1. French&American Revolutions weren't exactly passive. In history there was one "non-violent" revolution, India, and still many died.

2. That IS the flag of the People's Republic of China. Chinese Communist Party flag has the Hammer&Sickle.

3. Nice photos at the end, I you can also find similar photos in 'capitalist nations' against socialist protesters. except that weird torture one, the US sends people to the island of Cuba for that kind of treatment.

The flag has the Communist Party's colors and symbols. And before the communist revolution the flag was completely different.

The original flag of China as used by the Qing Dynasty was completely different. It was yellow with a blue and white dragon on it. The KMT initially also adopted those colors.

First of all China had a revolution that mean new make over of China. That means for a new flag. The KMT was never a real central government so therefore there flag does not represent China. It never has and never will be. The "Communist flag" is the real deal because the whole nation of people recognize it.
