For me, School was more fun in the 90's. During lunch & recess me and my friends would just sit around talk about DBZ, pokemon, digimon etc ALL day. Outside, we would play DBZ & take on rolls. I was always Goku. Everybody traded Pokemon cards. I can still remember almost everybody drawing DBZ characters during class. I would Rush home just to watch this. Not to mention WB & FOX kids. Life was so much simpler then. What action Cartoons/Hero's today kids have to build childhood memories from?

i soo wish that they would release the toonami edition on dvd set, it in my opinion had the best voice overs and sound effects out of any version of the english dubs, in the dbz dvd box set they completely redid all the english voice overs and even redid them again a second time in the kai set. im nostalgic :-(

No. In the "Orange Box" season DVD sets, they give you 3 options. Original Japanese Mono, Funimation Dub+Japanese music 5.1, or Funimation Dub+Bruce Faulconer music in Stereo.

The "toonami" edition you're talking about is the Funimation Dub with Bruce Faulconer music. The only dubs they don't have are the Ocean dubs, which are from the early 90's.

Kai is completely new, and while it's not as good as the original, at least they're showing some DBZ on TV again.

However, I also wish that instead of Kai, they would air the Ocean dub up until the Goku vs Jaice and Burter, and then kick in the Fundub with new episodes every week, no repeats. That would really be something special. That way, the newer generation could experience what we did back then, and we would feel as if we were re-living those days of Toonami's glory.
