I think most of the posters are missing some of the hidden levels of sophistication that the other robots do not have. Mainly being able to operate in a insanely hostile environment! Asimo would not even function in hard vacuum, radiation, and a temp range of -160ºC to over 200ºC
It is also made to simulate a human because it will use human tools and replace a astronaut from taking the hour to get suited up, go EVA and the hard ships of that. So, I think people are not seeing it what what it is

I think one of the hardest thing of building a robot is its balance, if the robot has foot. Use wheels instead of foot can fix the problem, but it's limited to move on flat surface. yeah in a few years there will be no production or service jobs. robots will do them. the only jobs for people will be robotics technician jobs. all the other people will be deemed not useful.
thats why i am getting my robotics engineering degree so that i will be deemed useful and will survive.
