  • hey, how did you make that flare appear; i know its halo and flare, but how did you make it appear so realistic?

    thanks 4 answer!

  • Hey.

I like added one vertex by itself, gave it a halo material, went to the right for the halo options, Flare, star, etc... It's pretty much random, though, because I can't reproduce that effect now.

  • but how can you apply it to the camera?

  • hey thats prettty cool..for the camera did you just duplicate the curve and make the camera follow path??

  • Bingo!

  • thanks allot for the help srry if i seemed mean or demanding i wasn't trying to be but thanks.

  • No problem, dude.

  • how do you make it glow like that? plz help me

  • Whoa, chill man. I used GLOW from the Sequence Editor. Just go there, press SPACE, add Scene. With the scene selected, press SPACE, add Glow. Press F10 twice to enter the glow options and before rendering press DO SEQUENCE from the Render Options panel (F10 once).

  • @agent47crows

Have you tried to use nodes to do the glow effect?...You get far more control that way + more options.

  • needless to say a neverending wormhole is theorically impossible, a Wormhole must have 2 points, a begining and a closing point. Thus this leads to the conpect of it being a funnel in space, basically compressing space within the phenomenon. and with the walls of the wormhole, it wouldnt look digital, maybe for a portal into cyberspace, but not for a natural occcuring phenomenon in the universe

  • Good thinking, actually.

But then again, nobody actually saw a wormhole, let alone try to loop it, so there's really a lot of possibilities. (could a loop be the result of a buffer sequence?)

  • indeed, but its mostly based on things i've read and my own theorys lol,, but good work on atempt, i would like to see a better verison if you ever get the chance to make one lol

  • @palaptine Needless to say it's just a simple tutorial for a 3d engine. ;)

  • can you send me this wormhole?

  • is this blender?

  • Yeah.

  • nice its a damn good program but how good is your computer? when ever im trying to use simple tools on blender with lots of objects it keeps on freezing

  • Dude.

Lemme start on a short story.

I first got Blender running in about September 2005. At the moment, I had a Pentium IV 630 (single-core, 3.01 GHz), an nVIDIA GeForce EN 6600 LE, 1x512 MB RAM on 533 MHz. So not that good, OK?

Blender always ran great on these settings (sure, it required tons of tweaking to get the best out of my CPU). Up until recently, I had the exact same CPU.

So it's not really the computer that counts, rather the install or the program itself. Try re-installing, dude.

  • cool

  • Thx.

  • Nicely Done! it reminds me Of AudioSurf in some way

  • Aye, thanks!

  • Should have looped it and made it longer. Then add the Dr. Who theme music. Looks realy good though. :o)

  • Aye... well, I made it a DreamSceneTM (Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate property) wallpaper, it loops the loop like hell!

    Thanks.

  • Nice! can you make a tutorial for this?

  • Yeah. I've tried it 9 times, though, I just lose control over the wireframe.

    I'm gonna try again, aye?

  • Thanks! could you let me know when you post it up?

  • Sure.

  • its on

  • You rock! Keep it up man.

  • Yo, thanks!

  • i geuss so...

Ya Know What, did the film "Contact" Inspire you to make this

  • No, but I've always wanted to do something of that scale!

  • thanks and cant wait for the tut man gret colours and effects and wire frame around the worm hole and the sun glance thingy in the cammera and ... its great can seriously not wait for the tutorial!!!

  • Aye, dude!

You wouldn't believe how easy it is and how nasty it looks in the 3D view!

  • yea your right i woudent

  • holy sh*t is that in blender or chrome?

  • Lol dude, it's Pivot Stickfigure Animator!

  • reminds me of doctor who meets tron :)

    like it :D

    ;)

  • Thanks!

  • Render time?

  • 2 minutes.

  • very very nice like always you should try to make it multicolor maybe more cilyns diff. particles and color otherwise good job man

  • Thanks dude!

You know those mid 70-80's dudes high on acid trip or stuff? I thought of doing the rainbow coloured tube, but you'd all be high now, aye?

  • almost like the stargate warp effect. nice!

  • Thanks, dude!

  • Very nice. Are you going to show us how you did it?

  • Yeah, a tut coming extremely soon, tomorrow I have my last exam and I'll be able to do hundreds of tutorials!

  • WOW THATS COOL!

  • Thanks. For the help, too!

  • wow, was it particles?

  • No, dude, wireframe tube!

  • then how come there are many colours?

  • Hm?

  • sorry mabye im not being clear,

was the tube coloured? because mabye its the quallity of video

  • Oh, right!

It's the quality... funny thing actually, because I rendered as avi, like every other render I upload here, normal avi... but I manually changed the extension to mpg to get it into DreamScene and I uploaded it as such. Now, those lines of odd colour are a symbol of mpg behaviour. Did I just fool the YouTube master server?!

  • ha, funnny i always make my renders in .mov format

  • Hm... Macintosh user?

    Cool, how is it?

  • nah, im not a macintosh user. i have an

in-built quicktime player. but my dad is a Macintosh user. what ive gathered from him is that a macintosh is very unlike a PC. and he always recomends me to have one. actually macintosh computers are very good and reliable. but i prefer my very own PC.

  • whoa!! dude, i use a PC with an in-built quicktime player!

  • oh no too many comments sorry

  • Aye, no problem 'bout the comments.

I'm just saying Mac is too user-friendly. Too friendly for me, aye?

  • now dude.... i believe we all have a destiny and i think that your destiny is to make a fucking tutorial arhggg man thats sooo cool and i want to know tell meee!!!!!!!!!!! argggggggg!!!!!!!!! help!!!!!!!!! thats so cooooll!!!!!

  • Oy, dude! Chill, like the **** out, breathe normally... of course I intended to make a tut on this, that's why I posted this, so you can awe all over again, wait a few seconds and then beg for a tutorial.

Surely you can understand how much fun it can be, right? No harm done, a tut will arrive soon enough.
