IMHO I don't think they'd make a good pairing. I like the relationship they have in the books. It's not quite father-daughter, but Dustfinger takes care of her and looks after her, especially in the second book. And I LOVE the scene in the first book where he gives her the fire show. I like the relationship better as platonic, however. That's just my opinion though. ;)

It just surprises me that you say you've read them 100 times and you never noticed all the mentions of situations like this. It's reference with Meggie and with the Adderhead's wife. Age difference was common in the middle ages when you could be married off to someone at 12, and it's no different in Inkworld, as Violante can attest.
