@freespiritedfreckle I actually.....for some reason truly believe that you're wrong. I do not think Sonny deals with drugs. He tries to keep drugs out of PC. If they were there.....he wouldn't be the most powerful mobster in PC. Because the others like AZ and the ones from Miami and Chicago do. He tries to protect his territory (PC and the people) from those drugs..The shipments that they always talk about could be other illegal things..
the sign on the wall outside the door kim and his buddy walk out, is hanging upside down. The set director I guess didn't know his Chinese characters.
Very good my eagle-eyed friend!!! Now, I gave the picture to my dad, who put it right side up, and he has no idea what the sign says. LOL He says the first character (the one on the bottom in the scene), means either "cent" or "angel" and he hasn't a clue what the other two characters are. He wondered if it was Japanese. (Some characters in Japanese don't translate well into Chinese according to him.)
I think they are fake characters, don't say anything...but still upside down. The Chinese character for month, yue, looks like the upper right character, but upside down (based on how characters are formed).
Frisco learned how the pearls were being passed one by one. Anna and Robert both seen the glitter but Anna was blurry when she seen it and Robert wasn't. He just had to remeber what he saw and where he was. This is one of the great stories of the '80's.
