I feel bad that he didn't make it especially due to his circumstances and what happened to his fiancee' but his performance of "fix you" was mediocre and sub-par at best - especially compared to his amazing audition. It's about competition and performance and what would competition be if judges started giving sympathy handouts? I know it sounds harsh but it's true.. I still wish him and his family all the best and I hope he makes it huge on his own.
