  • which one is best, the bead sight or ghost ring sight?

  • thats a really good question.. especially since most of us gun owners own several fire arms, pistols, rifles, shotguns.. etc.... that's a really good question. however your choice of keeping the scattergun as your choice is a great choice.. very flexible/versatile weapon's platform..

    the BOOM STICK!

  • removable barrel?

  • @MrXtream123 Yes,It is very easy to remove the barrel, no tools needed.

  • Is the barrel threaded for screw in chokes?

  • @JCRF No

  • nice looking gun, parkerized finish etc... cool purchase.

outstanding weapon.... reasonable priced.. very versatile excellent the 12 gauge shotgun is the most versatile weapon that a person can legally purchase in a gun store.. it has a variety of uses.. Military... police.... sporting.... home defense..... zombies.... hunting.... etc,... etc... etc...

  • get a life! I wouldn't count on the apocalypse coming. So you can use that knife to cut your steaks otherwise it wont ever get used. By the way the gun that won the west wasn't a shotgun it was a winchester model 1873.

  • @yourfuckinout Really? Society can fall apart pretty damn fast.. Look at the Rodney King Riots and the riots in England. In the first, Korean storeowners took up arms when the cops fled. In the latter, the cops fled and the rioters were allowed to destroy/steal everything in their path. When people evacuate due to a wildfires (like in Texas and California for example), looters ransack their homes and businesses in a matter of hours -- not days, hours.

  • @yourfuckinout (cont.) It doesn't even have to be the apocalypse that causes a SHTF or WROL scenario. Any kind of major natural disaster like an large earthquake or hurricane can easily cause society to crumble and allow crime to run rampant. There's the chance of economic turmoil too, which doesn't seem all that impossible given the "great recession." Oh, and there are 1.4 million gang members in the US now, who I'm guessing would cause a lot of problems in the event of a SHTF or WROL scenario.

  • @yourfuckinout (cont) A bayonet on a shotgun is something that you likely will never use, yes, and is something you probably hope you never will have to use, considering how BAD a scenario has to be in order for you to justify saying "wow, those 9 12ga rounds just didn't do the job, imma have to finish the job with a freaking bayonet!"...nevertheless, its still just really badass to have..and it just makes it that much harder for someone to try and disarm you.

  • BTW u can only own 1 firearm!

  • MY PENIS lol

  • My friend had a Mossberg 500 with a ported barrel when we went duck hunting... standing next to him, that thing has absolutely incredible muzzle blast. He said that it definitely reduced the muzzle rise, but I imagine that it would be less than ideal in a confined space or in low light conditions.

I agree with your points. I have a Remington 870. I love Mossberg ergonomics, but I consider Remington more durable/better build, and easier to work on... so I went with Remington. Either is great.

  • MINIGUN

  • home. this would protect my family and also put plenty of food on the table. but shotguns are also a very good choise. with the right kind of bird shot you will be almost garenteed a hit but with a rifle you have to aim and at night that can be very dificult so i can see both ways.

  • honestly i would choose a browning 30-06 simi automatic, because it is a near perfict firearm. with the 30-06 i can kill game from fox to elk. also it has nail driving accuracy, i would know because it is my main hunting rifle. i have lots of hunting rifles but this one is the best. the 30-06 round is definately a man stopper and the way this gun is built you can easily control the recoil and get off many rounds quickly. the noise this thing creates is very intemidating against someone in my

  • This will probably be my next gun purchase. It will go nicely with my 3 500's.

  • The RAT Bastards didn't give me a bayonet with my 590 GRRRRRRRRRR.........

  • u rush for a shotgun i rush to get the detonator to blow my house and the perimeter to smithereens, if and only if i get overwhelmed, and my weapon of choice for home defense.... Dillon M134D and for hand held SCAR SOPMOD(prim.) AA12(sec.) 1911(side.) for a blade hand forged Katana.

  • dude, thats an awesome shotgun

  • awesome vid! What do the holes in the barrel do for shooting? I've always wondered.

  • @7689568 It helps to reduce muzzle rise, makes for a faster follow up shot.

  • Put Ontario M9 Bayonet into your tags. You'll get more hits.

  • the knife is definitely sweet. plus its good to just have a large anyway. how much did the gun cost you?

  • @JosephCee 600 USD with the bayonet

  • @EN2HAMMSTER damn, thats out of my price range.

  • @EN2HAMMSTER thats alot for a 590a1, I bought mine at cabelas on sale for 400 (no bayonet but theyre useless unless you have proper training with them in my opinion)

  • @FROSTBITE23 You don't need proper training with this weapon. Know your gun safety and you're fine, I was dominating clays and paper plate targets with this shotgun out of the box, nothing special about it, just a badass shotgun.

  • @MusicMan100 I meant the bayonet when i was talking about training, not the shotty

  • @JosephCee Down here in Georgia I just picked up a 590 special purpose for 300 used.

  • I believe the AK47 would be your best bet only because theres a 0 maintence fee with them but a shotgun is awesome as well

  • what if you could only own 0 firearms? welcome to australia...

  • @louiskbfah Change the socialist government!!!

  • I would go with the AK47.

  • Guns are only owned by morons don't forget...

  • @tnoyy34rt I'm a junior in college with 3.0 GPA, I'm 3 semesters away from a bachelors degree in criminal justice, I've never missed a day of work, I have no debt, I'm in good health with a full set of teeth, and all of my friends and family are able to know I'm dependable. I own this weapon along with 7 others, am I still a moron? I pray you have an argument that won't make you look like a dumbass.

  • Winchester 120 ranger all the way!

  • I love the 590. I wish they would have made one that could take the 3 1/2" cartridges (just for more versatility) and the breacher choke.

  • Getting mine soon !! :)

  • Nice video, thanks. I agree that the shotgun is overall the best weapon for home defense and the most versatile i.e. survival, hunting, etc.

  • For home defense, a 25mm minigun with explosive ammo on the roof will definitely do the trick. And for support, a few SAM turrets, just in case.

  • haha expansion of the west came through the cavalry with gattlin guns killing old indian women and men and lil kids not a few rugged settlers with shotguns. i go with the mossberg 500. PG+Ontario Bayonet+Surefire forend=fuhk off.

  • I have a friend that is close to a congressman....something is fixing to happen with ammunition......he is telling me to buy as much as you can now because the government is gonna make it hard to get with new regulations. They cant take your guns but they can make it harder for you to shoot. I buy a box of shells everytime I am in the store now...you heard it here first so buy now or suffer later!!!

  • @stars13x Thanks for the heads up , your warnings have not fallen on deaf ears .

  • @stars13x Agreed. Obama has been overheard saying the USG is going to use the backdoor approach to Gun Control. In addition to ammo control, the government will probably put forth a number of things to mess with gun owners ie higher taxes, fees, limits, rules, etc etc. For example, a few years ago, the State of CA 'safety comm' tried to limit ammo purchases to 50 rounds per day. It didn't pass yet such big-government nanny-state games will be used on us.

  • @stars13x do you have any specifics as of now?

  • I agree totally!!! Its a all around tool.....it provides protection and food!!!

  • my remington 870 express super mag. shoots any 12 guage shell ever made! from 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch.

  • My trusty remington 12 gauge semi-Auto

  • awesome video

  • Roger that EN2HAMMSTER!

We lost the privilage of pump shotguns in Australia! There's been a big run on coachgun doubles but they just aint the same.

  • @bigbadnewman I've heard about that and I'm sorry man. Unlike my friends who own guns, as America's values change with the feminist and progressive thinking making further inroads everywhere, with schools, the media, Hollywood, and government being anti-gun I can see major changes possibly occurring to our right to own guns in the future.

  • @freeheretic111 I do not believe American values have changed, a small minority of elitists and progressives who have control of the media and big corporations and are in bed with progressives in our government through propaganda are trying to convince Americans that they are in the majority and that progress is a good thing but I hate to be the one to tell you this but you are in the minority with only 20 % of the population who have been lead to think like you. Long live the Republic.

  • @EN2HAMMSTER I hope you are right and I'm wrong in my assessment of how the values of modern Americans have changed. Long live the Republic.

  • probley a glock 19 or a night hawk 1911. i think a pistol is more versitile because you can carry it easily. i do agree about your home defense.

  • What ammo do you keep in your shotgun for home defense?

  • @MrBladeDude 00 buck, but thats me.

  • @EN2HAMMSTER i own a mossberg 500, i use it for hunting mainly, but i keep it loaded just in case, i have a bead sight i am looking to replace it with ghost ring sights, what is your recomendation?

  • @danusmcgator I do not see a need to replace your bead sight. Bead sights are very fast to acquire a target and work quite well for most situations, unless you're planning to shoot a lot of slugs over 40 yards then you could benefit from a ghost ring. Don't under estimate the bead. Thanks for watching.

  • @EN2HAMMSTER i use my mossberg for still hunting, and bird hunting, but i need more than a bead for still hunting, i shoot alot of wild boar which tend to be moving about 60 yards from my tree stand, so i like a ghost ring sight, but i would like to know your recomendation for what brand, make or model ghost ring sight.

  • @danusmcgator It sounds for what you want to do a ghost ring would help, but I am not able to recommend any sight, the only one I am familiar with is the one that came on my gun from the factory from Mossberg which I do like a lot. It is adjustable for elevation and windage and uses a high viz fiber optic front sight which is real easy to see.

  • @EN2HAMMSTER I see yours has ghost rings and a rail... ive never seen that on a stock mossberg... and cant find em on the internet anywhere...

  • @vampire847 I think it was a limited production special edition because it also came with a bayonet.

  • I shoot a somewhat similar model of Mossberg, but that particular model of the 590 has got to be the ultimate. The ported barrel and rail mounted ghost ring with M16 style front sight? Ultimate. Awesome purchase.

  • people say the action isnt smooth to operate. Your video sorta shows that its smooth...whats your opinion on it?

  • @MrLookout73 It was a little stiff when it was new and just out of the box, but after shooting it , cleaning and lubing it, the action just gets better and better.

  • I recently bought one as well. Although the version I have is the 18.5" model with a 5 shell magazine. Love it. I plan on getting the SPX model as well down in the future, which is the same model you feature in this vid.

  • One firearm? The one you have right there is it. nothing shoots 9-9mm pellets per trigger pull, short of a machine gun! and you can add a bayonet on that model to dig with to boot.

  • is it 8 plus 1 shells???

  • @shadeshiest22 yes it is if you use 2 and 3/4 in. shells

  • Amen!

  • and added a side saddle that holds 6 more shells. it was $40

  • If you're reloading to slow, like me you'll need to go to the pistol over the bayonet, in a worst case scenario. Just picked up a 590A1 model 51663. Great video!

  • Hi Point!!!! LULZ
