  • wow that pc is a ugly mothefcker

  • are yoU stUpit that circle meens its lowding not chrasching dickhead

  • @overlord848 sometimes everloading :P . You know "The everloading story ?". It's loading ...

  • @rmaucigasha then why the fck it never happent to me

  • BSOD never die XD!!!

  • I dont remember my win 7 ever crashed....

  • Excuse me, Pin wheel isn't a chash. It's just a cursor.

  • @EpicMan83 shut up.

  • Linux, Because open source communities are the bomb

  • @wolfxandxspice linux wins by far :D

  • lol

    AHHHHH

  • looks like it was made on a mac!

  • Even your brain will crash when you'll drink to much alcohol :)) Use Calculator will run 4 EVER!! :)))))

  • The thing most people don't realize is the Blue Screen of Death is pretty much always due to hardware problems. If you have the same hardware for a mac and a PC then they will both run great. Pay for the hardware people not the operating system. I got Mac OS X installed on a $200 HP desktop. Nothing special about a mac except its operating system and fancy touch pad. You can always get a Windows desktop with better hardware since a lot of graphics cards and sound cards aren't supported by mac.

  • my windows 7 has never had any problems in months :|

  • thing is when a mac crashes it usualy only crashes that application its only when its finder that crashes is when ur F*** but pc just crash's everything taking it all down with it

  • @bradkal

exactly. and all you have to do is relaunch finder. then back to normal.

  • @bradkal Thats the first time I have ever heard that.. It has been the complete opposite in my experience. I have experience with both Mac OS X and Windows. When windows has a problem you just CTRL+ALT+DEL and end the process of the problem program. When Macs have a problem you generally see the "You need to restart your computer" message. My mac book pro has had that error message a dozen times. My Windows PC has had the blue screen of death zero times.

  • @danpluso so forse quit dident work? restart finder? my first computer was PC I loved it but always got errors and viruses mac only one error which was partitioning... idk

  • @bradkal Well the screen would come up saying "You need to restart your computer" and force quit wouldn't work. Nothing would work as the message says "you need to restart your computer. I have never had a virus on my Windows machine. Spyware is also non-existent on my PC thanks to Spybot search and destroy.

  • @danpluso ahh idk my mac has been good the only time my mac had to restart is when I tryed to Relaunch Finder and thats only once but I dont think I'd ever go back to window unless it was a serious error and happened a few times

  • @bradkal What do you use your mac for? I'm a guitar play and I use both my Windows and Mac to record songs. I have lots of tracks running at once and VST effects turned on so it is quite a load. I can remember most of the crashes while using Garage Band. It seems like the majority of people who love macs are the users who just checks their email and go on Facebook.

  • @danpluso well I dont use my mac for Ilife that much but I like to make movies sometimes but tryed to use garage band its good but I know it can get confusing and all over the place!!

  • @bradkal Garage Band is the easiest Digital Audio Workstation I have ever used. The only thing confusing about it to me is when it crashes my entire mac book pro for no good reason. I now stick with recording on Windows XP using "Reaper" and I have had no problems.

  • @danpluso confusing cos usually when one app crashes it dosent hurt anything else just that app cos when my friend crashed safari like hell I just force quit it and everythings ok I mean I might need to use a different internet browser

  • LOL

  • "Rapid" "a fatal exception..." LOL xD

  • What I have learned from the Mac/PC/Linux commercials so far:

    Mac: Male

    PC: Fat Male

Linux: Attractive and nicely dressed young lady believing in sharing.

  • nonononononononononono, only pc is fat.

  • @avenged7ex rofl

  • This video sucks, kill ya self!

  • this is maybe the only truth in these anti-mac videos.. mac also crashes

  • atleast mac makes a colorful circle pc goes fucking crazy

  • @ITzGhostlyTaco so you woad like a funny spinning circle, than the hard cold truth ?

  • @ITzGhostlyTaco lol, thats true, plus mac does it less

  • AHHHHHHH!

  • Lol i have a Windows 98 since 1994 and it never crashed

  • @BadXFox lie..hahah

  • @BadXFox How can you have windows 98 since 1994? windows 98 came out in '98 and windows 95 came out in '95. So you must have been using 3.1 or something

  • fucking Gnu/Linux , we haven't this kind of things with our distributions... lol

  • god hear that guy scream at the end. Made me laugh

  • @usarocks911 hahahah

  • lol...crapple!

  • @whenretardsattack

    The "I'm a Mac and I'm a PC" spoofs are what's pointless >.>

  • I got to say thats pretty funny

  • xD I get mac color lag swirl the first time I tried to watch this video xD

  • @Hydra12001 its never happened to me, and ive had a mac fr 2yrs

  • Low budget. Low skillz too

  • Heh this video was made on a PC LOL!

  • @supergsx : it was posted in '06.

YouTube was still mostly homebrewed back then. Around '08 and '09 merchants started rolling out software to help make vids more professional looking.

  • mac never does have to restart, and he looked like an idiot macs r cooler than that

  • I did today, twice. Could not turn caps on.

  • Agreed these douchbags are clueless.

  • My friend has had their iMac on for the past 7 months and it runs perfectly as it did when she bought it.

  • and i've had my pc for 6 months and no problems either. so what's your point?

  • @xaviorist theres your problem. she just uses it for facebook and myspace.

  • oh ya they do. I use macs pretty much everyday at work and I have to restart them many times a day. I"m not saying macs suck thought, just that I have to restart macs more than my pc.

  • i never have to restart my shits running always. i got a mac.

  • LOL!

  • you cannot even do the mac wheel right. i get a 10 year old could.

  • I had a windows vista for 2 years and then it got the BSOD every time it restarted

  • LMAO

    AAAAHHHHHH!

  • never had the blue screen on death either, even though I owned a 7 years old pc! =]

  • Yeahhhhh.... Tell that Microsoft, they wont even belief it.

  • bleeh DX it's true

  • hahahaha i never forget u hahahha u such a fool noob (x hahah ur a dickhead!xD!

  • Yeah, i agree. I have a mac. they're very cool :D

  • too fat for being a mac, lol

  • Idiota... Mac´s estão anos luz a frente dos PC´s(hit)...

  • You're either a liar or are very lucky. I use both and have the rainbow wheel that crashes the system about every month or so.

  • XD i love the ARRRRRRRRRGGGHHHH bit and the mac crash isnt a egg X D!!!

  • neither did my win7 o.O

  • @pineapplerulz same!

  • 0:10

    AAARRRGGHHHHHHHHH!@!!!!@@

  • /watch?v=3WC2jZHvgo8&feature=channe

  • Macs play games

    /watch?v=3WC2jZHvgo8&feature=channe

and macs dont freeze. only apps. where as the ENTIRE PC freezes.

  • at least I can play games.... AHHHHH *crash*

  • This is one of the most ... honest and funny things ive seen. Honest becuase both systems have problems with them.

  • i have a pc, ive NEVER had the BSoD

  • Ya me neither

  • same

  • SAME : D !

  • same

  • oh i hate when that rainbow thing happens lol but still have never had to restart.

  • lol

    fucking nerds xD

  • UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

  • hate that shit XD

  • GAAAAAAH

    -bluescreen-

    lulz

  • lol, failzors

  • MAC

    crash diffrent

  • The only time I've needed to restart my Mac was because of updates.

  • Yeah yeah, get over the excitement first.

  • Is it wrong to comment on my experiences with my Mac? I never knew facts like that deserved a thumbs down.

  • and they don't people are just too stupid to ignore it and instead feel obliged to thumb it down. i gave you a thumbs up for you to have only one thumbs down =)

  • Fail. Look how many yours has.

  • those people that r thumbinb down my other comment r just too dumb to realise im promoting pcs and dissing macs.

  • actually the people that are thumbing down your other comment are people that like macs and didn't like your comment (at least i think so because if they didn't then they realy are dumb), so we're not dumb(i also thumbed it down).

  • JeremyMess's video is better!!

  • Actually macs don't need to restart I should know i am typing on the most current modle right now I have been using macs for 5 years now and I have never ben forced to restart any of them.

  • Actually I am using a MAC right now and I am having major problems with it right now. I have to bring it to the Apple store for it to get fixed.

  • yea, because mac's are so hard to fix most computer technicians cant fix them, thats why you have to pay double for repairs

  • @tylerkliewer Or you can have Apple do it for fee.

  • nope, they will find any reason to void the warranty.

  • Yeah I expect that of any company in America.

  • Haha i don't live in America. :)

I don't know what's wrong with restarting. I turn my PC off whenever i'm not using it and don't understand why people want to never turn it off or restart, or why that's something to brag about.

  • Well with my MacBook I never turn it off, all I need to do is lift it open and I can get straight into whatever I wanna do.

  • same here

  • I think they are meaning more like having to restart when you are in the middle of working on something. The computer will lag and crash and you will have to restart it. I just say get a better computer. If a computer is continuing to crash and freeze all the time there is a problem with it that needs to be fixed. My windows PC never crashes on me.. I leave it on all day and turn it off at night. My brothers mac on the other hand will just restart when he is in the middle of working on something

  • funny because my mac (i have a macbook and it's not the pro) has never crashed on me ever even when i do plenty of things at the same time.you're cousin's mac must have a problem or it must be an older version. NOTE: i'm not saying macs are better than pcs

  • It's actually my brother's computer.

He has a Macbook Pro that he bought about a year ago.

The times he experienced the most crashes was when he was using garage band. We are both musicians and would record on his mac using GB because it has such a nice simple learning curve. Some projects would have 20+ tracks. A few times when it crashed it corrupted the data so we had to re-record every track over again. I now refuse to record anything on his mac and only use my computer. And reaper owns GB

  • Damn well should. People with money have all the real "Freedom" here.

  • i have had a pc with windows that has never had to restart either, but it doesnt mean it never happens to other people

  • i got a new imac and that stupid spinning beach ball SUCKs 4 hours sometimes for it to stop... Windows does not do that!

  • Well actually macs get frozen yes, but they don't get to the blue screen of death, wich is as this video shows as painful as the PC guy shows here.

  • Hey, it made me laugh.

  • looks like "macs" hair is sharpied on. lol

  • Comment removed

  • Part 2/2

XFX is new to the motherboard game but have proven themself in the high performace for some time now.

Foxconn is listed as reliable in non-performance section for a reason. Understress or heat, these boards fail. As we all know, macs get hot.

If macs had better hardware, I might consider 1.

    Example:

Asus makes the board, remove the ram cap limits, actual high performance graphics - nvidia 9400 is a laptop/desktops low end.

  • Part 1/2

Now on the PC vs Mac logicboard failure rate.. the ratio of pc to board failure is lower than mac to board failure.

Foxconn sucks, all there is to it. Intel branded boards suck, apple branded boards suck. Both are foxconn.

Now in the PC world, you have many other competators, heres a list of RELIABLE manufactures:

Asus, Gigabyte, DFI, ASrock, XFX,Evga, BFG, Biostar.

Reliable on a non-high performance machine:

MSI, ECS, Foxconn, Jetway, PCchips, Supermicro, Zotac.

  • Insane is more of a correct term than psycho. <-side note

not all winpc boards are from foxconn, AMD simply sells their chips and doesn't produce an AMD branded board. Many PC are AMD these days.

I'm currently contacting apple to get document proof that foxconn makes their logic boards. I have personally seen this my self, but that doesn't seem to be enough for Joan.

Google "foxconn makes Mac logic board"

Youll find more than enough info their.

  • Part 3/3

    Spywell is a fag

  • My best friend bought a mac a couple years back and less than a year later the logic board failed in it. Now her adobe photshop doesn't work.

  • I dont get this bullshit Mac users come up with like "mac never crashes" my Mac crashes at least once every week or so. (It usually crashes on shut down...)

  • which is better for games?

  • have had my mac for over a year and haven't had a problem yet

  • i got problems on my first day of using my one, but thats probably because I'm a dick

  • what i find funny is that now all these 'hipster' kids are all Mac ...thier reasons for being Mac users are only the ones listed in commercials. no mentions of the other function, the design or run-time. I have to say I'm a pc simply because i know the software, i am a fan of freeware so it being pc or mac doesn't affect me and because well simply put its what you do to the comp that makes it good or bad. lol

  • I have a G5 iSight and i have not had any major problems besides Safari thats been a bitch

  • Its funny because the mac loading thing isnt round :P

  • you guys are all nerds. having fights about which computer is better? phhhsshhh. get a mac? more like get a life amirite?

  • i had a mac for like a year, and i bought like 4-5 mac comps within that year, since it would crash all the time... got me real pissed

  • ive had my mac for 18 months and its never ever froze or crashed.

  • I had my mac for 20 minutes. It crashed when I tried installing it's OWN SOFTWARE.

  • Software? What software?

  • You are right. Macs have no software, ha ha ha ha.

Seriously, I tried to Install firefox for mac and it crashed. The same thing for the other applications.

  • They do but usually it's pre-installed. What software were your trying to install?

Yeah, firefox should not freeze your computer. That's a pretty unheard of problem... what did you do about it? Take it to the apple store? I installed firefox on my mac in minutes. Strange...

  • I couldn't be bothered just to go through all that trouble just to install software. So I just sent it back to apple and got my money back.

  • Right...

  • It's true, OSX crashs a lot more than windows.

  • Not according to consumer reports and and computer reviews. Or me when compared to my 3 brothers' windows computers. OSX seldom "crashes." For me personally, it's never crashed.

  • I use both and macs especially furing production have crashed 20 times for every one occurance of my windows vista machines.

BTW, I fix macs and could care less what consumer reports has to say. Anyone willing to hand CR money gets a good rep from them anyways.

The problem with your statement on windows machines is " 3 brothers"

Windows is actually a ton more stable and secure than OSX, its just the 3rd party drivers and little brothers that bring it down.

  • 20 times? You're either lying or you really fucked something up. I'm in film school and all my new friends are mac users. I never knew a mac-user before college except for one of my high school teachers. Anyway, I've never known one to crash. I saw one freeze once and the pinwheel displayed for a few seconds but it eventually unfroze. That's the worst I've seen but the macs of my friends & I run perfectly. My youngest brother is 14. They aren't little kids. How is windows more secure than OS x?

  • I am a digital media specialist, I work on both OSX and xp/vista with the whole adobe and the apple production suite.

My instructor who is credited with doing all the commercials around town also airs the tv show Heavy Pork. He has over 20 years in the buisiness on both OS's and even he said he has had more macs crash than pc's with his comment "I thought they weren't suppose to do that"

If you treat windows right, it will return the favor.

Also Adobe suite is more stable on Windows.

  • Maybe your teacher was jaded by the vista of the past that was OS 9. An OS x mac crashing is just something I've never seen. If it happens it's rare. If any system is treated right it usually behaves. But macs, I find, are more forgiving where malware and viruses are concerned. Not many, if any, viruses are made for OS x, so that's a plus. Computers are long term so it's only to be expected that in a 5 year period, a user will happen upon some unfriendly sites. Still, how is Windows more secure?

  • Security wise a hacker can breach osx in half the time it takes them to break a windows machine.

Windows and Apple frequently hold hacker events. An Apple hacker recently won 20k for hacking an apple in less than 2 minutes.

Since I work in a tech shop, I have seen tons of macs with problems, 90% of them are the logic board which fails in 2 years (yea 1-2 months after applecare)

Production wise, we get the gay beach ball of death.

They dont crash per se, they lock up and dont come back.

  • I have friends and even know of youtubers who've had their macs for well over two years. My old teacher, for one. And any system is hackable but fact is, macs aren't compromised as often as winPCs are. And under 2 minutes? Where'd you read/hear that story?

And if they weren't coming back then that would be crashing, but that's not something I've ever experienced or read about on the mac forums boards. Outright board failure so soon is very uncommon. What does your tech shop do with macs anyway?

  • Just because you know of people and instances that differ is not an argument.

Mac's aren't compromised as often because Apple doesn't have the marketshare yet to be worth peoples time in most cases.

Call it crashing then; It happens a lot more than you think.

Apparently you havn't been around the mac forums, just google search "mac logic board failure" Often the macforums is at the top of the list.

Our techshop was certified apple repair center. Apple sends us parts to fix macs.

  • Of course that's a valid argument. If none of the dozens of random people I know with macs, including myself, aren't experiencing the tales you claim, it means that there's a certain level of inaccuracy of your tale-telling.

And I did google various wordings of 'mac logic board forum' and the complaints are few and far between. Motherboard failure, however, is quite prevalent, especially with Dells.

  • So 12 or more people that you know are not having any problems, so you can attest for thousands of other mac users based on 12?

Apple logic boards (motherboards) are made by Foxconn/intel which is constantly rated the worst motherboard year after year.

With that fact alone it would be hard to imply that apples logic boards do not fail.

Also, I found facts proving that the most repaired parts of any computer is a tie between motherboards and hard drives.

  • Dozens = More than 12. But yes, a random sample of users is a a good basis.

I never claimed logic boards don't fail, just that it isn't a frequent or common occurrence, especially under 2 years, with macs.

And where did you hear/read that foxconn/intel make mac boards and are the worst rated? Intel boards are on each side of that scale with the best and worst boards. I can't find anything about foxconn being the worst.

Oh yeah, what do you guys do in your tech shop, exactly? Sell? Fix? What?

  • No, with macs logicboard is just over 2 years. Happens a LOT. People get Really mad when their macs severely break 2-3 weeks after warranty expires.

Foxconn makes the worst boards on the market. They make intel and apples motherboards. Reason I say foxconn/intel is because they are now working together.

CompUSA techshop, Full service tech shop. As you know compusa went out of business 1 year ago, sold to TigerDirect.

  • I'm sure they would hate their boards failing within 2 years, but I/they don't see or experience such a regular phenomenon... except with winPCs, actually. Don't most winPCs use intel motherboards? I'm not sure if mac boards are even intel/foxconn.

Again, where are you getting this idea that foxconn makes the worst boards?

You worked at CompUSA? So your dealings with macs were repairing broken ones or what?

  • I never said "within" two years. Second there are many people experiencing this "phenomenon"

Many winPC's ARE made with foxconn motherboards including the MAC which also runs windows.

I got it from overclock, net and countless other sources on google to whom all rate the foxconn motherboards, first or second worst motherboards.

CompUSA was a full service mac/PC techshop. We repaired all PC's and sold all the major brands of PC's

Most commonly repaired brands are HP and Apple.

  • Uhm... ok, then I don't see your point about boards anymore...

And HP too? That's the best PC.

Overclock is a message board, not an official article of rankings or anything. But wow, I think you may be confused. I found a poll thread on there about which board manufacturers are the worst and of the 6 listed, foxconn was voted second LEAST, not second most. Someone even writes, "I don't know why anyone voted for Foxconn, they are like the leader in motherboard production..." Uh, yeah, lol.

  • I was on the phone with one of my buddies who is also a technician and he laughed at your ignorance.

He thinks you are trying to justify your purchase of a mac.

He also says foxconn is definately the worst.

I have tons of sources backing up my foxconn claim.

And HP? that really shows your ignorance, there is not a technician in the whole world that would give HP credit for ANYTHING. They are THE worst.

Apple just has serious logic board & PSU problems.

  • Why are you getting rude? Why should I care what your friend thinks? Why would you inform me of his opinion? Why would you even discuss your youtube row with him? For all I know, he doesn't exist. And as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't. A lot of "why's" there.

You claim OS x crashes a lot more than windows but I don't see that happening. That's not justifying a purchase, it's an observation. Then you claim their board-makers are rated the worst, but the site you offer to verify this turns...

  • ...out to be saying the opposite of what you thought. And though you claim to have many, you don't seem able to cite any sources that back you up.

Now you claim HPs are the worst PCs? I've never owned one but all I ever hear and read is that they're amongst the top-ranked WinPCs. Admittedly, I can't verify how true that is, but I can point you in the direction of a couple of sites that back that up.

Macs seem to have the best boards. And by "PSU," are you referring to the power supply?

  • My friend actually offered to come onto youtube and second my claims.

You see, you are a consumer. You dont know any better than what your friends tell you.

I dont hate macs I work on them for a living (Adobe)

I dont fix them for a living anymore.

I merely pointed out my opinions from personal experiences.

When working on PC's every day and you see more HP and Apple products than anything else it is simple to say X has a motherboard problem because thats what we repair the most.

  • That's pretty weird if it's true about your friend.

Everyone is a consumer, including you. My friends don't really tell me anything, so I'm not sure what you mean there. I'm educated as far as computers are concerned. One should be before they switch OSs, and I am.

I don't hate winPCs. I have come to prefer macs, though.

Actually you phrased your opinion as undeniable fact, which is why I responded with my observed experience.

Again, the only poll I could find disagree w/ you about boards.

  • Thats the problem though, there are no hard core facts on this matter.

The only thing I can offer is my own experience whether or not you choose to believe it.

Undeniable fact is that HP is the WORST, and Apple uses Foxconn motherboards.

The only facts that back up either of our stances lies within the scattered rhelm of google.

It's hard to back up my claims when theres a dozen sites that say it but hard core facts and statistics do not exist.

  • Huh? If you believe that then why'd you respond to me stating that 'macs crash more often than windows,' in the first place? I hadn't written anything comparing the two... or even complementing macs, for that matter.

HP being the worst PC is not an undeniable fact.

Uhm, google's just a search engine that links TO sites, so nothing's scattered within the google realm. I actually can provide a links supporting the idea that foxconn makes some of the best boards and that macs are high-ranked PCs.

  • And I can supply you with links stating foxconn is the worst board and that IMBs are ranked higher than macs.

HP has the worst drivers on the market so if you want a horribly slow computer get an HP, I am 100% confident in that statement.

Because in my experience I have had more macs crash than pc's as I have made clear to you from my first post.

Keep in mind that I use the whole Adobe suite.

The Adobe suite has been more stable on windows ever since mac was ported to intel.

  • Ok, one thing at a time. What are these links calling foxconn "the worst board" (manufacturer)?

  • I'd have to agree with spywell on this, Mac logicboard faliure is 1 of the most common issues with macs.

Go ahead and google "logic board replacement",

  • Heres some of the links that pop up and a small description. these are orded from top to bottom

1 DIY Obsolete.. speaks of video issues

2 appledefects speaks of bussing sound

    3 867mhz is a replacement board-sold

4 logic board... IDK problem - a problem

5.BuzaMoto... Many issues - videoon board

6.Macbook Pro Blank... Logic board on video(recent)

7.repair your iBook's... Video GPU detaches from board

8.Apple - Support - a program for board replacement over 2 years (2 years and die?)

  • A logic board failure on an apple laptop can be from a vast array of issues. The video/display port, Nic, north/south Bridge, audio, USB/Firewire.

Alot of this is often caused by overheating/ESD.

I went ahead and browsed Macs website and found Operating Temps to be between 50° to 95° F.

Modern computer parts can handle much more heat, mostly due to the adequate cooing. I unfortunately inherited a HP laptop with a 939socket processor in it. This is designed for a desktop. It doesnt overheat

  • Yes, people have complained about various problems relating to their macs (and the mac's logic board) but it is not terribly common and does not occur terribly soon after purchase. All boards degrade. Relative to owner numbers, I see Windows PC motherboard failure occur more often and sooner. From audio port failure (what happened to my old dell) to full-on port failure where nothing was responsive (my tech-savvy friend's HP).

  • Joan, are you still under the mindset that macs have different hardware?

"I see Windows PC motherboard failure occur more often and sooner."

Like I previously stated, apples MB is made by Foxconn who makes most of PC motherboards, not only is that a very hypocritical statement, it's a fatally flawed argument.

I would say that you are the textbook definition of pragmatic.

  • Hey Spywell, what happened to you? Ya just sort of left me hanging back there. I wonder what beckoned you back here...

Anywho, the boards in macs are designed differently than the ones in PCs, you should know that. The hardware is NOT exactly the same.

"Pragmatic," huh? That's a pretty good thing to be, so... thanks, I think.

  • I decieded to drop out of the circular argument that you would not move on from.

I have been checking in every day or so looking for new replies to start a new conversation.

Contrary to popular belief the boards are nearly identical, the only difference is that the apples motherboard is locked to only accept apple OS's.

Besides being locked they all share the same chipsets etc so they are the same.

Pragmatic means you will only believe facts over intellectual experience in the matter.

  • Your first and second points just about contradict each other.

The boards are not the same.

And that is not what 'pragmatic' means at all. Also, your experience is hardly "intellectual," no offense. And believing facts over someone else's experience, experience you cannot verify, is the logical, smart, right, thing to do. So still, I'm not sure if you meant it to be, but I'll take that way you're describing me as a compliment.
