  • I absolutely love watching this video. I view it each time before I "try" to make rotis. Each time I watch I see a little extra. Granny makes it seem so easy and effortless; which obviously for her it is, after so much experience.Your Granny is my inspiration to making the perfect roti!.Thanks for posting. If you have time I think you should video her making something else.

  • she is speaking urdu

  • Very beautiful grandma! Thank you!

  • this stuff is reall tasty!!..this is finger licking good....omg i need one or 2 right now!!!! mabybe 3 ...

  • desi ghee heheheheh

  • I want to see the rest! How is it different, once it is cooked, for having been flattened, then rolled up, then flattened again?

  • @DailyBrusher yes that is what she appears to be doing ... flatten and again roll it out into circular shape ... one she already rolled is already baking on tava ... after first rolling out she puts clarified butter (ghee) on surface and then cuts with knife and rolls into cone shape and then flattens and rolls out again. I too saw this first time. We Gujaratis dont put ghee while rolling. We put it after baking is done. Other than that this process seems identical.

  • @DailyBrusher Sorry I understood your post after I posted a comment. She is not rolling again after baking. The rolling is done twice without any baking in between. So you are wrong in thinking that once cooked it will be rolled again. The rolling is done like I said in my first post. That is: first roll, then apply ghee and cut one radius length with knife and roll in conical shape. You get a layered cone. Flatten it and roll again into circle shape. And then bake. Hope you get it.

  • nice technique, thank nani for sharing. Does she have any tips on how to make it round? Mine always comes out in weird shapes :S Please let me know. Thanks :)
