^^

lots of wind instruments players do this~

  • @fartnox if you watch his mouth he takes breathes

  • lol, looks like 3 radars

  • I would bite him too listening to that crap music.

  • "Snakes Charmers

Although still performed in India, other parts of Asia, and North Africa, snake charming as a profession has declined in recent years because of wildlife protection laws and broader public knowledge about the reptiles. Snakes kept by charmers may have their teeth removed, venom ducts burst, and mouths sewn shut. ... snakes are virtually deaf."

    soucer: National Geographic´s website

  • can't imagin the even snakes like this crap

  • Wow that guy is so epic! I hope to see a snake charmer when I go to India next summer!!!

  • its actually just following the flute. Not charming or dancing.

  • Did you know? He technically doesn't even have to play that stupid instrument to charm the snake. All he needs to do is make a few vibrations, then gently sway his hand back and forth to charm the snake.

  • all 3 looks very beatiful in screen i hope didnt see one in my home

  • I would totally let that guy charm my snake!

  • @CTCAC2000 Eww, he's ugly.

  • Sick!

  • This is bullshit....another stupid human trick to try and make money from the abuse and torture of animals. They defang the snakes so they are harmless....wow...impressive. Giving money to guys like this just supports them to continue taking snakes out of the wild.
