  • MARIO FTW

  • good

  • Mario!

  • Download please?

  • can u just tell me how much clicks every note blocks need to in don,t get the a b c thing

  • great! now i have to find roflcakez101's comment!

  • no turbo its a tutorial!!

  • ok how about you tell us how many times you hit the block to get the notes

  • My redstone torches on going out : (

  • 1:52 - 2:03 LOL

  • Ty i always wantet to make a song but i didint know how to do it but now i know how thank´s.

  • why does mine go slow D:

  • WOAH way to fast with the notes!

  • i not noting about music can some one please tell me like what notes are like ones you can use use for like the eye of the tiger

  • sax

    tnt

  • sax

  • Thanks to this, I made my own doorbell.

  • Hey, I was making this Mario thingy for my doorbell and it works fine the first few times then after that the first torch doesn't work. I'm doing this on a server so if you want to check it out and help me that would be very much appreciated. PM me for IP

  • 8-bit to mario

  • Turbo...time...My God, a Jingle All the Way reference...

  • I made my own, it's a lot more compact with redstone repeaters...but...if I hold down the button too long or too short the tune skips up.

    idk what happened.

  • it is the mario song

  • @normaximum8 read the coments you fucking dummas

  • the 1911 style youtube thingamajig goes great with this

  • Mario :D

  • When you place the block, what note does it start on? I'm thinking C? And what octave? Thanks :)

  • can you make a video dont time speed up PLSSSSSSSSS

  • that tune sounds like the mario game tune thingy! lol

  • is it okay if i make a video like this an submit it to a minecraft based channel?

  • Comment removed

  • why do you need to put the block on the torch?

  • That sound is from mario!!!

tu du tu du du du

  • My friend is making One from Mettalica now, or at least trying to XD

He asked me not to tell the IP until he's finished, so if you want to see... (:

  • oh no way, that was just awesome, now you need it to play the whole song! lol

  • you made a tune with the fast forward :)

  • This was great, helped out a whole lot, thanks so much! :D

  • whoops.. youtube said "error.. try again" when i tried to post my comment.. so i tried and tried.. and gave up.. just to find out my comment actually got posted.. 4 friggin times... FU youtube -.-

  • @Knaeckebrotsaege Fraps doesn't work with Minecraft.exe. I'm using Camstudio now for recording.

@Oxiigen223 Try Googling "note block". The first result has a diagram.

  • @blahblahblahblha303 weird.. fraps works fine for me (on Win7 Professional x64), but camtasia gave me some strange glitchy problems sometimes (recording the game led to ingame mouse spasms.. ended up turning in cirles all the time as soon as i started recording O.o)

  • @Knaeckebrotsaege I have Win7 Ultimate x64, the Fraps frame counter doesn't appear in the corner in Minecraft.exe.

  • @blahblahblahblha303

did you start fraps before minecraft..? also try running fraps as admin. it writes files to the HDD (the videos.. duh) and that might not work if it's running as non-admin cause windows blocks all attempts by fraps to do so.

that's malware protection crap that causes more problems than it fixes lol

  • I combined this tutorial with @rad4Ri's idea of a repeater instead (takes up more space, but uses less sand and complexity), added on a loop and put it on my channel. No sound though, Hypercam's annoying. It'll be a vid response here when it's done uploading.

  • @blahblahblahblha303 Try Fraps or Camtasia Studio (the Screen Recorder of it) ;)

  • thanks for this awesome tutorial.

  • can you make the gap between the notes longer if so how

  • can you make the gap between notes longer if so how

  • why you make repearters so hard way?

  • @rad4Ri Because it creates a delay.

  • @Misterspork57 umm, repearter with 2 torches makes the same delay

  • Wow there r easier way u knoe

  • lol i made a whole song this way my first try and i legitamitley did not know how to use redstone or did i use a youtube video. i found out myslef

  • This seems like a complicated way to invert the signal. I just use NOT gates, myself. They're reasonably compact, they' simple, and easy to keep track of.

  • @MrTeekay101 hey guy , cann you make a dowenload link from this world in the description???

  • For the people who want to make it loop: you'd need a clock. It's a bit advanced but if you want to make it, look it up. you'd need a slow stable clock.

  • Been looking around for how to put delay in redstone for a while, TYTYTY

    <3

  • Lol, Mario :P

  • you got yourself a like and a sub and fav. ;)

  • TOP DOWN VEW PLEASE!

  • EPIC AWESOMENESS! :D

  • Mario :D

  • Mario xD

  • are you a wizard ?

  • @RyanNewell122 are you a wizard?

  • @C3lticlord Yeah I am a wizard :P

  • I put up 6 blocks and gave them the notes C, A, B♭,C, A, B♭ with the last three higher pitched. But the song is completely wrong :S

  • @Trym1994 C, C, A, A, B♭, B♭

  • @MrTeekay101 IS there anyway you could match the colors with the notes for me? I have no clue when it comes to music, and I would really appreciate it if you could do that.

  • what video editing program did you use and what bitrate did u use?

  • @EC17MEISTER Premiere Pro, and it has built in presets. I modified the MP4 720p YouTube preset for 1080p instead and increased the bitrates just a tad

  • And then came the minecraft rickroll

  • dude

you could make a clock circuit (five 5 inverters looped together) make the song circuit and attach it to the clock. then it would repeat. if ur song is longer than five notes then make the loop longer

make sure ur song is an odd number of notes though

clocks only work if u have an odd number

this is a theory so don't expect it to work perfectly as i say

this is just an idea for u ppl that wat to know how to loop. if u don't really understand me then go and research redstone circuits

  • DUDE AWESOME!! :D

  • you know what this reminds me of? back in the day when people had computers that took up whole rooms and preformed simple tasks

  • tutorial please!

  • ;D

  • i made this whole thing under my room as u walk in it plays thank you for guide only thing i can say is the hyper speed parts where hard to trace but i figured it out good vid

  • i made a vid that had half of the song, then i hit the wrong button and the map exploded with tnt

  • i was soo expecting that there would be a third click wich it randomly changed to the next little darker tune

  • dude at 2:06 thats the same sound as the Mario game theme

  • @RoflCakez101 That was the idea :)

  • @RoflCakez101

ahah, wow you're good, you found it ;)

  • @RoflCakez101 Captain Fucking Obvious! O.o

  • @RoflCakez101 fail

  • @RoflCakez101 -______-

    idiot

  • @RoflCakez101 it does sound like that

  • The problem with this is that it takes soo much space for all the redstone circuits.

  • Show me what colours the blocks are i wanna do the same please!

  • @XmonirX Pure red is the first colour. The notes have been added to the description

  • @MrTeekay101 No, he wanted to know WHAT you tuned each block to, not HOW you tuned each block... and he's not the only one :p

  • tumbs if the tune made you tink of mario

  • You know that block you said was unnecessary in the delay circuit? That top torch is supposed to be attached to it. The one you made is just working as a repeater.

  • Lol, underground theme ^^

  • what did you tune each block to?

  • amazing work

  • AWSOME!!!

  • @Wolf202Videos I think i know how, just connect the last output to the input, and when u click the button it should loop forever.

  • Lol.. i don't think you need to put the redstone torch and the block above it o.o

  • haha mario

  • I see it coming this things will be the next mario paint remixes

  • Thumbs up if the minecraft wiki sent you here!

  • That's actually pretty cool.

  • @MrTeekay101 Is there a way to make the music continously loop? I'm horrible at redstone and been trying to figure out how.

  • @Wolf202Videos I would assume if you split the button's wire into a giant loop of repeaters you could delay it long enough to start again right at the end of the song. There's probably a much easier way I'm just suggesting the first one that came to mind.

  • @Wolf202Videos

If the wiki's any indicator, I don't think so. But I wouldn't know. Maybe you could use some kind of redstone magic to make the circuit loop back around in a non-continuous current. If one can do that, then maybe you can make a loop.

  • @Wolf202Videos Yes there is, look on kiershar's channel for the clock and delay video and see how the circuits will continuously look

  • @Wolf202Videos

Connect the wire that comes out of your last delayer (last note), and connect it to the input of your first delayer

  • @Wolf202Videos

Yeah but it would loop to fast.

But it just might work if you would build a huge machine just to delay the signal.

  • @Wolf202Videos repeater switch

  • @Wolf202Videos yes just do a clock so when its all way around it starts again, its simple but hard to explain, maybe 5clock will give you and idea of how it works, search for it on wiki

  • @Wolf202Videos Clock generators

  • Comment removed

  • @DSBrekus or just connect the last redstone to the first via a repeater...

  • @Stormx2 Yeah tis true, removed the comment. I hadn't spent much time thinking about it yet and it was the obvious stupid brute force approach, was waiting for someone to call me out on it actually :P

I have seen some example of interesting set ups since like triggering it with a button and it looping as long as a switch is on. Could do it with just the button if it used a T-flip flop, the output of which is connected to an and gate so it determines whether the next loop happens or not.

  • @Wolf202Videos i think the lever makes it loop.

  • @Wolf202Videos if you build a circuit of torches that only go one way, and make sure they are not a parity, they will start and stop every now and then, and send a signal to you doorbell.

  • @Wolf202Videos Make a redstone clock (generator), 15- clock works great, look up on the minecraft wiki on how to make clocks.

  • @Wolf202Videos Look up how to make a 5-clock.

  • @Wolf202Videos yo make the last delay lead into the start buttons lead...continous

  • @Wolf202Videos you can use a delayed pulsar to create a loop. Just make sure you delay the signal long enough for the first song to finish

  • @Wolf202Videos Yes by looping the cirquit like a clock, I dunno how to turn it off though (without breaking some redstone wire)

  • @Mysteria9

I saw a a tutorial on that. It is possible by putting a lever on the block under one of the redstone torches. Makes that torch go out and breaks the loop.

  • @JezzlyJames Ah, thank you very much!

  • @Mysteria9 Just create a switch circuit that powers the looping circuit on or off, it's very simple, and can likely be done by just having a switch attached to some redstone that leads somewhere in the looping circuit. Turning it on/off will enable or disable the loop.

  • @veget00tegev Thanks a lot! =D

  • can't wait to see someone create entire mario theme with this :P

  • EPIC!!!!!!

  • Keeeeeeeeeeeeewl, tiem for me to make a door bell :D

  • what did you use to record minecraft for youtube?

  • @bladedbird fraps

  • is it necessary to put redstone torches at both the side and top?

  • @sodasodahero I honestly don't know... I copied the circuit diagram for Delay Circuits on the wiki. I haven't had time to play around.

  • @MrTeekay101 I tried doing this same thing now even on 1.2_01 update, and I think the extra torches and that one block at top are necessary for the right timing. Or at least for this tune.

  • @MrTeekay101 Simple, you copied it wrong :S. That torch on top should be against the wall :) It only really changes your tempo by 1 tick so its not a big difference.

  • @DarkLink6590 Ahh! It all makes sense now. Thanks for letting me know

  • Thats FUCKING epic. I had no idea it was gunna be that awesome >.>

  • awesome doorbell. now ppl are going to have to build huge basements just for their doorbell or background music

  • @dragonmasterjg I know, right? XD I've got big plans for mine. Also good job on the video :D
