When I'm at a party and someone has a guitar, they always start playing stuff like Wonderwall thinking they can impress the ladies... I snatch the guitar from their laps and instantly make the girls wet with CCR songs ^^,
Great concert, thoug some of the tunes are played just a bit too fast....but still grovy and really good. But the concert could have been visually a lot better if the rest of the muscians had moved their asses on stage 10% like John does..he seams like he has a good time and enjoy beeing there..the rest of the musicians(except for the drummer)look like they are playing in a funeral...
This was always one of my favorites. John still is a great performer but somehow it isn't the same without the rest of CCR. Maybe its just that I am older and when this was on the charts it was such a magical time in my life.
@MrDeadbabys No one. John had a falling out with the rest of the band several years ago. One of the other original members was his brother Tom Fogerty who recently passed away.
ok, I'm 16 years old and I love this kind of music, my friends and i have a band of rock music and we play many songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's because we really like them, we think that those years were the best of rock music.
Saludos.

Oh my God! I look at the crowd shots, and can't help but feel older than DIRT. I was cruising San Jose California waiting to get drafted and go to Nam, when CCR was first doing this stuff!
I thank God for two things, here. Fogerty is still rocking, and my number never came up.
one of the few very talented musicians from the sixties and seventies that didnt do heavy amounts of drugs. Surprise! He's still around today and sounds almost exactly the same.
I think the sound was messed up on the first half of this show recording, almost like a cable was half unplugged and they were like "oh shit!!" and plugged it all the way in.
John Fogerty ... surely gave me the rythmmm and love for his special scratchy voice in the late '60s - early 70s ... he is one man that is in my top ten hit from wayback...
@turion2005 ... much appreciated this superb sound here :-)
Absolutely Su(fuckin)perb!! Just pure Rock n Roll. I thought the original version of this was one of Creedence Clearwater Revival's best songs. (I know, picking a best CCR song is difficult cos they have so many great tunes). But now after seeing this video, Down On The Corner IS my favourite CCR song. John Fogerty, I salute you!! (And cheers to you turion2005 for the video).
My 5 favorites are 'Green River', 'CrossTie Walker', 'Sweet Hitchhiker', 'Ramble Tamble', and #5: just about every other song they did! Another song that really kicks ass is 'Keep on Chooglin'. When I saw them in concert in the early 70's, it was their encore song. I think his best solo album is 'Blue Moon Swamp', and I like 'Swamp River Days' the best from that one- even better than 'Blue Boy' . Sure wish he'd do 'Swamp River Days' live.
