No, you can't. You can buy special paint though and bake it on.

instead of spending a lot of money for vinyl, just use masking tape, does the same thing, you can draw on it and still cut out a stencil and save your money.

This is a great video that showed me the basics of exactly how etch cream acts and how to use it. Im sorry everyone is giving u crap, i really dont know what could be easier than cutting a stencil and painting cream on...but, i guess some people need it more simple...especially if your majoring in art.

in my advanced art class, we did glass ecthing with extremely complex designs, and our instructor had way easeir ways to etch the actual glass half the work u just did...
