  • Skill level: Asian

  • Oh Hey!

  • One of the most underrated driver ever!

  • What a drift god!

  • Give him a Red Bull, or a McLaren, or a Ferrari, PLEASE!

  • drift? :D

  • He got a incridible car control. He makes me remember Gilles. I hope someday they give him a champion car.

  • near of being world champion, ouch...

  • if he ever got in a good car he would be legendary... like Capeta all he needs is good equipment to be unstopable

  • What can i say? he's japanese!

  • I did the same thing on f1 2011 earlier!

  • Drifting level : Asian :D

  • Balls. Big brass ones.

  • i will never tyre of watching that drift :D

  • gymkhana style

  • some say there should be an extra point in GP's for the driver that does the fastest lap of the GP... I say there also should be also one extra point for the most awesome driving!

  • かっちょいーー

  • the Japanese chick has a small but a great ability

  • new pants for mr peter sauber, please!

  • channeling the tsuchiya spirit there :D

  • It was like 3 small drifts in one, sweeeet.

  • It was first called the Quebec wall. The irony was the cars where crashing on a giant ''welcome to Quebec, sign''. And it was always full of tire marks, with bits missing

  • I do this often unintentionally at xbox!!! I m proud when I do it....

  • @j27alencar cool story bro

  • Bet his had an arsehole like a cat's nose during that

  • One of the highlights of 2011

  • Not yet Kobayashi, that wall is reserved for World Champions Only.

  • @Spectual1 He has hit the wall...Future World Champion, definitely.

  • @nitroboost8765

man you have some bad eyes - you can clearly see that he DOES NOT hit the wall...

  • @BCandCCK177 Oh dear god, I know that he didn't hit the wall on this occasion, he had done so a year before!

  • 1 person don't know what Kobayashi is all about...

  • Like a BOSS !!! ;D

  • I'm sure you're not supposed to be able to drift F1 cars.

  • Here you can see: He's not a champion

  • come on, he's japanese, expect anything else?

  • @i11k1lly0u a barrel roll over the curb

  • This is why I love him!

  • D1 drifting pro

  • japanese for god's sake..

  • if he had done this in japan, the crowd would have gone mental

  • 100 Points

  • cant wait to see this guy in a good car/team he will be awesome

  • the Japanese are masters of drifting.

  • That was great slide through the corner, but I bet he was like "damm i shitted my pants, that was close ;)" Wall of Champions ;]

  • Tokyo Drift style.

  • He got the nature in controlling a car too well....which allow him to break in any point to overtake others!!!

  • PERFECT DRIFT =D

  • it really is called the wall of champions. vettel crshed into it.

  • and he is doing that at some miles per hour. Only in F1

  • So this is a Tokyo drift?

    lol.

  • What a save, awesome drive there. Fuck yeah Japan!! =D

  • This is possibly my moment of 2011... great stuff from Kamui!!

  • Now that's car control. So hard to stop an F1 car from swapping ends if you keep your foot in when sliding

  • Tokyo drift ;)

  • tokyo style!

  • The Japanese in motor-sports are brilliant, it doesn't get better than talent and a kamikaze attitude.

  • @55DJL but japanese in f1 dont mix. Kamui is fabulous but lets not forget the likes of people like yugi ide that wernt only bad. But sucked oh so very hard!

  • no way lewis is a kafer and doesnot deserv f1, kobayashi is amazing put him in a red bull and hell kill

  • @Olickolevkov07 Lewis deserves F1, calling him a kaffir is just plain racist...Kobayashi will be a champion though.

  • Kobayashi will be a champion, if a decent team like ferrari uses theur brains to realise that massa is longer any good.

  • Real champions drift ´round the wall of champions !!!

  • Of course he can Drift....he´s japanese

  • TOKYOO DRIIIIIIFFT!!!!

  • Boot Massa to test driver and put this guy in driver seat 2 for Ferrari with Alonso.

  • @MrStig691 Agree! I had that in mind too :D

  • @MrStig691 they won't, they're afraid that Kobayashi may end up being better than Alonso & they don't want him to act like he did when hamilton outdid him in 2007, when he was driving with mclaren

  • @thnk4urself Oh dear you're right, that was painful. It would end up with Alonso this time spinning Ferrari in another FIA incident.

  • my main man kamui showing the champions how its done

  • if this man got 'mexico' in rainbow off of his car and puts RBR on it, he WILL win a DWC

  • get this man in a ferrari!

  • And that is why I love Kamui Kobayashi!

  • Encontrei o Drift King :p

  • entertaining driver but sadly not quite quick enough.

  • look impressive but this actually makes him slower

  • Kobayashi --> Scuderia Ferrari

    Perez --> no way Jose

  • why did he take that spot @ sauber again? why wasn't he offered a better drive from a higher up team? force india and renault ok fair enougth they have too many drivers and only 2 seats. Merc have no such excuse. Ferrari and red bull both are tugging along massa and webber. Massa is nothing near the top five. Webber is nothing near his team mate. For mclaren i say fine with their line up. For hammy's fewer race finishes they both won races. for me i want

    Massa out

    Kamui in.

  • @coolL9457 He's not doing well against a rookie (pay)driver Perez though. Has got outqualified by him 9-6 (when they both set a time) and had Perez not missed the Monaco and Montreal GP's he might have more points than him aswell.

For a driver outside top 15 in GP2 he has been impressive in F1 - up until this season.

  • FAST N FURIOUSSSSS DRIFT DRIFT DRIFT

  • Put that man in a better car for the sake of f1, the rules are making it worse every season as it is.

  • its called the wall of champions cuz even the champions crash into it, kamui just calmly even drifts his way around, right there you can spot his incredible talent

  • he is one of the good drivers with crap car -.-

  • I honestly believe he would give Vettel a run for his money in a competent car

  • bravoooo Kobayashi :)

  • Fantastic driver, mediocre car.

  • Ngl i was loving this

  • Yo Dawg, this aint Tokyo Drift.

  • he knew he is not a champion yet so decided not to go in to the wall

  • You can't drift a car around the Wall of Champions, that would include going through the fence into the crowd.

    It's "the last corner" :P

Kobayashi FTW. Best new driver in F1 apart from Perez.

    Adds lots to the sport.

  • That was just unbelievable.

  • That's great car control, give these man a Ferrari seat

  • Super Sauber Sliding!!!

  • Yup, the tyres are Pi-ridiculous P Zero grip.

Makes the driver a sitting duck.

  • This wasn't at the "Wall of Champions" corner.

  • @duncanvx220 It was 10000% at the Wall of champions

  • @duncanvx220 the last corner at canada is the wall of champions. thats why its the wall of champions. schuey, button, vettel, hill, villenueve have all crashed there which is why it is called the wall of champions

  • If there was REAL racing without DRS/Kers/Ridiculous tyres - Kobayashi would be a king. His raw talent plus bravery is breathtaking.

  • @IrishRu5T Agree to that. I would love to see him at mclaren !

  • @IrishRu5T

I think Kobayashi profits most of any drivers, if we talk about DRS and Kers. Kobayashi is not a great qualifier, but he counterbalances this with the brave racing.

  • @IrishRu5T DRS and KERS only affect the cars on the straights and there is nothing wrong with the Pirelli slicks. The only thing holding Kobayashi back is a slow car.

  • @berserkerx7 Yes, pushing a button is real racing. Definetely......

  • @IrishRu5T hamilton would own him

  • @steflotti105 yeah.....McLaren vs Sauber, fair fight right there. Considering Button is whipping 'Hammy' , I think he should at least by challenging his team-mate before people start saying he would ''own'' other drivers in the 2nd best car on the grid.

  • @IrishRu5T in the same car lewis would own everybody, note qualy results for the year, hamilton owned jenson, only in races has lewis had bad luck and bullshit stewarding, as well as an emotionally tough year holding him back

  • @steflotti105 no points for qualifying son. Bad luck my whole. Crashing into the back of Massa every hands turn isnt ''bad luck and bullshit stewarding''. Also, if the Hamster is so great he'd still be coming home in 2nd. Great drivers do good in bad cars:Schumacher-Jordan,Vettel-Torro Rosa,Senna,Alonso,Vilneuve.Coming 5th in championship with 2nd best car isnt impressive buddy.Emotional?Once you step inside the car you focus on the racing.Total bullshit more like it

  • @IrishRu5T lol you clearly dont like hamilton, the monaco crash was massa's fault, the indian crash was massa's fault, singapore was the most minor misjudgement possible. everybody is different with their emotions, are you lewis hamilton, no, never will be. he clearly wears his heart on his sleeve and that doesnt just go away cus your sat in a race car. you watch, next year, jenson wont even get a look in

  • @steflotti105 everyones entititled to their opinion. I think he's over-rated, was good in one season but has been average since. The ''Senna'' remarks and just whinging is what annoys me, not crashing. I mean, we all love Sato and Nakajima RIGHT?!

  • @steflotti105 you are a fucking prick, Kobayashi would cream everybody. you are just some fuck wit noob who knows nothing about f1.

  • @Class390Freek lol really? when has kamui shown blistering speed? if he was so good he'd of battered perez all year and put that car in places it shouldnt have been.. i guarentee i know more about f1, every aspect of it, than you do

  • @steflotti105 thats a nooby reply. If Kobayayshi was Lewis's teammate he would smash him. This years Sauber was an absolute mess and Kamui did well to come 6th in the Canadian Grand Prix and 7th in the Monaco Grand Prix. And he said he was not used to being the number 1 driver as it was his first time. You know shit about F1, you probably dont even know what it means

  • @Class390Freek lol yeah right, thats why lewis has smashed every team mate he's ever had, in ever series he's even driven in. have u not seen his record? won a championship every 2nd year untill F1 when mclaren have been unable to deliver, kamui is all hype with no substance, yeah he can overtake, but thats about it

  • @steflotti105 Vettel is better than Hamilton no excuses there. Jenson is better than Hamilton, Raikkonen is better than Hamilton and Kamui Kobayashi is better than Hamilton. If Lewis was any good he wouldn't of spun Webber and not crashed any other times this season that he did and not kept hitting Felipe. BTW Kovalainen was a shit teammate and was not ready for a big move although he did for well Team Lotus who now become Caterham.

  • @Class390Freek lol yeah right, we'll see when the real lewis comes back again next year

  • @steflotti105 yeah well i don't think so. Jenson is better

  • @steflotti105 "yeah he can overtake, but thats about it"

You seem to be trying to make it sound like a bad thing. lol'd

  • @BloodMagex no its a good thing, he actually hasnt been doin much overtakin this year from what i recall having watched every single race live.

  • @steflotti105 Lewis is a champion, Kobayashi isn't yet. Wait a few years, he will prove himself a distinguished overtaker and definite champion material...Hammy is very good, but Kobayashi is a rising star.

  • @nitroboost8765 hmm i cant see it myself. he either needs to completely dominate Perez or he'll be out the door at the end of 2012

  • @steflotti105 It's his lacklustre qualifying pace...Then again, that isn't too important, Kamui comfortably outscored all of his team mates, while Jenson beat Lewis this year despite Lewis outqualifying him consistently

  • @nitroboost8765 lewis had a shit year, thats for sure, im confident he'll be back to his team mate dominace as of 2012. qualifying is important, if kamui keeps puttin himself in a more difficult position than necessary, the team arent goin to be too pleased as he should be doing even better on race day too

  • @steflotti105 Well, Kobayashi has undeniable talent, and he certainly has outshone Perez in his impressive rookie season...It would be a great pity if he doesn't get a chance to prove himself in a better car...Anyway, I'm certain Lewis will redeem himself next season by crushing Jenson too, he's an allround better driver, allthough many will disagree.

  • @nitroboost8765 I agree, Button is a great and consistent driver but Hamilton is much more talented and fast. once shit works out Hamilton will be on top. He's almost definitely the fastest/best driver in F1, Vettel is good but I bet Hamilton's faster, & they're both probably faster than alonso

  • @thnk4urself Yeah, I find it stupid that they say Jenson's a better driver just because he beat Lewis this season, Hammy absolutely dominated him last season, and it was just a series of stupid mistakes that cost him 2nd place...Anyway, he seemed more relaxed in the final two races of the year, that's the approach he should take onboard for next season.

  • @IrishRu5T Drivers have to learn to use what their given.

  • This man is a precious treasure that must be kept in Formula 1 for at least 15 more years at all costs!

  • Showing the drifters Ebisu how it's done.

  • Japanese were born to drift :D lol

  • I love that guy.

  • I want Kobayashi to be a top team driver in 2013.

SauberC30 is too slow for him to drive!!!!!!

  • man those cars are ugly

  • I'd Love to see Alonso kicked out of Ferrari and replaced By Kobayashi, Ferrari drfted to victory by Kamui

  • @hypersaiyangoku you mean kick out Massa

  • @Arai4lpinestars No Alonso, all he does is mope and cry.

Alonsois the worst team-mate for anyone. he's doing to Massa what he did to Fissicalla screwed them over.

Let's just wait. there's a chance Massa could be faster then Alonso next year if he as luck on his side

  • like in the good old f1 days...

  • I'm not going to reach out and say if he has a competetive car he will win a world champion ship but I would love to see what he will be able to do with a good ride.

  • That man deserves a drive in a decent car! NOW!!

  • que control joder el japones si que sabe xD

  • Shame he is worse than the previous season this year....the car has been a pile of shit, but he is an ace drive.

  • IN FERRARI NOW.

  • im sorry but kobayshi has to drift a whole lap of japan next week

  • maybe that just tells us his not gonna be a world champion??

  • @keytek9 He crashed there last year if you recall, so he will be champion.

  • bloody great car control

  • Has anyone tried his powerslide in F1 2011 PS3?

  • Some amazing overtaking by Kobayashi

    videa.hu/videok/jarmuvek/kobayashi-a-visszaforditoban-auto-barrichello-buemi-z9wuWsm7abwzPMUm

  • Japs and drift =1

  • he will be a world champ one day

  • haha legend

  • hes japanese hes got drifting in his blood.

  • expact any less than a japan guy ? :D

  • 21 seconds of pure awesome

  • hes japanese, ofcourse he can drift

  • Lol I think he was watching Tokyo drift before the race.

  • Kamui is an epic driver.. He makes Formula One look like Formula Drift.

  • best driver ever, kamui is epic

  • I wonder if you know how we do it in Tokyo.... LIKE THIS!!!

  • Tokio Drift ;)

  • Kamui Kobayashi needs a better car for the sake of his career.

  • @MickIAC2010 He will drive for Ferrari after Massa leaves.

  • @miles2057 Did you just make that up on the spot? Rumor has it that Hamalton is coming. Kobayashi is not coming to Ferarri.

  • @Ixdriftz I think I heard that recently. Not sure how true it is. It is the season now when there is talk of drivers going here and there.

What I actually meant to say is there is a good chance that Sergio Perez will drive for Ferrari after Massa leaves. He is part of Ferrari's young drivers programme now.He has big money behind him + the support of the world's richest man, also a Mexican.

I read this in Nov issue of Australia's F1 Racing magazine.

  • @miles2057 I heard Perez was being considered too.

  • @Ixdriftz It's a sad rumor, money over talent again. Kobayashi must keep shinning in 2012.

  • @miles2057 Perez will definitely replace Felipe Massa.

Felipe has a contract for 2012, but he's DEFINITELY out of Ferrari in 2013.

There's no way he's staying, even if he wins 10 races next year, he's still out of Ferrari.

Perez is pretty much the only person worthy of that Ferrari seat for the future.

  • Unless Robert Kubica's contract with Renault ends at the end of 2012

Then it's Perez or Kubica for Ferrari #2.

No other drivers will even be considered TBH.

  • @MickIAC2010 Lol "sake". Japanese rice wine. :P Just sayin'.

  • @MickIAC2010 its annoying, hes at sauber again next year >:(

  • fucking amazing

  • As Martin said - "Thats why the fans love Kamui Kobayashi!". Enough said there.

  • just watched videos of him go karting when he was a kid and now looking at this, just makes me think, he deserved getting to where he is now

  • Kobayashi is different than all Japanese drivers who came to F1. He is actually GOOD racing driver and he has a bright future as long as he goes to a more competitive team!

  • @75NZ Thumbs up to that - I think he will show that Japanese drivers are as good as anyone else.
