Haha... I really liked this battle, really good example of how Smogon and its tiers can suck it. It's just a shame that so many people follow it verbatim and don't try to think outside the box... But then there's people like you, so the world makes sense again haha!
that was an incredibal ending with explosion KOing Dialga. this is just for future refrences if u know the main startigy with Porygon-Z and ur facing dialga dialaga will get owned
That was absolutely brutal. That's my favorite thing about competitive; seeing my team work exactly the way that it's supposed to and then eviscerating everything. Especially when it's UU vs Uber (I'm a huge UU user myself). Spot on with that one.
I'm worried about ghost types and bug types. This team has no response for a tough Dusknoir, Forretress, or Scizor. Palkia and Kingdra can also cause me some serious problems as well as Metagross and especially Bronzong.
Poliwrath is the only team member with a ground-type move and nobody on the team can learn a useful dark-type move. Vaporeon can learn shadow ball. Zapdos can learn ominous wind, but I'd have to give up rain dance or detect.
Had you mentioned that, I would have commented differently, lol. Kingdra would be a good Pokémon to add. I would replace Zapdos to be honest. Your Ground-type weaknesses will easily be covered by your Water-type Pokémon. Scizor and co. won't come in on Rain Dance teams too often so don't worry about them. Dusknoir may be a problem, but since most are TRers and Walls, I recommend have a Taunter.
Gyarados (big electric weakness could be a problem)
Qwilfish (I'd have to give up rain dance)
Sharpedo (defenses made of glass)
Toxicroak (I can't stand looking at it)
But given the number of water moves on this team, Qwilfish can learn taunt and give up rain dance, while Poliwrath gives up waterfall and learns rain dance to replace Qwilfish's rain dance.
I agree, an abundance of Water-type moves is not all that great; even on a Rain Dance team it's too much. I would personally add Toxicroak or Sharpedo. The rest of the team should stay as it is. Sharpedo can be given a Focus Sash and Aqua Jet. Toxicroak can also use Fake Out which is another plus. It's really up to you. Quilfish's plan seems good. If you have Waterfall on it, replace Taunt with that instead of Rain Dance.
Quilfish's attack is better than Poliwrath's and so is Quilfish's speed. Poliwrath is a middle-weight tank with diverse type coverage. I see what you're talking about, but I'm going to go with my original plan. ^_^
But I've realized that Vaporeon doesn't need ice beam. With ice punch on Poliwrath, Zapdos with air cutter, and Parasect with X-scissor, grass types have plenty to be scared of. I'll teach Vaporeon shadow ball in place of ice beam. I should also look at hidden power types.
I was just stating my opinion. There are pros and cons with both of our opinions. I don't see too many cons with your option though. Nothing terrible worth mentioning. ^_^
what happens if your plan fails with your speedy qwilfish and they initiate a trick room? I don't care about speed evs that much cuz they can be reversed with trick room.
The team is awesome; I think it's fine the way it is. I like how you put both Qwilfish and Parasect on your pass; both are often overlooked, but good Pokémon, especially on Rain Dance teams.
I have to admit, I laughed a little when I saw a BUDEW on the opponent's pass. So random.
What about Lanturn? He's there to provide some thunder support along with Zapdos, but would it be more prudent to replace him with a different pokemon? (possibly Kingdra)
Kingdra would be nice if you want more offense. Zapdos wasn't seen here, but if it has Discharge, it would work nicely when paired alongside Lanturn due to the latter's Volt Absorb.
I don't know if it's me, but the audio is rather terrible. Terrible enough for me to want a version 2.
The static and breaking-up usually begins
when you start talking.
That said, what you pulled off here is amazing. I thought you would lose because of the team of legendary Pokemon. Boy was I proven wrong. That last bit with Vaporeon using protect and Qwilfish using explosion to take out Dialga and Darkrai was incredible. I'm not quite sure--is Qwilfish's attack stat maxed out or closed to it?
Yes, Quilfish is Adamant (+Attk / -Sp. Attk) and has 252 EVs in attack.
I'm not sure what you mean about the audio. Can you give some specific times when the audio has too much static? I can't identify any spots that are particularly bad.
Very nice-looking team. Qwilfish especially reigned supreme throughout, but in particular at the end, with that impressive Explosion.
Kingdra is always a good choice for a Rain-based team; I actually use one myself. Or you could opt for Gorebyss, to make a UU suggestion. Though I'm a little hesitant to make suggestions towards replacing Vaporeon, since its kind of like my trademark Pokemon, on my main PBR Pass. XD
haha, u got a DOUBLE-TAP on those ubers!!!

Never thought Explosion is so powerful on a Qwilfish

Reign rhymes with rain.

That's a really cool team. You should keep it as is.

Taunt options:
Gyarados (big electric weakness could be a problem)
Qwilfish (I'd have to give up rain dance)

Toxicroak (I can't stand looking at it)
But given the number of water moves on this team, Qwilfish can learn taunt and give up rain dance, while Poliwrath gives up waterfall and learns rain dance to replace Qwilfish's rain dance.
Not a bad idea...what do you think?

Yes, Zapdos has discharge explicitly for taking advantage of volt absorb. Good call!
