This is so messed up. I live about 2 1/2 hours away from Fort Hood and I was shocked to hear this. However, as soon as I found out the suspected shooter was of Jordanian heritage, I knew people were going to point fingers and condemn Middle Eastern/Muslim people of being terrorists. Middle Easterners/Muslims are good people, it's the fundamental extremists that are bad. Besides, we don't even know what was behind all of this.

I don't think it is necessary to associate any religion to the incident. A guy can be a criminal irrespective of their religion. However, this incident is very sad, and my prayers go to all the families that lost their beloved ones.

personally ive been through about 5 suicide briefs with the army and i am kinda pissed off at the fact that this was an army psychiatrist specializing in PTSD. wtf. i havent been on any deployments yet but i could understand how one could become so stressed out and depressed because of going on another deployment. its sad it really is. the army stresses on suicide prevention so much that he knew what he should have done but he just couldnt do it
