I first heard this song when i was a kid in Kenya. I was a child but my soul was in sync with this song. This song is a prayer that best utters the innermost feelings of emptiness and hunger for God...So many people are spiritually hungry and they turn to drugs, sex, and other people but only God can satisfy that hunger. I can honestly testify to it.

remeber that God is Love. your faith & trust in God should not be based on feelings alone. feelings come & go but the truth prevails. God has chosen you & you belong to Him. keep praying. even if you don't feel any feel-good-tingly-warm-feeling, God is inside you. Pray & believe even if you don't feel like it. I would start out slow so u dont overwhelm ur self get up early & pray just thank him for eveything and ask him 2 forgive ur sins. well, Svanlin, I think I know what your talking about. First it could be one of the dry times. The periods in the desert where you don't feel God near or at all. One thing you need to do is just keep hanging on. Don't give up. What's God's been speaking to me lately is about waiting on him. Sometimes he hides himself to make us grow. We need to set aside times to pray and seek him. He will come the bible promises this. Be sure to check your life to see if any sin is between you and God.

psalm 40:1 25:21, 130:5-6, 62:5, 37:7

Lamentations 3: 24--33

Isaiah 30:18, 33:2, 40:31

Hosea 12:6

Acts 1:4

Habakkuk 2:3

You don't have to use all of them but there are some good ones in there. If you get stuck for stuff to pray for just pray these verses to the Lord. I really hope this helps
