The F-15 Eagle, out preforms it in every way when it comes to aerial combat, also not one has ever been shot down ever!.

We could afford roughly 282 vs 65, and these jets would win every single time vs the f-35.

The second thing is being The JDRADM missile that is in development, but thats not until 2020.

Even the Air Force it self, having examined other jets say this is the ideal replacement for our hornets. Though it would still be nice to get a fighter/interceptor to work in concert with the F-35.

Even the US sought the involvement of other countries in an attempt to share the high developement cost of the F-35. It was a big mistake cancelling the Arrow back in '59. @TheK1ll0 ok buddy, here are some facts for you. "As of 2008, some 480,000 young men are brought into the Army via Conscription in Russia in two call-ups each year. The term of service is 12 months. Eligible age is 18 to 27 years old."
this pretty much says that a large amount of your military did not volunteer for their duty. this makes them less reliable and disciplined.
russia is not currently deployed anywhere. your last deployment was to that absolute disaster over in georgia.

Canada however is deployed to Afghanistan. we have battle hardened veterans who know what it is to be at war. like i said before, its quality not quantity that counts

Russia may be a neighbour but they are most definitely NOT an ally or even a friend. This is not a NATO/USA versus Russia issue. Even traditionally neutral countries such as Finland and Sweden are increasingly wary and distrustful of of Russia because of their constant bullying of Poland and the Baltic republics.
