  • OMG, I remember this skit!! One of my favorites!! Loved Gilda - miss her!

  • Gilda Rader was the best! Years later, I'm still laughing at her skits. Hilarious!

  • This must have been 1980 since they mentioned Mt St Helens. I was going to ask what year it was but that explained it right there. LOL

  • Miss you Gilda. There will never be another like you.

Thanks for posting the video broadwayyforeverr. It brought back great memories!

  • any more RR clips please?

  • Totally miss her !!

  • So, this was right before she had died? :<

  • @oOxKatieKatxOo No, this was 9 years earlier.

  • I love her! =)

  • HAHA Classic! So sad she passed away.... :(

  • How could anyone NOT like this... OMG she was a hoot.

  • classic roseanne_roseannadanna...yes, she was definitely a true talent who is sorely missed (:-(

  • Oh my god WIN!

  • absolutely amazing

  • Grew up with SNL! The show is just not the same. These guys wrote their own material. Wish there was more talent out there. Thanks for posting.

  • Check out the SNL episode from '78 with OJ Simpson as the guest host. The RR commentary about the dentist is one of her funniest!

  • God I miss her. She was so funny.

  • Miss you, Gilda...

  • The one dislike (at the time of my post) must be from 'coachwolf's' Dad.

  • The share link doesn't work :(

  • Last time on SNL, I wonder what jokes she´s telling up in Heaven?! Some think that when the earth shakes it´s God laughing.

  • I love this.

  • I was probably in junior high when Gilda was on SNL, and my dad found RR so disgusting that not only would he not let me watch SNL, he tore down and hid a poster of her that one of my best friends had given me. That stuff NEVER works - she's still one of my all-time favorite SNL characters.

  • @coachwolf HAHAHAHA.....My Dad.....& My MOM found her to be disgusting. I had a small B&W TV in my room and i would fake going to bed and then watch it.....HAHAHAHAHA

  • I love how Gilda once stated that so many of these stories drew from real life experiences, like the restroom soap one and the "farting chair" bit. Hardly any other Weekend Update guest characters, especially recurring ones, hold a candle to Roseanne Roseannadanna!

  • Wow i have a whole new respect for her. This almost made me piss my pants. She went off the deep end at the end. Also takes a lot of commitment to build up like that and have it all come together in the end.

  • No female comedienne has ever come close to touching Gilda's talent!

  • thank you so much for posting this!!! i love Gilda... i watched each and every episode while it aired live... thanks for bringing back the memories... it never gets old :D

  • omg wth was that i think that was a lil disturbing

  • 98 likes and 0 dislikes-the way it should always be :) love you Gilda!

  • I don't think I ever saw this one or I was so stoned I don't remember it. (I think I would have, I remember most of the rest) I'm laughing so hard I think I'm gonna pee my pants. She left us way too soon.

  • I watched this live (on tv) in 1980. I was beyond a huge fan of Gilda, and this was my fav character of all time on SNL to this date. Her priceless characterization of Anderson Cooper's mom was absolutely the best comedy writing I had ever seen. It's too bad Gilda is not with us anymore. Gene Wilder was the luckiest man on earth :)

  • Thank you for posting. Excellent comedian. Sorely missed.

  • 69 likes LOL!!!

  • i wonder if there really was a Richard Fedder of Ft. Lee, NJ?

  • Yes, Richard Feder was the brother- in- law of Alan Zweibel, the writer who co-wrote the RR sketches with Gilda.

  • lol... "took her family's good name and put it on every ass in America." hahaha

  • SNL at its all-time greatest! Gilda Radner was great!

  • @yogiOK You are right..the first five years were the best...and Gilda had such great talent.. I miss her so much. I can not believe it has been 22 years since she has passed.. R. I. P. Gilda!!

  • She was amazing.

  • This was the best time on SNL.

  • Here have a field day-

    Priceless ;)

  • RIP Gilda Radnder (1946-1989)

  • thank you so much for this. there is only one other roseanne , that i put up . i wsih there were more on youtube. def one of the funniest things have ever seen.

  • Roseanne Rosannadanna was the funniest skit on television.

  • I love Gilda!!!!!!!

  • Bleach the hair, and she IS DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ!

  • The 3 funniest people I know of: Gilda Radner doing Roseanne, Chris Biddle doing the Quiznos story, and Don Novello doing Fr. Guido Sarducci. I'm limp from laughing!

  • @cimbalok : I agree. Add to the list Mike Meyers (Dieter of "Sprockets," Coffee Talk w/ Linda Richman, Wayne's World) and Dana Carvey (Church Lady, Bush '41, McLaughlin Group).
