Just sounds like a New Zealand accent to me... I bet yours is very strong to anyone else from a country other than yours, therefore it's unfair to put down the 'strong accent' in this video. Must one expect them to find Americans or Brits to feature in their safety video instead?? This is Air NEW ZEALAND after all...
Hang on... i thought if its a national airline- therefore a charter flight, they would use a boeing 757? i think someones been giving me misleading information at college! lol! :)
haha this is kindof an awkward video but itll get your attention...im not sure i wanna be sitting in that aircraft either haha but it was a good video!
OMG!!! I was listening to Mark and Brian (on 92.3 KGON in Portland) and thought I'd give this a look. Apparently, I'm not the only one who heard the show this morning. Those guys are the greatest chuckleheads ever.
I can understand the instruction on board in case of danger, but if il60% go to pieces that serve all of this? I continue to confirm for now but no air feet on the ground or sea
what accent???lol We are new Zealanders not english (upperclass english at that) and anyway there are many accents throughout britian, so which is the right way to speak do you think mr/mrs/ms/miss/master judge everyone... kia ora (also means thanks) I work on this plane the 737-300 for airnz and enjoy seeing the new video, you dont have to like it you just have to pay attention its your safety we have in mind. Thanks guys! (The crew) kia ora. xo
What a great video. Very clever graphics, loved it. Bubbly, friendly and fun. Paid attention to the whole thing. Never done that when actually on the aircraft. Shame about Maori greeting and strong accent. Change those two things and we have one classy and possibly the best safety video world wide. It will certainly give Richard Branson food for thought. If you didn't know better you would have associated with a virgin Vid. Well done Air NZ.
Guess what wil go through my mind the next time a airline hostess walks away from me? Even with their strict luaguage rules and expensive airfare, Air New Zealand is my pick, just for that bit.

As a New Zealander, I have to say that I am constantly embarassed by the poor diction of my fellow Kiwi's. It isn't so much that most of us have a thick accent, we don't, so much that we often speak so poorly. Clear enunciation is a lost art in this country.
As a New Zealander, I have to say that I am constantly embarrassed by the self importance of my fellow kiwi's. It isn't so much that most of us feel that we are better than everyone else. It's is just a few of us who feel that our views of trivial matters such as enunciation are important and need to be shared. Zzzzzzzz
No need to be offensive, hads010. If you have ever travelled overseas you would notice that most English speaking foreigners speak far better English than we do. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't matter for most people. But anyone effectively representing New Zealand in an international adverstising campaign should make an effort to be intelligible.
This is brilliant! I paid absolute attention throughout the entire demonstration. I've, much like practically every other air traveler, usually try to ignore this pre-flight event.
The crew members were well presented, both female as well as the male. I could see from their countenance that they were having fun the whole time.
