Oh my gosh. The memories! This was me and my grandma's favorite disney movie, still is. We watched it sense I was 2. Sadly the VHS died on us. I'm only 20 but remember this movie so well. I used to sing it at school or any time and people kind of either looked at me odd or something. So Dear To My Heart, beautiful movie.
I wish someone would upload this beautiful movie. Its a classic!
One of the first movies I ever saw as a child, it all comes back. Can you imagine children today watching such a thing. They want bam bam bam, boom boom boom. We are truly in a dark age.
@35westst It is true that most chidren would be bored with this movie now-a-days. It is sad. Things have gotten so superficial and away from the things that truly make us happy. I love these old movies. They make me happy in a way that the newer movies just can't.
I am so glad to hear that. I am really happy when young people like you appreciate the less known Disney classics. Never lose that appreciation for the simple things in life :)
People actually put on their best clothes for the county fair back then. For most, that was the big event every year.
I've also grown up in rural Indiana for most of my life, so the movie definitely hits home for me, even though so much has changed between then and now.
Yes they did dress up for counties fairs and for church. Now you hardly see people dress nice for church and rarely see girls and women wearing skirts and dresses for anything. I have always love wearing them and always will.
@DurzaGaiden i agree, im 20 also and this one of my fave movies, the movies back then had a lesson of some sort in it, but now they do not, what happened to Disney
@DurzaGaiden no they are not, i remember in the 90s, there were songs that were not appropriate for me, and i stayed away from, but now that i'm older i can listen to them. i have listened to radio disney and some of that stuff is something like i would listen to
I had shivers down my spine the whole time while watching this. So many memories all at once rushing back to me.
They seriously don't make movies like they used to.

but Buena Vista didn't exist until 1953!
can you find this with the RKO logo?
GeniusRKO39 1 year ago
@GeniusRKO39 That's rubbish. Watch Pinocchio. It has Buena Vista at the beginning and that was in 1940.
